A week after my bumper was replaced the paint peeled right off thankfully I caught it the day I picked it up and they fixed it for free happened to look down today at where the bumper was attached and it is zip tied together. This is my second visit to ProStar, for different incidents. This time I had the unfortunate incident of striking a dog on 295, which was fatal to the poor dog, and did significant damage to my bumper.. Prostar was very communicative throughout the process, and repairs were done so well that it looked brand new when they were done! They helped arrange a rental car pickup, and even fixed another small ding that was outside the regular damage, at no cost to me. I needed Body work on My 2017 Honda Accord Sport. I wanted to take it to a reputable certified repair center and the Honda Dealership recommended Prostar. I stopped by and met with James Kumpf who provided an estimate and explained the process to me including the Insurance Steps. He then grabbed a bunch of twist ties and helped secure various parts that were affected in the accident getting under the vehicle without a commitment on my end. That's when I knew I had the right place. Honesty, integrity and willing to go that extra step to help someone out. Once I started a claim and formally selected Prostar, they ordered the parts and let me know when to bring the vehicle in to minimize car rental time on my end. After putting the car on the lift additional work was needed and handled easily through my insurance co. James kept me informed throughout the process the final outcome is outstanding. The Car looks better than ever and my family and I are very pleased with the results and overall experience. Took my car Corolla 2013 for small back bumper issue Guy comes out and points out small scratches which occured over last 7 yrs part of regular wear and tear Told him no major damages to back bumper Also told him it has never been touched since I bought the car as zero meter from dealership However, in my 10-15mind conversation he kept on implying asif was lying to him. He even made up as if the be k bumper was painted on one side.....all this in spite of me telling him repeatedly that I own the car from day one and that it has never been touched at all Overall if the guy is going to question some ones integrity and imply if I am lying then it's a huge issue Also if the guy does not even know if it's original paint and makes up that it has been painted than either he does not know his work or he is fishing to make money My recommendation definitely NO NO NO!!! Good job on getting my front end re-painted due to love bug damage. Best price of my estimates and he was the nicest people. The even told me how to avoid getting love bug damage again. Wipe care with water and peroxide. They had my car a whole week, but had to take the front bumper and hood off so it was understandable. I'd go there again. First, I went to Sterling Auto Body centers per my mobile car washer, that place was terrible. Do not go to Sterling. The woman didn't even believe it needed painting so she had to verify that first (believe me I didn't want to spend $1,200). She finally emailed me the quote the next day and it was hundreds higher than ProStar. read more

I have used this company in the past and I had Avery positive experience but I have to say this time around SUCKS! This was an insurance claim which involved new struts and a new front end/bumper. The tire actually fell off the car so that had to also be replaced. This brings us to the part where everything fell apart. Unbeknownst to me, this repair shop that fixes cars that have been a collision doesn't offer tires as part of their normal repairs. They did replace the one tire that was missing from the car because the insurance company wouldn't pay them for work without it but the wouldn't fix the remaining 3 tires that needed to be replaced. So now I'm stuck taking it to another location to get tires and it also took 3 weeks to be completed! This was not what you'd expect and I will no longer use them because it's been nothing but a hassle. read more

Lack of integrity and don't fall for the "lifetime" warranty on parts, service and paint. Our minivan was repaired in 2010 by Prostar. The cost was $13K in repairs, which included painting at least 55% of our vehicle. The factory paint is going strong in the Florida sun, but the Prostar paint is PEELING everwhere. It has been for years. They "lost" our original paperwork - no record of course. Then, when the insurance provided us a copy, they blamed us (bumper has dings now), the paint company (bad paint) and the parts company (pre-painted parts) for the faulty paint job. They failed to remember they cashed the $13K check...so don't expect quality workmanship or their word to mean anything years from now. BE VERY CAUTIOUS. Unfortunetly I just needed them again after being hit at a dead stop for a school bus stopping and hit by a illegal alien with no licence at fifty miles an hour that was texting at 50 MPH in a 45 mph zone! I am OK by some mirecle...anyway Prostar got my car towed to them (not their towing company;one my insurance company recommended) after arguing for 1/2 hour with the tow company that was trying to take my car to their collison/body shop to get a brown envelope to do so to the point I told them to take my car off their fargon truck while limping around in a suit at 90 degrees after taking a hour to get to me...I'll Yelp these bastards later. Anyway my car was only 3/4 miles away from prostar and after my last experience with them being a FIVE they got my car finally and did a in debth conculusion that my car should being totaled; which it was with much commuication during this decision to my insurance with me. I wish I could give SIX stars; and I would in a second. It is rare in America anymore to get a standard of care in all types of business's, yet these people go far and beyond to do a better than best job naturally. After 57 cars in my life having seven accidents (none were my fault just jackasse's either drunk, or stupid in every one) over 54 years they (PROSTAR) are the best I ever done business with. read more

