We had tried coming here before and it was completely packed, so getting a last-minute table this time felt lucky. We chose to sit outdoors, and the patio was beautiful and made the whole dinner feel extra relaxing. We started with the Caprese con Mozzarella, fresh and simple. For my main, I ordered the fish of the day, which was salmon served with couscous, and it was soooo good! What I especially loved was that the salmon was very well cooked with a slightly charred, crispy outside. So many restaurants serve salmon halfway cooked or too soft in the center, which I personally don't prefer, so this was perfect for me. The couscous paired beautifully with it too. My husband ordered the special of the day, gnocchi with smoked salmon in a creamy sauce, and he loved it too. My daughter ordered pasta with a side of chicken. Service overall was okay, but unfortunately the chicken didn't arrive until we had basically finished dinner, which was disappointing since it was meant to come with her pasta. I also tried the cappuccino, and that was probably the weakest part of the meal. From an Italian restaurant, I was expecting a really good cup of coffee, but this one just didn't hit the mark for me. Enjoyable dinner experience near the Kirkland marina park! Our favorites were the flavorful penna alla vodka, and we appreciated them making a dinner entree with their vongole appetizer. Even the table bread was a winner, fresh and hot. The baked gnocchi was a miss though, the sauce was not flavorful, it didn't have any basil, and the very thick cheese was like eating school pizza. There are tons of other things on the menu I'd like to try so I'll definitely be back, but perhaps I will read prior reviews more carefully to find the better ones. Service was decent and friendly, and the restaurant next door had an excellent guitar and cello duo playing live music to set the mood. Sitting outside was comfortable with the umbrellas. Came here for Seattle Restaurant Week and this ended up being really, really good. The calamari was ridiculous good way. Super tender (without losing texture), especially the tentacles, and the olives were so soft they almost just melt in your mouth. The sauce was so good we basically wiped the plate clean with bread without even thinking. The porcini risotto was fascinating. First bite had me wondering if it was a little to salty, and then it just... opened up. Turned into this really nice earthy, savory, slightly sweet thing. Kept getting better the more I ate. The seafood pasta carried that same sense of layering. It's not just "seafood flavor," but a combination of natural sweetness, umami, and brightness that made each bite feel complete. Our waitress Jennifer was super friendly and made the whole experience really easy and comfortable. We chatted with the owner, Michele, who mentioned he ran restaurants in Italy for 23 years, which honestly explains a lot. He suggested swapping our Aperol Spritz for a Campari version so it wouldn't be too sweet, and he was absolutely right. It paired beautifully with the food and kept everything feeling clean and balanced. Honestly, we're a bit spoiled when it comes to cocktails (we spend way too much time at Kro Bar), but even then we both felt their drinks had real thought and intention behind them. I tried the carbonara at Prosecco and really enjoyed it! The gnocchi was extremely cheesy and rich, though I think it could have used a little more shredded basil on top to balance the flavors. We were a group of 6 with a 6:30 reservation. By 7:30 no one had come to take our order. Finally we got a bottle of white wine which was poured without giving a taste first, until I asked. Around 8:30 our second bottle of wine arrived with some bread which we finished and was not refilled. Our orders were finally taken (we skipped appetizers at that point). Food arrived 8:30, two hours after we arrived. Food was okay but one of us had an issue with huge globs of mozzarella. Rather than ask how they could make it better for her, they argued about the cheese. Grated Parmesan was not offered with the pastas. We had to ask and got a tiny bowl. When we finished, and by now the restaurant was practically empty, the waiter said he had something for us and brought a tiny square of tiramisu with six forks for 6 women, enough for a small bite for each of us. We had such a wonderful evening at Prosecco! Everything about the experience was spot on--the food, the ambiance, the service, and of course, the wine. The patio is charming and perfectly located just steps from the Kirkland waterfront, making it a great spot for a summer night out. The owner welcomed us, shared about his time living in Italy, and even treated us to a little mini wine tasting to help us pick a bottle we'd love (and we did!). The food was delicious and made with authentic ingredients--he even imports the dough directly from Italy. We got to sample it on its own, and even those who are usually sensitive to gluten did just fine with it. The pizza had great flavor, though personally I prefer a slightly more wood-fired, crisp style rather than one with a softer base. That said, it was still very enjoyable and clearly made with care. Restaurant is clean, and comfortable, with no noise pollution between tables. You'll walk in facing the kitchen line, and we were staring at racks of lamb and pasta before we met anyone! Then in all of a minute, we met the two cooks, the owner, and our service staff, and were off to our seats. Very attentive service. FANTASTIC Manhattan. Everyone had a bite and it got top dish. Penne Norcina - Penne and ground Italian sausage, in a creamy black truffle sauce. Sounds like a heavy dish of competing flavors, but it was fantastic. Lobster Ravioli - as it sounds, but the pink sauce was not overwhelming, and the burrata on top was so good! Penne Vodka with Prawns - unfortunately, despite no mention of spice at all, this was loaded with pepper flakes! They offered to remake it, but we declined. Just know to declare your spice tolerance on the red sauce dishes, in case! Fantastic flavor, though. Ceasar Salad - we ordered one, and all four of us had a nice little helping. It saddens me to give a three of five stars for this new Kirkland restaurant due to its lack of service. We were so excited when we saw that in Italian restaurant was opening in downtown Kirkland. We had high hopes for a new go to spot. We came at 4 PM right when they opened on a weekday there was a gentleman who seemed to be a manager who is very kind and it felt like coaching the server. The server was aloof. A few examples of this are when we were seated we had to ask for water, we had to ask for water refills (multiple times), she shared the soup of the day was minestrone, which we ordered and was not available so she had to come back and suggest tomato. We were not extremely hungry. We just had time to try this new restaurant we've been dying to try so we went with a Emilio pizza, which is prosciutto and arugula to share. I am very pleased with the quality of the pizza. The wine list was subpar for the caliber of restaurant this could be. We will give the restaurant another chance, but are not eager to be going back anytime soon. I'm hoping that the lack of service is just growing pains with a new restaurant. read more

