Dr Blair Grubb , MD.is the best Neuro-cardiologist ever! Don't get me wrong, because I adore…read more"Harry", the pacemaker guy, too! Another wonderful "Dr" in the house, there in Toledo, or U of T; is Beverly K. (& she as a whole lot of letters after her name too!)! These 3 are my favorite people of all time, in my world of Dr's & health Centers!! ...but for all intensive purposes, today I want to focus on the great staff and my favorites at the Cardiology/EPS/Neuro-Cardiology Dept at Univ of Toledo Medical Center! It's a scary thing when you have a metal device in your chest, called a "Cardiac pacemaker"! It keeps me alive, for the most part! Its now doing 60% of the work, for my heart! So I just might not always be excited to be there....and even less excited to wait for the day when they say " its time for surgery! Your pacemaker is getting old and you need a new one!" That's what they said to me this last visit, just a few weeks ago! First, I saw Harry, ad he checked my pacemaker! He was telling e that it's getting old and probably this Summer I'd need a new one! Before he finished talking he was testing my pacemaker out & he warned me that he was going to turn it off just for a second, to show me how it will feel if it ever fails on its own before it's replaced. I turned strangely colored and got ill in a flash! He put it right back on and said I'd need my new one sooner than later! He spoke to Dr Grubb and we spoke with "Beverly" the nurse practitioner/dr.'s assistant, Before we knew it, I was scheduled for a surgery with anesthesia and the whole thing!.....and t's only a month from now! Another nurse came in with lab slips and explained what needed explaining..Dr Grubb himself popped in ad talked to me and geez...what other great Dr would come into the room and actually TALK with me at a level I can understand?! Dr Grubb was wonderful and caring, kind and very patient, without EVER RUSHING me!!! Beverly came back and asked me if I Had any other questions and Harry did too! They were great,as they always are at the UNIV OF TOLEDO CARDIOLOGY DEPT! They always take their time with me and I never mind if I have to wait a little while...because I know when they're with me, they'll also take all the time I'll need!

Ive had a pick line in my neck for a week, as well as my arm. Ive inadvertently pissed off everyone here with little to no effort by demanding answers. They plan to continue to keep me longer of course. Because my potassium and or magnesium levels have been off by point 1. Then they fail to even begin my kumaden blood thinners on time or correctly . What a shit show. Good luck. Also just order take out save yourself the time and hassle.

He was told to take a seat and sit in the lobby. He said ok but I really think I need to get back there I'm not doing well. They told him to wait. They finally brought him back after about 5 minutes as he started getting shivers and sweating profusely. The nurses behavior after that point was unacceptable. She treated him like he was a nuisance and kept rolling her eyes and sighing like he was disputing her day. He was uncomfortable and felt unsafe in her care. When she hooked him up to the monitor he asked if she could hand him his phone because he needed to contact his fiancé and the nurse responded "no you don't need it you can use it later" and again rolled her eyes at him. She ended up leaving the room (and still wouldnt hand him his phone) and he started getting nauseated and dizzy with chest tightness increasing and so he rushed to the door to get help and the same nurse yelled at him - he told her how he was feeling dizzy and having chest tightness and she again rolled her eyes and told him to go back in the room and someone would be there in a minute. Her poor attitude and obvious hatred of her job is problematic. As a nurse, I'm disgusted at her behavior. We are filing a formal complaint.