Nice people, quality control....not so much. Chose Prostar based on the Yelp reviews and recommendation from the local auto dealer. Great experience dropping off the car as they were very good about explaining the process and how the repair will be completed. A week went by and no report on the repair. Called Prostar (FYI, they never answer and let all calls goto voicemail). Waited 24 hours and no response. Called again and left a message. Got a call back 6 hours later where they informed me that the car was about ready and they have been leaving messages for me on my phone. Asked to confirm the number and it was a number that wasn't close to what was listed on the paperwork that I filled out. Picked up the car and looked it over with the agent. The dent was fixed but car had overspray on the all over the body and glass. On several areas, you could see where they taped the rest of the car off and the new paint was significantly higher and the transition was extremely rough. Pointed the areas out and he tried to buff them out with a rag and compound. Said that the overspray was still there. He went and brought the detailer out to inspect the car. The detailer said there was no overspray and the car was fine. After 20 minutes of gently arguing with the agent that the side of the car shouldn't feel like sandpaper, he agreed to have me bring it in another day and they would redo the detail. Brought in the car a few days later and left it for 24 hours so they could go through the car and correct anything that needed to be corrected. Picked up the car again, but it was pouring rain and they said to get it home look at the car and if there are any issues, bring it back. (very nice of them) Got the car home and they fixed about half of the issues. There was still overspray on many areas of the car. Went back to Prostar for the 3rd time. Agent was very nice and offered to look at the car and make it right. He attempted to remove the overspray and implied that it was much better, but said if I wasn't happy to schedule another time and bring it in so they can make it right. The overspray still existed. The agent asked if I bought the car used --- I said nope -- bought the car new. Not sure if he was going to imply the overspray previously existed. Sorry -- I appreciate your kindness but if you can't get it right after 3 attempts, it is time to do something different. Going to follow up with the insurance company now. Although they are nice people, they obviously don't know what to look for when returning a car to a customer. read more

I stopped by for a quote on my rusty/moldy bug guard and the guy was very nice and honest. I didn't tell him I went to another place for a quote prior but let's just say that I know now the other place was trying to rip me off and he saved me a lot of money. I also had to wait about 10 min at the other place and I was seen in no time here after I filled out the visitor form. I just dropped off my Olivia(Jeep Liberty) to be repaired at Prostar Collision Center, and Elton greeted me at the front desk, he was very nice and even understood that I love my Olivia like a child:-), bonus points for that! Plus he took extra time to come out and look at the damage and explain the process of what they would do to fix Olivia in terms that I could understand. This made me feel at ease having to leave her there, so when I got home I started to look at their reviews and all but one were awesome! Then I start reading the one star review, which Prostar had responded to in a kind and prompt manner, but I still picked up the phone and called to speak with Elton anyways, he said he remembered that case and that they know Yelp! Bonus again, and that they had offered to fix that persons problem even though it wasn't due to a problem with the paint, but that the person had gotten into another accident. So I was upset to hear that this person had lied in their review:-(. Elton has been doing his job for over 25 years and this is an Esurance/Allstate approved facility, and once I get Olivia back I will be sure to post after pics as well as before pics. read more

