He was acting nice to me at the initial consultation but after getting the money and when things didn't turn out right, he did a 180 on me. Like some other ladies, my eyelids were decent before surgery, I just wanted some enhancements. Well, Kun Kim botched them so bad, my upper waterlines are now exposed to the air and cause severe dry eyes, which I have to use prescription eye drops chronically. I'm afraid to face people because of my deformed upper eyelids. I can only get out of the house after spending copious amounts of time tightlining my upper waterlines (which makes the dry eyes worse, and all that chemical couldn't be too good for my eyes when they constantly touching them) and fake thick-framed glasses to help hide the very surgical-looking eyelids. When I politely expressed my concerns at follow up appointments, he laughed in my face and tried to gaslight me into thinking that he did an excellent job and that my eyelids were completely fine. He then went into the next room and loudly told his next patient about me and they both laughed as though my disfigurement was the most funny thing they've ever heard! Total unprofessionalism that a caring and ethical doctor would never imagine doing! By the way, during my surgery, he and his assistants were talking trash about a patient who just stopped by to complain about her recent surgery done by him. Kun Kim kept mocking me and blatantly told me to learn to like my new looks. I feel like a sucker for being swindled thousands of dollars to suffer and look horrendous for the rest of my life. This crook needs to shutter his butcher shop and stop ruining more people's lives!

The reason for the three stars is because although he did a competent job, he was too conservative on the amount of skin he removed from my eyelids and left them still looking saggy. It was definitely an improvement, but was not the phenomenal result that I was hoping for. At 50, with good skin, I think that the result I was hoping for was achievable. After two years, it already looks like I need to have them done again. My neck was also an improvement, but not nearly as taut as it should've been all things considered. One side was left more flabby than the other side. I understand these things can happen during surgery and nothing is guaranteed. However, I do feel that a different surgeon could've given me a better result. So while I would not recommend him to family or friends, I would also not discourage people from using him because I have seen other results that are better than mine.

I had to watch as she threw up multiple times in the basement of his building right after the surgery for the amount of blood that went into her stomach during the surgery. His office coordinator (who also had a botched rhinoplasty) was extremely rude to us afterwards when we questioned the results, but "wouldn't let him fix it." After a negative review years ago, he had an attorney reach out with a cease and desist and threatened to sue us. I'm sure others remove their reviews (as I did) as a result. Being older and richer, sue away if you want. People need to know our experience.

Disappointed with My Surgical Outcome and Lack of Accountability…read more My experience with Mia Aesthetics has been extremely disappointing. I trusted them with my breast augmentation and lift, but I believe I was given the wrong type of lift for my anatomy, resulting in an outcome that did not meet reasonable expectations. At my 3-month post-operative appointment, I expressed my concerns about the appearance of my breasts. Instead of discussing corrective options, I was simply told that my skin "doesn't hold good laxity" and that there was nothing else they could do. It was incredibly discouraging to feel dismissed after investing so much financially and emotionally into this surgery. Over the following months, I repeatedly sent emails asking for help and requesting that my concerns be addressed. Those emails went unanswered for an extended period. Ironically, I finally received a response asking me to come back in for an evaluation--but that email came just one week before I was already scheduled to undergo a complete revision surgery at another clinic, a procedure I had to pay for entirely out of pocket. That surgeon had no affiliation with Mia Aesthetics. The lack of timely communication and willingness to address my concerns left me feeling like I had no choice but to seek help elsewhere. I understand that no surgery can guarantee perfect results, but patients deserve to have their concerns taken seriously, receive honest discussions about corrective options, and not be left waiting months for a response. I hope my experience encourages the practice to improve both its post-operative care and communication with patients.
