A down to earth dude that will enthusiastically answer all of your questions and point you in the right direction without a hint of pushiness. Doris (sorry if I got the name wrong), helped take care of the payment and also seemed like a genuinely nice person. Their pricing is the most competitive in the area and they will answer your questions right away without any BS. I've found my new favorite bike shop, and besides fixing bikes they also sell them along with the motorcycle gear and bunch of other things. First of i want to thank Andrew for a great experience, the customer service here is on point from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. I serviced my SV650 and at the same time my friend serviced his Suzuki as well, both bikes were done in a timely fashion. My SV runs like new, Andrew helped me with any questions that i had also gave me great tips on helmets and other newbie start points. After 5 online inquires they finally called. I asked about what dealer fees they charge on top of the price, the response I got was you have to come in the store to discuss them. I really don't know what these people with 4 and 5-star reviews were smoking, but clearly it altered their perception of this shop. I brought my scooter in to get fixed after it got hit by a car when it was parked. I was told it would be done in around 2 weeks and I would be called when they received the new parts and when the service was done. I literally waited for 3 weeks before I heard any word from them and it was me calling them up to see what was going on. When I talk to them, they told me early next week. I just said "ok, let me know" and hung up. "Early next week" came and passed so I called them on week 4 (even giving them a couple extra days). When I talked to them that time, they gave me any sort of excuse as to why it wasn't done yet. Honestly, if they would have given me the expectation of a month to begin with, I wouldn't be as upset about this place. I know it's a small shop but that's not my job to set customer expectations correctly. When I did pick it up, nothing was explained to me as to what they fixed and no mention of the next time I should bring it in to get serviced. Prior to this accident, I brought it in for general maintenance and each time i was told when I should bring it in again. I even tried going to a different maintenance shop to see if i could get my scooter fixed but they pointed me back to this one. That being said, I'm really considering selling my scooter to get a different brand that has more available mechanics in the area. read more

Just bought a brand new Star Bolt here, and I could not be happier with my purchase and experience. Bruce was a personable salesman, and I felt confident throughout the buying experience. As the service department was prepping my bike Mayo, the owner, told me all about my Bolt and what a great machine it was. I had done nearly a year of research on this bobber, and Mayo knew more than I. The shop was a bit busy, but it's good to know that they have a large consumer base. Every time I come here I have a negative experience. ie: flat tire, king cycles is closed, etc... They asked me to make an appointment and 3and a half hours later, no bike. As I write this I'm still waiting. They over charge for everything and the service sucks to hell. I'm now committed to traveling much further for better service and I advise you to do the same. If you have to come here, buy your parts elsewhere and have them install it otherwise pack a lunch cause your in for a long, expensive ride. I do not recommend this place to any cyclist. I came in the other day to make a deal on a motorcycle. I was ready to make a purchase with cash in my bag, but Bruce made me feel very disrespected as a customer. He kept running around the showroom appearing busy and I had to flag him down to get some help. He did not offer for me to sit down and make a deal, he called me unreasonable and did not help for me to get what I needed. I work in healthcare and make people relations my priority. I just felt very disrespected and disappointed for not being presented with much options. Overall, he wanted to make it seem that me dropping $7K in cash was him doing ME a favor. I really like these guys. I've been here a few times now. The first time I brought my bike in because the front wheel was badly out of true. Shawn and crew fixed that and also gave the bike a really good inspection and found a lot of other serious problems that another shop had not found or ignored. I appreciate the care they take to make sure everything is working well. They've also done small jobs for me for reasonable prices (or free!). They're a family business: Shawn's dad and mom both work there from time to time. And although they're more geared towards new bikes, they have a huge basement full of old parts that Shawn's dad has accumulated over the years, which is very handy for people with older bikes. The sales staff can be standoffish at times but that's fine with me. If you're patient you'll be taken care of well. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

We have been shopping for a new bike for my husband's birthday and took an hour ride to go see the stock listed on the website. We had over $3,500 cash on hand. Everything you see in the reviews and website is a lie. We were treated very poorly , the staff was condescending and very inhospitable as soon as the heard we wanted to spend less than 3000. They have multiple listings on the website in the $2500 to $3000 range and the excuse for lack of stock was they are to busy to change their website. To add insult to injury instead of apologizing for wasting our time we were treated as if we were wasting their time. My husband said he was ready to buy and needed or transportation to work this week. Instead of all the help and great service we were basically rushed and pushed out of the store. One of the worst shopping experience I have every been involved with. False advertising, horrible customer service, no attempt to make us feel comfortable in any way, even after wee said we could comeback for a more expensive model. We expected so much from the reviews and website, not only was this the biggest waste of 3 hours of travel, it made us both really angry to be treated like trash because we wanted to buy in cash on the spot and not use credit. I've been to prospect powersports three times so far in the last year. Twice to get my '08 kawasaki zzr inspected and once for a helmet. Their inventory of helmets and accessories is excellent. The 2 times I've had my bike inspected the owners son helped me. He was very courteous and professional. The first inspection resulted in me needing a new rear tire which they had in stock and mounted in no time flat. Second inspection took 6 seconds for the $6 it cost me. Two thumbs up. Just spent about five minutes here. Every one-star review I've read seems perfectly plausible after this brief encounter. I'm giving one "benefit of the doubt" star because I didn't end up buying anything. Doubt I ever will. FYI: No test rides at this shop due to the nature of the location. I don't think this policy is unreasonable, but if you're like me you might assume that a motor vehicle dealership offers test drives. I walked in to find three or four very young men sitting on motorcycles, lazily pretending to ride them. There was no indication which if any of them were employed at the store. I approached and one guy greeted me and asked if I needed help, and after that a couple of the other ones started following us around and chucking in their two cents here and there. Very distracting. All of my direct questions were evaded. I had to repeat myself two or three times to get a reluctant straight answer. It felt to me like these boys have been instructed to sell specific models regardless of what the customer might want or what might be a good fit or value. I don't really blame the kids; they don't appear to have any experience or proper leadership. read more