This is definitely a review about the service. I live in the area and I frequent places right next to this restaurant and I want to order from it more but my last couple of experiences have been tainted a bit because when I visited there a few months ago, there was a young woman working there who has long dark hair and is on the thinner side. My friend and myself walked in and asked her for a table at the host stand. She asked if we had a reservation and I said no, and she immediately acted strangely and almost in a defensive way, and gave some strange glaring kind of look. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the moment and just had a couple of tables. I was very surprised of her reaction. We were kind of confused by this, and then we were seated and had dinner and then had some strange interactions with her in the restaurant during this time. She continued to give glaring looks and acted in an angry and reluctant way if we asked for anything such as a water refill. It's been months since that night, but we haven't forgotten it. Then we decided to give the restaurant another chance recently, and she was working, and we were seated at a table by another person, but she followed us to the table while we were being seated , and she then grabbed the tablecloth from the table next to where we were being seated, and she pulled the it off quickly and effectively whipped me with the tablecloth. She didn't seem to notice as she stormed off. I got the worst feeling about being there after that and we were debating whether to just leave. She was not the one who waited on us, but she proceeded to come back into the area of where we are seated and never smile, or look at us, but do things with the items on the table next to us in a strange way. It almost seems like she was listening to us talk. My friend and I had a horribly weird vibe which I've never experienced before by a service person at a restaurant. We both agreed we'd probably not return there which is unfortunate. We love the location and the food. I would suggest to the owners to reevaluate who has customer facing roles in your restaurant. It's a hospitality/service-oriented business. Treating friendly and paying customers like they're an enemy is not the best approach. read more

A taste of Italy in Kirkland! New restaurant in downtown Kirkland run by two Italian brothers. Food really reminded me of Italy. First of all their bread is freshly baked in house - super soft and flaky. We ordered a bunch of dishes for the table (family style) which I recommend. First their pizzas! Their Biancaneve pizza was so good. Never knew olives would go so well with Italian sausage and mushrooms. Chewy delicious dough. The owner told us the flour, Tomato sauce, prosciutto, cheese were all from Italy where he worked in a pizza shop for many years. We also had the Emiliana which was great. For pasta, we had a variety of dishes but my favorite was the Penne Alla Vodka. Deep rich flavor, el dente penne, nice thinly sliced garlic. So so good. We also had the Linguine Di Mare as well as the Penne Norcina, and Vongole Al Vino with linguine. Everyone in our table had a different favorite dish. Tells you how much we all enjoyed it! Service was impeccable. Both the owners showed up to say hi and served us. Very friendly, very nice, and very engaging. Every request with a yes or we can do. Loved their energy. Ambiance is great. We had family visiting so we called in for a table for 7, and sat comfortably in the back room. Many folks were also outside in the patio enjoying their meal. Very nice feel. Good for family, dates, and even friend hangouts. Parking: is in downtown Kirkland which can be hit or miss. There is a public paid parking lot for businesses right by the restaurant. I got lucky with a spot by the restaurant on a Thursday evening around 7pm. Otherwise you can go to the library (after it is closed) and then walk over. Bathroom was clean meaning the kitchen is clean! Highly recommend. May this place never lose its feel and special energy. Food seriously made me remember some good meals I had in Italy. read more

The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, romantic, relaxed, and elevated by live music and outdoor seating that lets you take in the waterfront vibe. We started with the shrimp and polenta, and it absolutely delivered. It's a generous portion for an appetizer and definitely a must-try. For mains, my wife had the chicken piccata and loved it. I went with the filet mignon, and wow...the peppercorn sauce alone is worth coming back for. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. All in all, a fantastic experience. Everything was fantastic! Amazing service, I can't recall our servers name, but she was great- she was definitely busy as the patio was hopping but she was attentive and made sure we were good. The pizza is wood fired and came with great consistency - just the right amount of crispiness outside and soft inside. We have had many wonderful dinners at Prosecco, both outside and inside. The food and service are always excellent! Last night we finally tried the pizza which did not disappoint. To begin with, each pizza easily fed two...not your normal "personal" pizza.
