I own a commercial carpet shampooer that I use monthly but it needs repair so I found a great Groupon for 3 rooms for under $40. It took 3 attempts to actually schedule the carpet cleaning and he was 3 hours late without a courtesy call. I was at the house without my partner and this guy heard my dog and immediately started up selling pet enzyme products. I had spot treated my carpet to remove lift a few stains from spills and then he said he would have to up charge for the baking soda. I was told several times about stains in my hallway that don't exist because it's the last thing I shampooed a week ago myself. I had to show this man the door. I'm not interested in someone being in my house if they are going to insult my intelligence and display a lack of integrity. I purchased 4 room carpet cleaning service with this company through Groupon. Jason came by to inspect my rooms and said that I needed a deep cleaning. There are only 10-15 small stains. I didn't want a deep cleaning. I advised him if there are any stains after he steam cleans it I'll accept the responsibility as a customer. I paid for a Groupon for 3 rooms at special pricing of $44. Today (November 12, 224) Jason came and immediately started telling me I had pet issues and lots of stains on my white carpet. I explained I have never had any pets and most people are amazed that my white carpet still looks like new. He stated he could smell mildew. We had Jason clean our sofa, rug and chairs. We have pets and kids so they had a lot of dirt built up over years, and we had never had any of them professionally cleaned. Jason told me up front he may not be able to get them clean due to the amount of staining and old wear and tear. However, when he was done, everything did look almost new. Horrible! Firstly, my Groupon was marked as "Redeemed" when I hadn't used it. I called ProSteam and Jason had no explanation but asked me to send my address via text so he could call me back from his office to schedule an appointment. A week later he texted (at 9:44 pm) and we settled on today between 10-12. I told him in my text, "I'll move as much furniture as I can, but I'm getting new flooring within a year so I'm not overly concerned". When he arrived (late) at 12:20 he walked around my living room with his phone flashlight looking grim. I knew where this was heading immediately. I reminded him that I was getting new floors soon and was not interested in any spot treatment or extra services. We headed down the hall to the first of 3 bedrooms and he in formed me that I would need a "pre-treatment" that would cost $220! He had been in my home for 3 minutes and never even entered 2 rooms that were to be cleaned. Again I said that I didn't expect miracles (I have a cat and the carpet has some spots). I said I just want the basic steam cleaning. He informed me that he is a "Trainer" and "Professional", and that his is a "Restoration" business, and that he would not clean my carpets without the added service. I told him I wanted my money back and he said to contact Groupon. At this point I was done! As I was showing him out he offered the service for $199. I had made myself clear in my text prior to his arrival and again in home. No extras! When outside the door he tried one last time for $149. What a jerk!!! Jason arrived did a walkthrough, explained the process utilizing enzymes, sanitizers and brighteners. The carpet looked really good on the first pass. I inquired about a second cleaning for a extra deep clean, for my personal peace of mind being my daughter's dog had bladder issues, Jason charged a nominal fee and got me squared away. I found the company via groupon. I called the owner (Jason), who asked a few questions, My location and what type of home I lived in. because of my location, he agreed to waive the (Gas) fee due to my distance, nothing else was mentioned about my property type. The day of the appointment, he was an hour late, once he arrived he explained that I live in a condo and he does not clean condominiums, again i told him my property type at the time appointment was set. Jason agreed to look at my carpet, once he came in, he stated in order to clean my carpet he would need me to pay him an additional $289, due to what he felt need more treatment, i refused to pay that amount, and this is when things turned soar. Jason proceeds to tell me he would not do a cleaning on my carpet period and it should be replaced, he refused to look at the additional rooms that i wanted cleaned. I expressed my disappointment with his professionalism, and ask him to leave, he would NOT leave until he attempted to take pictures of carpet, I had to demand Jason to leave my home after the 3rd request.