I went there to get my biked fixed and they gave me one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. First, they didn't charge me to take apart my bike and figure out what it needed. Second, they estimated it at around 1,300 in total (which was already really low compared to other shops). Then lastly, when I went to pick it up Sean knocked a few hundred dollars off of the final price. He didn't have to do that and I could tell that this guy (who is super nice) cares an incredible amount about making his customers happy. I highly recommend this shop to anyone. I went here to have frame sliders installed on my Ducati Monster. They left out the main piece that goes through the engine, so the engine would actually move when stopping or starting. I asked them if they installed the entire kit, and with a straight face the owner lied to me. I also asked them to swap out some handlebars, and these idiots forgot to adjust the brake cables. So everytime I turned left or right, the engine would accelerate. I had to go to a ducati dealer to have them take a look, and they said that the damage done was so severe that they could'nt even let me ride it. I had to order another frame slider kit for $100.00 On top of all the shoddy work they did, they charged me $275.00 to render my brand new bike unrideable. If you go here, you are a fool. Stay away! These people are the worst. Got my bike "repaired" there. They said they fixed "A", "B" and "C" to clear up the problem. When I picked it up, they said "by the way, you also have "D" as an issue and that might be the cause of the problem." Translation - they took my money, fixed nothing, and would say "D" was the problem if I complained. Got the problem fixed elsewhere easily. I found out this place has a bad rep all around Brooklyn. The initial phone call to inquire about their services and prices was informative and I felt comfortable following up the next day. WORST DEALER EVER. RUDE AND INSULTING! I negotiated a price for a bike and said i wanted to sleep on their offer and think it through. i returned the next day showing loyalty (even after they were rude to me and insulting) and was prompted to fill out a loan application to see if i would get approved. i did get approved for a nice sum and a nice apr however they switched the price $300 more then the original price negotiated. I would have still taken the $300 bump in the out the door price but the owner came up to me and belittled me, told me off, insulted me and told me to get out. I never stepped out of line, cursed, raised my voice, or got rude with them. I simply bargained and negotiated. And yet got the bike at a slightly lower cost! They apparently take it personal that you do offer them a lower number then theirs, laugh in your face, make fun of you, tell you your crazy and belittle you. A simple no wouldve done the job fine and got the point across. Another funny experience the day before at prospect was 2 young kids who weighed maybe 100 lbs put together were looking at the r6 and r1. they were standing next to me as i was negotiating with bruce and bringing up some points that he couldnt disagree with. he told me to step outside and said please stop negotiating in the store like that because then they will be under the impression they can negotiate too! i also asked him about tire rot and the tires being bad since theyve been sitting there in the box with the bike for over a year now and he said if you dont like them buy new ones.. WOW! The owner is terrible to deal with, Bruce is a nightmare to talk to, they dont have time for you at all and seem like they want to get you out of there asap and take your money. I was also told by the owner that he himself preffers to pay a higher price for friendlier customer service when he purchases things. HAH! Someone else on here said the salesman Bruce is a douchebag. He lives up to it as well as the owner! Its either their way or "get the hell out" as they put it to me. I went to see Rocco at Kings cycles on Utica Ave in Brooklyn.. They are just minutes away from the toolbags at prospect. Rocco is a golden guy with competitive pricing, a sense of humor, and willing to take the time out to hear you out and talk to you. Worst dealership in new York. Very unprofessional, customer service is the worst. I sold my bike to purchase a new one negotiated a price with the sales man ,returned and he not only told me that I was not getting it for the price but he will call me after he thinks about selling it to me so I brought the same bike at another dealer the next day. Couple months later went to get my bike serviced and was told despite they are a Yamaha dealer that I was not allowed in the store by the owner whom you would of thought first words would have been what could we have done better you brought your first bike here what caused you to go elsewhere despite living 10 blocks from the dealership. Instead of you are not welcomed here . This place is a complete circus so I just kindly mounted my bike and went to over to king cycles. Got in a wreck on Monday took my bike there for an estimate on Tuesday. Every day I called to check the guy kept saying it would be ready the next day Then he promised it by Friday. Sure enough, Friday rolls around and it will be done the next Monday. He just had to look up prices not actually do any work on the bike. Apparently I was not important enough for that. Unless you want a headache and a hassle staying on someone to do their job look else where. I looked up online pricing for my Kawasaki Ninja 2015 ZX10R. Prospect power sports was closest to where I live. I was pleased to speak to one of the sales reps, Desiree was very relaxed and didn't try pressure me into a sale. She was easy to talk with and was flexible with pricing. I received an amazing offer for a new bike, it was thousands below their competition. I could not pass up the deal. Even other dealers told me I that it would be foolish to continue the search. They won my business and my loyalty by providing full disclosure and educating me on all the important information I need. Vlad the accessory "BRO" was very knowledgeable and provided me with information and pricing and set me up with all the necessities. Theft is a constant worry in Gotham, Fred helped me find the right pricing for insurance . My insurance company wanted 16,000 per year. Fred got me 1,400 per year. Loved the experience. Highly recommended for other riders, don't be a douche and they will be more then accommodating. 10/10 with rice :) read more