I have had this collision center work on several of our vehicles over the years. They are approved by USAA and they are a very reputable insurance company with military affiliation. I now request this body shop when we have a claim. They have always been so nice there and they have done great work on our cars. They are always quick to get back to me and are very transparent with pictures of the damage. I highly recommend them. BTW, I have never had an issue with bumpers having paint come off as happened to the other person who reviewed. Also, their bathrooms are always available and I have never had anyone there not be 100% nice and professional!!! I'm writing this review on Monday, August 5, 2019. We have been going to Prostar for repairs for four years now. Whether big or small, covered by insurance or on our own dime, they are the best around. We live at the beaches so they aren't 'conveniently' located to us. If you want honest quotes for impecable service, this is where you want to go. They explain everything in detail and are happy to answer all your questions (I always have a lot of them). They'll sent you text or email updates and are happy to answer any questions during the repair process. Recently my husband had "detached" one end of my front bumper. When he asked how much it would cost to repair, Mike went out to look at it, installed a new clip, and returned saying it was fixed - no charge. Result: One lucky husband - out of the doghouse. I brought my brand new SUV in because the dealer installed pin-stripes were already coming off. I explained to James that the dealer was on the hook for the cost of the repair. 15 mins later, James had totally removed my pinstripes and cleaned up the mess. He refused to charge me! They basically had a blank check and they chose not to take advantage of the situation. I was blown away! Why can't every experience in the automotive industry be the pleasant? My dash board got damaged and had a crack in it, so I took it to the dealership and they said I would have to pay $600 that I would have to get my entire dashboard replaced. I took it to prostar for a second opinion and they replaced the tiny part with the crack and it only costed 60 bucks! They are very affordable, service is great, and they do a great job! read more

I took my car here for an estimate to repair a moderately severe dent and paint damage. The customer service was friendly and prompt, but their estimate was $400-$700 above their competitors' estimates for the same job (based on the half-dozen estimates I got from repair shops in the Jacksonville area). Prostar wanted over $1700 for a $1000-$1300 repair job. I had the repair done elsewhere. By all means consider Prostar, but be wary of their pricing. read more

I walked in for an estimate after reading the yelp reviews. The staff was friendly. However, I was surprised by their estimate. I had minor scratches on the front bumper(plastic), pretty small fix, however their estimate was higher than the cost of bumper itself. Infact their estimate was higher than the dealership quotes. I would recommend to get multiple quotes at different locations before walking in there. read more

RUN AWAY ! RUN AWAY ! Received seemingly good service and work in replacement of bumper 9/2011. Then in 6/2012, after very minor superficial damage to bumper, paint began to peel off in large pieces. Took car in, told them the bumper did not look prepped, and they said it was due to damage, but they would only charge for paint( not labor). Although this was nice, they refused to do the entire job for free. Two other body shops, one insurance adjuster, and the paint specialist at the dealer who referred me to them in the first place independently concluded that the bumper was not prepped or prepped properly. Therefore, the paint was peeling off. The dealer contacted the shop and convinced them to repaint the bumper at no charge. In the interim, the bumper was hit in another spot and two small dime sized rips occurred. When I took the car to Prostar to set up a date for repaint, I showed them the new damage and agreed to cover the cost of that repair for a reasonable $80. Repaint was covered and a date was set to bring car in to Prostar. Finally, after several wasted weeks ,the car was dropped off at the shop. Two hours later, I get a call saying the bumper is too damaged to repair, we needed to purchase a replacement, and the paint was no longer covered. I picked the car up ASAP and took it down the street, where the bumper was repaired, repainted, and looks good as new. My cost was $320 as opposed to the $638 Prostar wanted. Bottom line- Prostar did poor work, refused to admit it, only agreed to do the right thing once the dealer got involved, and then tried to pull a fast one and squeeze more $$$ out of a bad situation. I would not send my ex- wife to Prostar Collision Center. read more

I had my truck fixed twice by Prostar . The first time they got over spray all over the side of my truck and left it . I wish I could give this company 6 stars...I went to Prostar based on their location and am so pleased I did! As most are wary of estimates given for body work, I was as well. I had expected to receive a high estimate and then wait to have my body work done, as well as rent a car during the repair time. I explained that the car is old and I didn't want to put a lot of money into the repair, as we are just hanging onto it for my son to practice driving with it. After he heard this, Elton went inside, grabbed a few supplies, and did a minimal repair job on the spot-- for free. I've never heard of any body shop giving this level of service to anyone and will definitely only take my cars here in the future. The fact they did this for someone shows exactly how reputable this company is and that they're not trying to take advantage of their customers.
