I gave them a week and without any communication from them, I called them. They told me they were still diagnosing the problem and would let me know. Another week goes by, nothing. Then another, then another. After about a month I went there. My car was sitting in a field with three other cars blocking it in as if I were going to steal it. The owner was rude incredibly rude but explained that it needed a new engine and he couldn't find a used one and that they don't make new ones anymore. One call to the dealership proved that to be a lie. All the guy had to do was tell me that the job was more than he could handle. I told him I would be back the next day so he could get the bill ready and have my car ready to go. The worst part is he had this info for 2 weeks and never bothered to call me. Then when I went to pay for the work he had done, he never said a word to me about a card fee as I handed him credit card. While looking at the receipt he charged nearly $10 for the card fee. Then I had to wait for nearly an hour while he "fixed" the two cars blocking mine to move them. If the cars were broken why were they blocking mine in? I had the police on the phone when they finally brought mine out so I cancelled the request for an officer. These people are so incredibly incompetent, in my opinion, that anyone would be foolish to do business with such a shady, and again in my opinion, crooked business. There are several reputable business in Lewisburg so why anyone would trust Springplace Auto is beyone comprehension.

It would've cost more if they had to use all the parts, but it was less expensive upon inspection because all parts weren't needed. This place of business earned my respect, by telling me the truth and not charging me for things that weren't needed. The following is another great example of there integrity.... Normally, I do not trust dealerships and know their prices are outrageous. Well, I thought I would give one another try, after many years of avoid avoiding them. My Subaru was making some concerning noises, so I took it to a Subaru dealership. No need to mention it here, because I have noted all the details on another Yelp & Google review for that particular dealership. They "assessed" my vehicle, and sent me a nice video explaining what needed to be done. They wanted to charge approximately $3,879 for the services that involved the wheels and brakes. I was basically in shock, when I immediately called Okay Tire & Brake Center to get a quote for the same job. Jason, the owner was unavailable. So, Andrew, who has worked there for years, quoted $1,220 for the same service. I told him that I was going to pick my Subaru up from the Subaru dealership and bring it to them. I supplied Okay Tire & Brake Center with the information the Subaru dealership said I needed to get fixed. Okay Tire & Brake Service phoned me later to say, I didn't need all the service the Subaru dealership had recommended. Wow! Again, such honest people! They fixed my Subaru for a total of $895.58. What a savings! My Subaru runs like new again, thanks to them! They will continue to get my business and be recommended by me to others. The only downfall, is that they don't do ALL services on vehicle vehicles. Otherwise I would be taking my vehicles to them for EVERYTHING.

Due to employee recommendations, I usually always get extra things, filters, wipers, etc. I've always trusted the employees. Today, I had a much different experience. I pulled to the back of the building and was directed by David pointing his finger to the right bay. I was pulling forward as I've always done and he started aggressively beating on my back driver side door. I was startled, confused, and also had a sleeping 2 month old baby in the back. When I rolled down my window he angrily told me that I wasn't allowed to pull myself in. I'm not sure if this is a new policy or an old one being strictly enforced now, as I've always pulled my car in myself. David proceeded to get an attitude with me, maintaining an aggressive demeanor. I angrily told him the same thing above, that I've always pulled myself in. He stated "not here you haven't". Needless to say, the situation escalated. To give all the facts, I did yell back and use profanity. I decided to take my business elsewhere and left. Hands shaking, I called the Shelbyville location and David answered. I asked for the corporate number and he hung up on me. I called back and someone else answered, I didn't get his name, but he was polite. When I asked for the corporate phone number, he asked if this was in reference to the lady that was just there. I told him I was unaware of what he was referring to and that I just needed the phone number to corporate. I answered with that as I was afraid of being hung up on again. The man politely told me that he didn't have a phone number for corporate but gave me the number of his area manager, who I believe he said is named Greg. I called the number and left a voicemail explaining the experience. I hate to leave such an awful review because as I said above, the other guys have always been so great! Losing a customer here and there doesn't hurt, I understand, but I'd hate to know that he's treating other customers this way.
