But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. The final result is exceptional, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend ATOZ to anyone.

We had a budget, and he helped us keep to it, but he really went above and beyond that. Other vendors told us there was no way to keep the 130 year window moldings, but Turab not only helped us keep them, but had so many neat tricks to improve our restoration project. Other vendors just gave us offers against our project scope, but Turab explained to us the dynamics of different windows in different parts of the house and what types worked best and saved us money. He made custom moldings for our cellar windows. He also helped us out to stop a fly tipping incident one day when we were out and not able to deal with it ourselves. And when it was pouring with rain and our basement flooded, he went outside and took a really long and hard look and told us what the problem was. We got it fixed the same weekend and never had issues since.

MY RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE: As you can see in the…read morescreenshots, we sent numerous emails that they left unanswered for months, but once you write a review, they can answer within 2 minutes, which just further confirms they are not credible. Do not hire this company under any circumstances. We hired them to complete millwork in our condo, and the quality of the work was extremely poor. Since then, they have repeatedly promised to come back and fix the issues, but more than a year has passed and nothing has been properly resolved. We have sent countless emails following up, many of which were ignored. We will be attaching screenshots showing the lack of response and the ongoing attempts to get this addressed. Phone calls are also not answered. When calling from a different number, they pick up, but once they realize who is calling, they hang up. This has been one of the most frustrating contractor experiences we have had. The work was not completed to an acceptable standard, the follow-up has been completely unprofessional, and they have failed to take responsibility for the issues. We have also been told by our contractor that similar problems have happened on other projects involving this company. Stay away. Do not hire them. Attached screenshots of several unsuccessful and unresponded emails to schedule the repairs.

He even sent us a few pictures of similar work he had done. We sent him the deposit and was all set. Rained pretty heavily on Friday and he reached out and said he thinks it would be best to reschedule for Saturday at 9am due to needing to possibly saw some pieces outside. Liked that he took the initiative to reschedule instead of taking a chance. Showed up perfectly on time on Saturday, all supplies ready to go. Told us he thought the work would take 2-3 hours- he was done in about an hour! Did a great job and you can't even tell the difference between the existing door frame and the new piece. Left everything in great condition and requested a broom so he sweep up. We also have a kitchen cabinet that cracked- and wanted to show him. He explained how we could easily and cheaply just fix it ourselves. So cool. Really nice guy who does great work- we will keep him in mind for future needs and highly recommend him!

John was responsive, friendly and communicative and came to the house within a day to provide me with an estimate that I felt was very fair. He was transparent, describing in detail what areas of my property he thought would be more of a challenge to clean thoroughly, but was confident the house would be much cleaner when he was done...and he was right. On the day of the job, John arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and was accommodating with our alternate side / street parking situation (this being Sunnyside). He and his assistant worked quickly and the results were stunning. In particular, our driveway, sidewalks and front steps are cleaner than we've ever seen them. John is fair and honest and a nice guy and really great at what he does. Don't hesitate to use him if you need power washing done.

In our case, we had an upcoming condo showing and were hoping to have the windows cleaned within 2 weeks. If John is reading this, we'd love to find out why he never showed. We were quite bummed about it but are now looking for other window washing services in our area.
