I by- pass the check in booth because no one was present so I went to the counter and was to go back to the booth. The lady at check in had just returned and she tagged if she could help me and I told her that I had to check in and she got a little rude. Her reply and tone was, I'm helping two people. She could have stated that she will be with me in a moment, a much better reply! I went back to the front desk as I was summoned from the person that sent me a way and he was kind and pleasant to deal with. After check in I dealt with the techs. Tina was the first, giving a mammogram it was a strange experience for me e as a guy but I made it through. Jesse was the sonogram tech. Very pleasant experience and both were giving me information as to what was about to occur. I had to do an chest X-ray and that also went well. I didn't get the text name but he was very apologetic for the delay in the waiting time. He didn't know that they put out charts in door rack. The facility is emaculate and very much in order. NYU Langone is blowing up all over long island; imagine my shock (after speaking to 6 different people), when I was told they don't have the equipment to do my CT Scan, and I had to go all the way into Manhattan to get it done?! How is that even possible?! Next, I called Northwell Health, who is able to do the CT Scan but I would have to wait a month to get an appointment. Oy vey! Luckily, someone recommended NY Imaging Specialists, and Bingo! They took my insurance, and I was able to get an appointment for the following week! I was in and out within half an hour! I didn't even get a chance to sit down in their waiting area. lol Talk about service! The entire staff, from the front desk to the technician, were all so kind and professional. The images were definitely an eye opener to what your baby inside looks like. So a lot less guessing and more WoW's of you have Mama's eyes and Dad's nose/lips. If you are far enough along as I was when getting done and baby is active you might get a show of smiles, winks, yawns and hand/foot movements. They offer various picture packages that vary in pricing, so be prepared to pay for what you can afford (out of pocket, not insurance covered). I opted for a package that came with a Teddy Bear that had the sound of my babies heartbeat inside. Super Sweet and nice memory as I waited for baby to arrive. Also fun to share with baby when having Mommy/Daddy and me time, and eventually to give the child when old enough. The technician was professional and quickly positioned us for the experience, keeping all neat, clean. She even pointed out some of the fun, but you will see it so much more clearly than your regular doctor office. This NYU Langone Radiology Center is easy to find and has a parking lot. This location feels…read morewell-maintained, safe, and well-resourced. The facility is bright, clean and modern. The staff members are welcoming and friendly. The care team here is patient, kind, reliable, caring and understanding. About 90% of the patients here are White, 2% Asian, 5% Hispanic, and 3% African American. Around 70% were born in the USA and came to the U.S. before age 12, 80% came from highly educated families, and 70% are financially well off. The place was busy but quiet. You check in either on the kiosk or with the receptionist. I started to check in with the front desk who was friendly. After checking in you just wait to be called. Most of the time they are on time. Even when they were behind schedule, I had to wait for a little while. When you get called you go to a room to be prepped for whatever imaging you are going for. You wait in that room until they are ready to do the imaging. Everyone was attentive and accommodating. I am pleased with the quality of care here and feel comfortable coming here. The Radiologists look at your images thoroughly. Even though I am the only Asian person here for the majority of the time, I felt welcomed, safe, respected, and supported, especially as a person with a disability in that environment.
