Easy to find and decent amount of parking even at lunch time. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered a dozen raw oysters, a dozen of the garlic cooked oysters, the crab shrimp corn chowder, potato salad and the Rockefeller oyster po boy. All of that came to 100 bucks including 2 drinks. For the price, you don't get alot of food due to lack of combos as everything is purchased separately. Nice seating areas but not good for groups of more than 4 people. The po boy wasn't good as it was small and was dry as can be. Potato salad wasn't good at all to much mustard and tasted more like a slaw than potato salad. The soup was the best thing. Two hours after eating here and we were both in the bathroom non stop for the rest of the day and night so we got some kind of food poisoning probably from the oysters they didnt seem very cold like they should be. Most times I pick a couple and then make sure I finish With Ousters on the 1/2 shell. The shrimp crab corn chowder was very delicious and creamy. A serving was enough to try between two people. The shrimp po boy was tasty and not overwhelming like other po boys I've tried. The only thing I wouldn't recommend are the tacos. The tortilla made the experience bland and hid the flavorful shrimp and cabbage topping. Man I wanted to like this place. Ordered the seafood boil with andouille sausage, boiled shrimp, corn and potatoes. The potatoes were parboiled at best. Some of the pieces were still borderline raw. The shrimp was over cooked causing the shells to stick to the soft meat inside. The corn was dry and the kernels lacked most moisture causing the corn to look "wrinkled" and taste likewise. However, the worst part is that they don't use real butter. They use a "liquid butter substitute" made with soybean or canola oil blended with butter flavoring...and it's poured over the entire dish. 3 people cost $137 for LUNCH. For the price, you're better off buying crab legs at Publix and steaming them at home. The crab claws were good as an appetizer but be ready to pay $21 for it. read more

This place charges premium restaurant prices but only offers counter service. And the entrees don't come with anything, you must choose and pay separately for any sides that you might want. After placing an order, they asked if I wanted to take my cold dessert with me, or come back to the counter when I wanted it. That was a self-serve step too far for me and I canceled my order and left. For the prices they are charging, they need to offer table service. read more

My partner ordered the shrimp and grits which we're pretty good but could have used a little more seasoning for our taste. Our other party ordered the shrimp boil but you couldn't tell that it was prepared as a boil. It also lacked seasoning. I ordered the seafood mac and cheese and I was surprised that for an entree it came out on a saucer plate. I ate that in all of 5 minutes. I'd say it was okay overall but the portion size was misleading. I also ordered a small order of Brussel sprouts and smashed potatoes which were also a very miniature portions for the price. Somewhere I read about this place and was intrigued. Was it a fish market, a butcher shop, a restaurant, or all three? Square footage allotment tells you this is a restaurant with a small market for seasonings and swag. The food was good, but there was no fish counter on display and the beef was in a freezer. So here goes. For lunch I had their shrimp, crab and corn chowder. Fresh fish of the day was limited to two options. It seems that the Mardi Gras celebrations interfered with their usual Tuesday/Thursday deliveries. I opted for sauteed grouper. The soup was one of the best I've had. The broth had a nice seafood flavor and there was a good amount of crab and shrimp. It was delicious. While the grouper was good, I usually cook mine on a slightly less well done. Overall, it was very good. Three stars were awarded because of two exceptions that were not met on the market side. Having grown up near the Atlantic Ocean, my expectation is to see all the fish displayed. I like to smell the place for freshness and I like to look into the eyes of the fin fish to partially determine its freshness. There was a small display cart that might have been used for display, but there was nothing in it. Also, I wanted to see a display of the beef but it was stashed in a freezer. The dining area was clean and simple. Storefront windows provided for enough light despite the constant on and off rain. Service was wonderful. Everyone I met checked in with me to see if I were satisfied. The lady who talked to me about the fish market was extremely helpful, explaining when they get their fish, where they get it from and many other details. I live an hour from here, so frequent visits are not likely. read more

I was so impressed that my wife and I had a little road trip so she could experience it. She was as impressed as I was. I can't say we will be regulars as it's over a 2.5 hour drive and to be slightly picky it's a bit pricey for the area. But the food is excellent and worth it. In my opinion, it's definitely a blue jeans kind of place, and that's pretty much what people were wearing. You place your order at the counter, then seat yourself. There were no servers, and you didn't really need them. Our food was served in a plastic bowl, and we ate with plastic forks/spoons. The beverage is serve yourself, and by using a plastic cup. Actually, none of that mattered, because the food itself was worth it all. We had shrimp creole, which was amazing. We also had shrimp and grits, which was the best I've ever eaten! This is our first visit to the new location. Have to say it's very nice inside. Went to the counter and the nice lady said the daily special was the fried shrimp with two sides. I have to say I was a little disappointed with our dining experience. The shrimp were overcooked and the potatoes in the potato salad were undercooked. The baked beans were very good as well as the Brussel sprouts. I also didn't care for the entire meal being served in to-go type packages. We were excited to try this place, as everyone was so friendly and made a big fuss about how fresh everything was, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. Here are a few reasons why: 1. The Po Boy was just so-so. The crab was overcooked. It was sitting on some iceberg lettuce, a bit of mayo and an entirely average bun. For the price, it should've come with a side dish, but it didn't. We had to purchase a side. 2. The side we purchased was brussel sprouts. These are something I love and order often... these were honestly awful. They were hard and it seemed like they had been reheated. They were drizzled with a disgusting mayo topping and simply weren't tasty. They were a far cry from the lusciousness of really well-made brussel sprouts. 3. More on the side that we had to purchase... the brussel sprouts that we ordered were served in one of those little mini plastic cups that you put ketchup or soy sauce in. If we have to pay for a side, we should at least receive a decent sized serving. 4. This is presented as a fine restaurant, but everything is served in plastic. Plastic forks, plastic bowls, plastic everything. This is fine for going to Taco Bell for take out, but not for a place that presents itself as a restaurant of some caliber. Firstly, if we wanted to eat with plastic, like we were picnicking, we would go to a cheaper restaurant, but more importantly, ecologically... this is ridiculous and ignorant. All day long they are throwing away plastic! Shameful. We need to move past this, as a culture. 5. In summary, it's all concept, but no substance. And it's overpriced for what it is. read more
