The first weekend of October Gorman and Carbone owners came to my home with a dozen + workers, a 40-foot trash container and another flatbed of supplies. The offloading was executed flawlessly. Unfortunately, my house was original cedar shake and shingles on top of that, so it was a big job down to the studs. The crew was organized, fast but meticulous. It meant a lot to us the owners came all 3 days. On the last day, the crew not only cleaned up my yard better than it looked before but the neighboring yards as well. Awesome I knew of Gorman and Carbone 26 years ago when renovating my newly purchased house. I was pinching pennies at that time so I hired someone else. Fast forward... it's time to do it again, and the name " Gorman and Carbone" is still out there & operated by the same two guys! You can't say that very often today! The process of color selection was lengthy and Bill provided many addresses of compled work for our view. He also provided several full shingles in each of the colors we were considering. Bill from Gorman & Carbone replaced my parent's roof about 4 years ago. The house is currently being sold and the buyers requested a note from a licensed contractor stating the condition of the roof. I highly recommend using Gorman & Carbone for all your roofing needs. They did a complete roof rip off and replacement in about 5 hours. They came in with a team of 12 plus guys and knocked it out. Bill Gorman, the owner, was on site the entire time and he answered all my questions and concerns I had. The team came to my house on-time, they were very professional and cleaned up after they were done. You couldn't tell that my entire original roof was on my front lawn, in pieces, at one point. Roof pricing was fair and reasonable. Gorman uses GAF roofing materials and provides a 25 year warranty on labor and 50 years on materials. If you need a new roof, go with Gorman & Carbone. George is a great man who is very honest and reliable. I work for a Multifamily in Staten Island with 60 units. Watching their crew work was nothing short of amazing. The team work and safety this men show is almost unseen in this "fly by night" contractor time in history. I was totally pleased with the response from Bill and George when I requested a quote. They had a representative come to the house (while we were away) and leave the estimate in our mailbox. When it came time to decide on the color of the roof Bill and George were kind enough to place three samples on our garage roof to help us make up our minds.
