The reason for the three stars is because although he did a competent job, he was too conservative on the amount of skin he removed from my eyelids and left them still looking saggy. It was definitely an improvement, but was not the phenomenal result that I was hoping for. At 50, with good skin, I think that the result I was hoping for was achievable. After two years, it already looks like I need to have them done again. My neck was also an improvement, but not nearly as taut as it should've been all things considered. One side was left more flabby than the other side. I understand these things can happen during surgery and nothing is guaranteed. However, I do feel that a different surgeon could've given me a better result. So while I would not recommend him to family or friends, I would also not discourage people from using him because I have seen other results that are better than mine.

I had to watch as she threw up multiple times in the basement of his building right after the surgery for the amount of blood that went into her stomach during the surgery. His office coordinator (who also had a botched rhinoplasty) was extremely rude to us afterwards when we questioned the results, but "wouldn't let him fix it." After a negative review years ago, he had an attorney reach out with a cease and desist and threatened to sue us. I'm sure others remove their reviews (as I did) as a result. Being older and richer, sue away if you want. People need to know our experience.

I had liposuction at Mia Aesthetics last year. The experience during recovery was extremely…read moredistressing and led to serious medical complications. In recovery, I was in severe pain and repeatedly said something felt wrong. I felt dismissed and was told I was having a panic attack. I was yelled at to calm down and told my heart rate was "soaring" because of it. I also experienced significant arm pain, which was attributed to surgical positioning. I felt the communication was harsh and unprofessional during a moment when I was in obvious distress. During this time, anesthesia provider Habiba Dixon asked me whether I had watched a YouTube video about liposuction before deciding to have surgery. She repeatedly told me I was having a panic attack, yelled at me to calm down, and at one point said, "People can hear you way down the hall!" I was also told that if I did not calm down, I could end up being admitted to the hospital because my heart rate was so elevated. I told her I had not been diagnosed with anxiety. I also observed staff walking by, looking, laughing, and whispering while I was crying and in pain, which made me feel humiliated and ignored. Hours after surgery, EMS was called. I was taken to Northside Hospital with tachycardia, hospitalized for 5 days, and required 3 units of blood. While hospitalized, Dr. Fasusi told me my injuries were "Faja burns" from tight bandaging and said, "They wrapped you up like a Christmas ham." However, when I later went to the Grady Burn Center in April 2025, I was told by both a nurse and physician that the injuries were burns from the procedure itself, not from my garment. I cannot determine exactly what caused my complications, but I was left with serious unanswered questions about my care and why my symptoms were initially attributed to anxiety or expected pain despite requiring emergency transport, hospitalization, and transfusions. Since this experience, I have dealt with ongoing emotional effects including anxiety, flashbacks, sleep issues, and fear related to my heart rate and medical settings. I understand liposuction carries risks, but my concern is how my condition was handled, the delay in escalation of care, and the conflicting explanations I received afterward. I left the facility by ambulance, required a 5-day hospitalization and blood transfusions, and felt frightened and unheard throughout the process. I am sharing this so others can make informed decisions before undergoing elective surgery.
