Especially my initial interaction with the young lady who checked me in. Very courteous and professional - with such a compassionate nature. I cannot, however, comment equally for the technical staff. I had only one interaction and it felt distanced and cold. A patient having anything done medically ( however intricate or simple) is very stressed and tense - and that interaction with the technician is what calms the patient. My interaction was uneasy. I do hope that there are other technicians at this office who are more compassionate with their patients.

When a person is in pain just need support and I was in lot pain and that manager make my pain worst. I ended up going to Northwell in Bayshore and did my MRI same day. After spending days trying to talk my way through this MRI, I became overwhelmed with thoughts of being loaded into a cylinderical tube with its lining inches away from my face with no means to bolt for freedom. When I arrived I discovered that it's a beautiful building with parking on the premises. Walking inside of the building, it's similarity to that of a pack of sardines. It was packed!! My name was called once to pick up paperwork to fill out, my name called a second time to be given paperwork to take home. I was hoping that I wouldn't be there all day but my hopes dissipated after waiting for 45 minutes or more. A final calling of my name to enter the MRI waiting area. After sitting in the MRI waiting area momentarily, I was given instructions to change and lock up my belongings. Entering the MRI lab I see a newer machine that was very attractive and it gave a visual impression that it was not a confined space. I anticipated that my body would not need to be inserted entirely. I was right, they set me on the table, inserted my foot in a boot on the table and slide me in waist deep, gave me head phones and an emergency button. SUCCESS! This was a breeze. After the noisy sessions were over, I was released to go home. All that worrying for nothing. They provided quality and professional care. 4.5 Stars rounded up to 5. I'm a happy camper... That cannot be said for the obnoxious and ghetto reception staff because they all seem to be unaware of the word "whispering". I hope this was my first and last time being referred here. After I arrived for my appointment and filled my forms, I waited in the waiting room only to hear each of the three front desk staff bicker, yell, gossip and complain about their bosses, home life, and work load louder than the television that was on. Other patients around me acted like this was normal behavior they've encountered here before. Well I wasn't expecting it and, now unfortunately I know who's who and what their auntie did last weekend (no matter how much I tried to tune them all out.)

You input the info from the prescribing dr and take it from there I was seen at the Laurelton location on Merrick Blvd. Once you're at the location the receptionists are professional and the check in process is short and respectful of your time. They use an iPad to eliminate use of paper and cut down time. I was taken to the waiting area where I used a small room to skip into a gown and wait for the mammogram and sonogram. They give you a large bag for your things and when the exam is over you can keep it. In total my appointment was about an hour with ease.

Every time he moved my Mom's hand he said, "I don't want to hurt you" and he moved her hand carefully.
