If you are unfamiliar with hospital food you may want to reconsider your preconceived notions. These whipped potatoes are very similar to mashed potatoes in that may have originated as a potato and serve delightfully as a no frills substitute, trust me you will wish you had more or something else. The Pot roast is very consistently cooked and brown and serves a a fat free protein that complements the whipped potatoes. With a bit a brown gravy you will have a beautiful rainbow of earth tones for your taste buds. To continue with our brown theme and also saving the best for last, I suggest dipping a chocolate chip cookie into the what has now become soft serve ice cream, it will soften up the cookie and create something like an MRE ice cream sandwich. "sprawling" single story facility off 424 on the east side of town; casual entrances south and east…read moreplus emergency around to the west. hospital staff are pleasant and professional, did a quick time and temp thing for plague before I could enter and use the facility so that's a plus... then did a courtesy room check to make sure I wasn't going to disturb anyone with a phone call. got the all clear and was informed dinner would be served shortly so I went around to the window to chat with my uncle and see how he was doing. room seems comfortable and well appointed with plenty of room for visitors if they were allowed but they ain't. a nurse (aid?) helped him get around to the window seat and left us to visit for a while. my uncle was recovering from his hip thing pretty well, he was in good spirits but a little tired so I got on my way after chatting for a short hour - was kinda like a zoom meeting but with a bigger screen and the video is less choppy. gotta do what you gotta do. It's plague season everywhere so currently each patient is allowed ONE specified in-room visitor as a reasonable compromise between the extremes of hysterical over-reaction and the potential for infectious under-reaction.

The NP gave me the choice of what tests I wanted to have done after completing my initial request, which came back negative. The time was much faster than my experience at inpatient emergency rooms. I will use this urgent care again if needed. It served its purpose.

We sat in the waiting room for about 30 minutes. The place was packed on a Sunday night. Into the exam room, they worked in cleaning the blood off the face and hair. Determined that it would require stiches over staples. Another 40 minutes waiting in the exam room. Stiches completed and released with a print out of follow up and when to return to remove the stiches. It was a long wait, but better than going to a ER at a hospital.

Medical College of Ohio Hospital in Toledo has really changed in the past several years. I was…read morethere last week for a family member's surgery and I could not get over how state of the art the whole campus has become. The surgery waiting rooms on the second and third floors were comfortable, clean and friendly. The atmosphere in the rooms was pleasant and relaxed though the majority of people in the rooms were there for sickness and medical procedures. A thank you also to the employees there since dealing with people at their sad times has to be hard and these employees were great! A side note from the long day was stopping in the cafeteria on the first floor. This cafeteria was beyond clean and the food was one of the most gourmet type food areas in any of the local hospitals I've recently been in. I actually could imagine going out of my way to stop in there for a meal. I had an omelet made the way I wanted, plus the yummiest perfectly cooked bacon. Another treat were menu items from Tiger Bakery which is one of the best Mediterranean type bakeries in Toledo. Another perk, Medical College offer's valet parking though the parking areas are very convenient and easily accessible.
