Visited Project Donuts in Manchester, TN Family-owned business for 30 years. Began as Donut Palace, then changed to Project Donuts and expanded to #murfreesborotn as Project Donuts + Coffee Bar This original location in Manchester serves both cake and yeast variety donuts, so the trip was planned to try their cake donuts (old fashioned, cake, and apple fritters), which are not yet available in their Murfreesboro location. The 45 minutes road trip was definitely worth it. In fact, the Butter Pecan Yeast donut is definitely a candidate for the @donutexplorers #donutoftheyear 2022! The legacy continues...

The size of the coffee. It was only filled a little over half way and she added SIX pumps of syrup for this size . Wild

For good quality, quantity and quality you can't beat it, and it is just off the interstate. Most go for the pizzas--can't blame you there. Creative choices that are cheesy too. But the table service is outstanding. The waiters are friendly and very helpful throughout the meal. My chicken fettuccine with broccoli added was solid--the sauce a bit thin but the freshness of the broccoli and chicken made up for that. The mushrooms are a great appetizer. Not a real bar place--beer and wine only. Plenty of parking--nice because the place stays jammed.

The wife had the chicken pita and came with tender chicken which she really enjoyed and had fries with that . It's cozy in the inside and cool decor on the walls . They also have steaks and pizza . We'll try that another time . Worth a stop if you're in the area. Lots of parking outside .

We ordered and had a small wait, but we literally watched the gentleman making our sandwiches with careful attention to detail. It clearly shows that they take great pride in their craft. Bread was very fresh. All ingredients tasted great. They even have a vegan option. All in all, I would definitely go back again to try their hot sandwiches. Definitely worth a try!

The signage is a little easy to miss, but I walked in to two friendly people eager to serve me lunch. They have a fairly large selection of hot and cold sandwiches, and a slightly more gourmet feel to the items and menu boards. I was torn between the chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich and the #1 combination sub, which comes with a variety of meats. I was encouraged to try the #1, so that's what I went with. They were happy to accommodate my modifications to the sandwich (no onions or tomatoes, please). I grabbed chips and a drink from the mini-fridge to complete my meal. The bathroom in the back is a little cramped and hard to find but clean and gets the job done. My sandwich was made fresh for me and brought to my table. I liked the crusty bread; it stood up well to the sandwich. The meats and cheese were sliced thinly and I could taste the different elements. For me, I think I would have preferred some greenery other than the shredded cabbage; the texture just wasn't my favorite. The pepper on top was also a little heavy and aromatic for my preferences. Nothing worth sending it back over, just a few small details. Overall, I appreciate the effort to create a sandwich shop like this one. I would return to try another sandwich in the future.

1 out of 5 -- Extremely Disappointed…read more We used to really enjoy Spinelli's in Tullahoma, TN. The first time we visited about four years ago, it was excellent. Then we came two years ago and it was "okay," and my husband felt it was already going downhill, but I brushed it off as an ordering issue and decided to try it again this evening. Unfortunately, after our most recent visit, I can confidently say something has changed -- and not for the better. We ordered two large pizzas, and both were honestly terrible. I've had better gas-station pizza. The sauce tasted like straight tomato paste with nothing added, no seasoning, no flavor. The amount of oil on the pizza made it almost slimy. Our pepperoni pizza had very few pepperonis and somehow still managed to taste bland. That sealed it for us but then what prompted me to make a post was this... My kids went to the bathroom and found poop on the edge of the toilet. It wasn't very populated so it's not likely that it had happened recently. The back door where the employees enter and exit had shattered glass and looked unsafe. Even the sign handing inside had a dozen bulbs burned out. None of these things on their own would be a huge deal, but together they paint a clear picture: a place that once had promise now feels neglected, run-down, and like the original vision has been abandoned. We won't be returning. This was truly disappointing, especially given how good it was the first visit. I'm stopping by Papa John's on my way home.

Locally-owned, the staff is approachable, friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly to me, the food is made with care and love. The kitchen is open and you can see food being made if you stand at the counter. I always order pizza or calzones, and I've had all of them except veggie (I like meat with my veggies aka a well-rounded diet!). Keep it up the great work!

I arrived for a fairly late meal (~1:45) so it wasn't super crowded. The parking lot is easy to access. There were a few people eating inside and several carryout orders that occurred during my visit. The inside is adorably decorated in your usual southern bbq joint style -- fun pig memorabilia and whatnot. They have a pretty large selection of bbq and an even larger selection of desserts. In retrospect, I definitely regret not getting a slice of cake or pie to go! I am usually a pulled pork girl, but it is pretty unusual to see smoked pulled chicken -- most places only do half or quarter birds -- and I like pulled chicken a lot, so I ventured out and ordered that! I got the smaller sized plate lunch, which comes with a piece of Texas toast and two sides. I went with curly fries and corn on the cob. Overall, the food was good! The pulled chicken was nice and smoky and the perfect serving size. It was a teeny bit dry but that's typical bbq chicken territory and nothing a good dash of creamy, peppery white bbq sauce couldn't fix. Good sauce! My corn on the cob wasn't super sweet -- probably not quite in season yet -- but it was cooked nicely and very juicy. The fries gave strooooong Arby's vibes such that I think they might actually *be* Arby's fries lol, but there's nothing wrong with that. Especially when they were cooked so fresh and came out hot and crispy! The toast was a lovely buttery companion and my sweet tea was on point. The service here though...THAT gets a 5/5, or really a 10/5 if such a thing were possible. I sometimes feel like southern hospitality is a myth or at least an oversimplification of southern social norms, but at this place it's real and sincere. The woman who took my order -- the owner, I later learned, having purchased the restaurant after years as an employee -- treated me and everyone else who walked in the doors with such warmth, kindness, interest, and attentiveness that it made my entire day. Truly everyone was made to feel so welcome. She catered to some older ladies who came in for a birthday, checked in on me in a nonjudgmental but caring way since I was by myself, and greeted regulars with a smile and by their name. She made the place feel like joy! Definitely give this place a go and enjoy the tasty food and wonderful folks. I'd happily return.

The signage is fairly nondescript and I drove past the place looking for it. Had to pull into a neighboring business lot and turn around and go back. It's small on the inside and weirdly dim despite decent-sized windows. Definitely need a computer or a Kindle with backlighting if you were going to read or work here comfortably. It's a somewhat small space that just feels a little awkward, like another reviewer mentioned. It was clean though. Service wasn't effusively friendly and didn't greet me or ask if I had any questions as I perused the menu, but their tone was polite and warm enough when I actually placed my order. I got a smaller sized iced latte with chocolate/mint syrup as I love a good peppermint-type mocha and many places only have them around the winter holidays. I also nabbed a banana chocolate chip muffin because that's one of my favorite muffin flavors. My drink was made very quickly. No one offered to heat up the muffin but I wouldn't have said no if they had, lol. Oh well, not a big deal. The muffin was really good and likely would've been even better with some melty chips. Definite strong, fresh, real banana taste (even some gooey banana-y bites) and lots of big chocolate chips inside tender, soft cake. The drink was...less good. It was giving much less chocolate and mint and much more watery Colgate. Mint is always a risky flavor add-in and unfortunately this fell on the wayyyy too heavy side, such that it was all I could taste, overwhelming not just the chocolate and milk but also the coffee. I didn't drink much of it. If I were to return, I'd definitely re-up on the muffin but try a different flavored syrup, lol.
