GP, which is 45 mins away from my home, and an hour in traffic from my work, quoted me a flat rate with parts and labor included, which was $20 more than a shop in my neighborhood. The removal and install was fast, and the gentleman was very professional. My bill was actually $20 more than the flat rate quoted. Therefore, I ended up paying $40 more than I would have paid had I gone to a local shop, 1hour 45 mins driving, and a 1/4 tank of gas. Pricey lesson learned. However, I'm grateful that my windshield is fixed before winter. I recommend this location for folks who live in the area. It's clean with a comfortable waiting room. Also, if you're low in cash, make sure you know that "flat rate" doesn't mean the same to everyone. Use the Project tool to receive quotes, etc, but do extra homework and know exactly how much a service will cost you in exact pricing, considering your travel (gas) expenses, and time when comparing.

I got an estimate from them literally three days before having my baby, for a paint job needed for my Honda Accord - it was sitting in the driveaway and the next day, I saw there was a golf ball-size glob of paint missing and it was rusting, which was odd. I was finally able to get back to them about a week ago to start the job. I was quoted about $1200 initially, and decided not to use insurance (my insurance agent said not to, for anything under $2K, because our premium could go up). A day or two after dropping off the car, I got an automated text from Gerber saying my car would be ready on ~September 18th~ ... it had been promised for Thursday, September 11th, or thereabouts. I immediately called them, and they said that the system automatically inputs a date, and usually they beat that by a week, which would be fine. Another issue is when they started sanding, etc., and was dusting/spraying things off, another line of paint came off my car. They called me about it and asked how I wanted to proceed: either we could continue the paint job, but it would not be under warranty (usually all their work is warrantied) OR they could try to procure a new Honda hood for me, which would add +$1000 to my $1200 estimate. My husband and I decided to go forward with the original plan, although it was now about $280 more, with a final price of about $1480. I picked up my car on September 11th, as promised, and the work looked pretty good. There was one tiny blemish that I asked about, and the Gerber technician said I could bring the car back in 30 days to get that repaired. I'm going to wait about 30 days to post this review, in case anything changes, but as for right now, I recommend Gerber, but do not HIGHLY recommend them. I would maybe take my car back, since they are the closest auto shop to me, but I do wish the communication on when the actual pickup date would be was a bit better.
