I like planet fitness because their brand is all about ALL being welcomed to work on their health…read morewithout the intimidating feel that some gyms have. This location is the newer PF location in Lexington, off of New Circle Road (across from Woodhill). The warm and caring staff greet you with a smile as soon as you walk in. Depending on the frequency of your visits, they may also greet you with saying your name, which is a personal feel that I appreciate. I have seen the facilities cleaned numerous times while I am there. There is a plethora of weights, cardio machines, tanning beds, OH MY! There is something for everyone, from the diehard gymgoer to the casual gym user. The atmosphere is welcoming, and they do utilize the lunk alarm if someone drops the weights or is grunting very loud. Of course, there are times when it is busier in the mornings before work and in the evenings after people get off work. There are shower facilities available to work off the success of your workout. My only suggestions would be as follows: 1. Have an area for those who want to do their own workout, off the machines but are not stretching. There is a space to stretch but there is more equipment than there is available space for other exercise. 2. Have a hook away from the shower, closer to the shower curtain, so that belongings do not get wet. Overall, I like this location and enjoy seeing the same people daily, as they are my imaginary accountability partners :-).

The management at this location needs to be investigated immediately. Her name is ABIGAIL BLOSS…read more On June 30, 2026, at approximately 5:30 PM at the 250 Life Ln, Lexington, KY location, a woman who identified herself as the manager got extremely close to my face, yelled at me, cursed at me, and behaved in a way that made me feel as though she was about to physically fight me. This occurred in the middle of the gym in front of other members. She made unprofessional remarks including "ya mama" and "I don't care, I'm still getting paid," along with other disrespectful comments. She was not wearing Planet Fitness clothing, so I am unsure whether she was officially on duty, but she repeatedly stated that she was the manager. This behavior is completely unacceptable for anyone representing Planet Fitness. Regardless of the circumstances, no employee or manager should yell at, curse at, intimidate, or aggressively confront a member. If corporate reviews this incident, they should identify the individual who was acting as manager at that time and investigate using security camera footage and witness statements. I will be filing a formal complaint with Planet Fitness corporate. I hope this incident is taken seriously so that no other member has to experience this kind of treatment. UPDATE (July 1st 2026): I've tried multiple times to contact the home club itself (250 life ln lex ky) and the managers refuse to speak to me on the phone. They've also blocked multiple numbers I've called from. They are not willing to help or inform me on how I can file a formal complaint. They also refused to give me the full name of the general and regional managers. But I do know that their names are Reina and Porsha. I've been told they will contact me today so we shall see. UPDATE (July 2nd 2026): I finally was able to speak with REINA the general manager. I was told corporate already handled it, that IM BANNED from all 3 location, and nothing is going to happen to ABIGAIL BLOSS. She was "on call" but in workout clothes and working out "on call" because apparently they can workout "on call" and still be a manager on their lunch breaks whenever they want. That's what I got out of that conversation. Mind you, I've only been a member at PF for only about a MONTH!! I've never been to PF before in my life, I don't know their policy's, rules or regulations, I am a NEW member. And within a month I'm banned from all 3 locations I can't even imagine how badly they've treated their other members if this is how badly they treat a member who's only been there for ONE MONTH! This is a very unfortunate situation for PF, because it just shows what type of people they are willing to have on their team representing them and their business. Apparently they have looked into it and they are "just done with the situation" and don't want to deal with it anymore. They have to "stick up for their employees" of course, so it doesn't look bad on them and their business. No one from corporate has reached out to me personally, but apparently they have gotten my request and have handled it. I will continue to reach out to corporate and speak to PORSHA the regional manager and whom ever I can get in contact with, because I truly believe that this woman needs to be TERMINATED INDEFINITELY. All that said to say that I would not recommend this gym, or any of the locations, because ABIGAIL BLOSS works at all 3 locations (life ln, Bryan station, and E Lowry ln). And with her being there I would not feel safe as a member. I would not spend my hard earned money on such an establishment that treats their members this way, and doesn't have any consequences for their actions. They are very unprofessional, the gym is either super hot or super cold, the bathrooms are dirty, majority of the complaints and one star reviews from other members still stand to this day, parking is difficult, it is very packed, the front desk worker tried to hit on me, this is more so a hookup place rather than a gym, and obviously their management is BS.

M-F there are 5 daily classes (5:30a, 8:15a, 9:15a, 5:30p, 6:15p) on S-S there is one class (8:00a) Cost of the classes are dirt cheap! $5 per class, $30 for 2x a week and $60 for unlimited access. Ok now that I got all the preliminaries out the way, lets start the real review... its beast mode for 45 minutes! The trainers are realy great! Demarcus tends to meet you where you are while pushing you just a little further. Its hard work, I won't lie, but it is worth it. I am one of those people who hates (I mean really HATES) to exercise. But the people here are encouraging!!! Not only is there a trainer pushing you, but you are pushing each other!!! Ok so since I have been here, we switch it up a little. We tend to have a couple "stations" going, one of the stations is considered the "timer". (i.e. suicides or the tire flip) We rotate stations. I have been buddied up and I have been by myself... it depends... there is always something new everytime I walk in. I have been for about 6 weeks now, and I am adding a second day... I have seen improvement in my stamina, I am goign to keep pushing myself! I need this! Going to the gym doesn't cut it for me, because I will give up easily... here, I know I will get what I need even though I sometimes don't want to! :D

I spoke with the gym owner saying that I was not satisfied and he promised that he would refund me the cost of my membership due to the location move. Instead of holding true to his word, he dodged all of my phone calls and wouldn't give me a straight answer whenever I saw him at the gym. I would not trust him with your money or your fitness. Also, the new location is terrible. The machines are pretty low quality and the place feels hectic and disorganized - as if someone just moved in. It is also a very small location with too much machinery. There can be 2-3 other people in the gym with you and it will feel very crowded due to the setup and having to wait for machines/benches. Lastly, the new location is slightly annoying to get to due to the traffic on the road as well as the lack of a left turn directly out of the parking lot. As a side note, the pictures in this Yelp listing are from the old location and do not do it justice. The new location is much worse.

This isn't the kind of place where they are in your face the whole time. I have been coming here for 5 months as of now and I can tell you I feel a lot stronger and in much better physical condition. They custom tailor the workouts to fit your needs and wants. There are several people here from all different ages and physical conditions. They also help people who are recovering from injuries. They also offer some classes in the evening, though I don't know much about them because I can only work out in the morning. I have never stuck with a personal trainer or even on specific gym for as long as I have here. I like the staff and they make each day different so you don't plateau or get bored. I like this place so much that now my mother in law, sister in law, and even one of her friends and their mother come too.

But you know what, for some reason, I return, at least once each week, for more. The staff - fun, knowledgeable, and relaxed. The space - a nicely converted garage, not too big, not too small. The equipment - modern, well maintained, cleaned regularly. The clientele - other than myself, respectable, varied in age, body-type, agility, and athleticism, with a good gender balance. The workout plan - classes (mornings, evenings, and weekends) of 15-20 pain lovers do an hour of circuit training, muscle confusion centered, varied exercises, with little rest, and with lots of music. Pay as you go, buy a 10 pack (my preference) or pay per month for unlimited. Clients also have the option to pay a premium for one on one training per appointment. Regular doses of this stuff help keep a boy/girl sane, and regular doses of this lead to a well earned visit to one our Yelp favorites for food and drink. It's all part of the grand and tasty cycle of life.
