There's plenty of equipment to go around, and even during peak hours you rarely have to wait more than a couple of minutes to use a machine, bench, or squat rack. The gym is also exceptionally clean; it's clear the owners take pride in the space, because you'll barely find a speck of dirt or even a smudge on the mirrors. The owners, Norm and Joanna, are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They're also very knowledgeable trainers who offer personalized training sessions tailored to your individual goals. What Titan Gym may lack in size, it more than makes up for with its sense of community. The members are incredibly welcoming and diverse--ranging from college students and young professionals to parents and older adults staying active in their later years. It's a place that supports both casual gym-goers and serious lifters alike (including a member who recently placed first in a state powerlifting competition). You also won't find the stereotypical "gym bro" atmosphere here--people are respectful of each other's space, time, and noise levels. The people here also organize activities outside the gym as well, ranging from Spartan races and marathons to casual hikes, beer festivals, concerts, and even weekend gaming. At the time of writing this review, Titan Gym is located in Alamo Ranch, though they plan to move to a much larger facility later this year (close to the Santikos Theatre). That will be a great step forward, as the current space can feel a little cramped in certain areas. Still, even in its current form, Titan Gym manages to create an environment that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable to be part of. I'm personally a Texas transplant, and finding this gym went a long way to making this place a new home.

I live very far and was told by an employee that she wrote my name down so when I am ready to cancel with them, I can just call their manager Tito , and he would do it for me. Well I called within 12 days to ensure it was cancelled , then Tito kept blowing me off saying he was too busy with meetings but will cancel it . waiting till the 14th day still not canceled. my banked charged me and once I FINALLY got Tito on the phone to cancel , he said he can't do anything about the fee . I told him I shouldnt have been charged as thats why I called before then but he kept blowing me off till the day I get charged.... THE HECK!! Now they said there's nothing they can do about it and told me what their employee said was a lie and they coached her. But for me? Nothing they would do for me. so now I am negative on my bank account along with paying a fee from my bank for a charge that never should've been taken from me. So pathetic .

So this is one of your smaller more 24/7 local gyms. Meant to come in work out and be a minute or two from home. I try to walk the 3 miles too and from my house in the alamo ranch area. You get a little rfid tag to get in, I wish they had an app so all I would have to bring would be my phone. But I'm just being picky. Just don't step outside, forget your card inside, and get locked out! Did that one night, had to wait an hour till someone else showed up so I could get my car keys doh! I think the only negative I have for this place is the small changing room/Bathroom. There is a shower and a stall for the toilet. With a small bench to change on. The door is right next to the bench so your either changing in the shower or in the toilet stall. Which isn't bad, just wish there were lockers to lock my stuff up in. They do have cubby boxes up front so that you feel like your in kindergarten again. They are right up front so at least you get the better set of mind that the person at the door will be watching over your stuff.

His coaches are very professional, hard working, knowledgable, and are machines. Celeste is one of the coaches there and first off, she is in a constant beast mode. This chic puts the dudes to shame! The other coaches are great too (Curtis, Jesse, Alex, I'm sure I am missing a few). The athletes that crush WOD's at CFL are motivating, friendly, and welcoming. Every time I am in San Antonio, I visit every day I can. They also have a smoothie bar, you can purchase supplements, and apparel there too. So you're probably thinking why I only gave it four out of five stars. Well, when I attend a CF box, I expect filacio and to be doing lines of blow off of strippers asses. Being a garage gym guy I needed to see how I would fare in the daily competitive environment that boxes offer (you just can't get that working out alone or with one friend most of the time). While I have nothing negative to say about any of the gyms I dropped into, I do have much to rave about when it comes to CFL. Facility and equipment: Pretty straightforward here. They have all the equipment you need for a CrossFit gym. They have it and they have a lot of it. You won't be sharing bars or looking for space on a wall, blah, blah.. The facility itself is quite large and this is important when it comes to safety with large groups and the intense nature of CF workouts. Let me add that I've witnessed regular cleaning and maintenance of this facility and equipment. Oh, and there are 4 restroom/showers, a kids room, a separate kitchen area, and an entirely separate room where I would hide when I just wanted to do my own thing and avoid the hard work (thank you Jason). Parking is plentiful. Programming: Never had a bad thing to say about the programming. I am a Physical Therapist (selfless plug) and although I do not adhere to smart practices all the time, I can confidently say that programming here is competent enough that risk from overuse, or consecutive days of doing the same thing, just wasn't present. There was always a dynamic warm up that was relevant to the metcon and just enough strength and skill work to keep you maintained (if you want to be better then you def have to do more but most gyms will tell you that anyway). There is a ton more that I can add however I'm halfway through writing a novel now and I have a few more items to touch on. Coaches: Loved 'em all. Responsible and approachable. I'd say I made some of my best friends at this gym (not biased at all). If you've been part of a box before, you know there is always turnover in this area but I would argue that this is a good thing. New opinions and new flavors help growth. Owners: Jason is a motivator. You'll hate him, you'll love him, whatever. He won't let you quit without a push. He will help you find a new you. He didn't help me because I avoided him most of the time (I'm lazy, and arrogant). In all seriousness, I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am to have met Jason and his family, so I won't. You'd have to drop in and formulate your own opinions. I look forward to training or pcs'ing to San Antonio again for many reasons. These guys are one of those reasons. I came to this studio during a trip and was greeted and helped by the front desk staff. The workout was awesome, the equipment was clean and the coaches (I took different classes at different times on different days) were phenomenal. I'm very particular about how I spend my time and this is the place to be to improve your health, cardio and strength all at the same time.

And their sports programs rock! If you're looking to start your kid out in a league where they don't trash talk, they develop your child self-respect, skills, and build them into good moral characters for sports. This is the place for your kids. The leagues are not highly competitive. The coaches don't jar at each other like they're trying to win a championship. But they are still competitive. Of course, I am a little biased because I have coached the basketball teams between the ages of five and 10. The thing I love about the nine-year-old and 10-year-old division for basketball is a play at a local church. That's a much bigger gym, if you have homeschool kids like me, they get a good feel for what it's like to play if they were to go to high school. My kids have played flag football there and basketball there and really enjoyed just the camaraderie and getting out and getting some exercise.
