They were professional, neat, polite, responsive to my questions, and most importantly, they really knew their stuff! We ran into a couple of issues, nothing major, but the crew had to make a couple of adjustments from the original plan. They conferred with Rocco and I spoke with him as well. I reached out to Jenna at the beginning of this summer because I needed to have the countertop and wood side panels removed temporarily in order to have floors replaced. She said that they were busy and it would be about a week to two weeks before they could get to me. That was fine. I also asked for a quote. I called back a week later, and was told that everyone was on vacation, but they would get to me by the end of the summer. I also asked for a written quote for my records. I was told, by Jenna, that was not a problem and she would email me the quote. I received nothing. Over the next few weeks, I called and left several messages, none of which were returned. When I finally got Jenna on the phone, she said that there were 5 jobs ahead of me and she doesn't know when they will be able to fit me in. I asked to speak to her manager. She told me he was not in yet, but would give him the message and have him call me. I never received a phone call...or the written quote. If this is how the people at BKM do business, especially with repeat customers, it is DISGRACEFUL. I felt like I was being strung along, and that they never had any intention of putting my job on the schedule. SHAME ON EVERYONE AT BKM! If I could give zero stars as a rating, I would. I showed them pictures of exactly what I was looking for. They told me they could not get it. As I tried to get information from the two men working there (possibly the owners), they proceeded to speak to each other in a language I do not understand even though they spoke perfect English a few minutes earlier. EXTREMELY RUDE! Later in the day, my son-in-law stopped there looking for the same wood and they told him they were able to order it. Based on their rude treatment, we purchased the wood we need from Verrazano Flooring - a much better experience. I highly recommend Verrazano Flooring if you want to be treated respectfully and get the product you need at a very fair price.

I've bought from its adjacent and possibly affiliated Qin/Jin Lumber (recently renamed to something…read morelike One Corp Lumber), but this tile store holds its own court in the very specialized tile, ceramics, kitchen and bathroom supplies. We came namely to get tile for a quick repair but we've on and off noted and wanted then forgotten this place during 4 major rounds of tile-buying for our current home's ongoing progress. Finally, at last, we came and it's as good as it looks outside with immediate attentive service from the admittedly not-busy shopkeeper and tile specialist who knew what is in and out of stock which is crucial given the ongoing major supply chain problems which styme the atypically easy possibilities. We easily found tile we liked from its prominent and easy-to-peruse tile display stand and ascertained it was in stock so after easy negotiating (still a thing here), calculating, and payment, we got the car ready which thankfully is easier as this part of the block on New Utretcht Ave has some spots and loaded easily. I look forward to returning for the next round of tile as we have a stairs project which will benefit from their nice selection, very fair prices, and expert knowledge.
