History

Established in 1978.

Rob Prince started in the jewelry industry early on and honed his skills as both an artisan and bench jeweler in both the retail and wholesale trade. In 2000 he and partner, Terry Chambers, opened Prospect Jewelers to service the Louisville area with both finished unique and his own custom designs . Terry Chambers provides the administrative and financial support while Marketing Director, Corry Hodges, reaches out to the community to help service both loyal and new customers needed to keep this a successful and appreciated business.

Meet the Business Owner: Rob P.

ROB PRINCE Master Jeweler and Owner A transplant from the Michigan area, Rob has resided in Louisville since 1971. A graduate of Waggener High School in St. Mathews, Rob also attended the University of Louisville before beginning his jeweler career in 1977. Beginning in retail, he later formed Prince Manufacturing and Design in 1983 which provided wholesale jewelry repair and custom design to retail jewelers throughout the Louisville area. He opened Prospect Jewelers, a full service retail store, in 2000 with his partner Ms. Terry Chambers. Rob enjoys sailing and motor boating and in 2006 he earned his license as a US Merchant Marine officer and is a member of Rose Island Yacht Club, the Louisville Sail and Power Squadron and HCBOA. A civic leader in his community, he is the founding President of the Prospect Area Chamber of Commerce and former member of the Prospect KY Mayor's Ordinance Review Committee.
