This morning my wife drove me to OrthoSouth in Bartlett for medical attention. However, I was denied care after being informed that the facility does not accept Tricare Prime as an insurance provider. When I asked if I could pay out-of-pocket, I was further informed that OrthoSouth only accepts payment through insurance and therefore could not provide treatment. I find it both appalling and deeply disrespectful that a medical institution would refuse care to a military retiree under these circumstances. In my view, every medical facility in the United States should accept the insurance provided to our veterans and military retirees. To deny service to those who have honorably served--many of whom depend on Tricare Prime--is unacceptable. In fact, staff at the front desk mentioned they had turned away another veteran earlier that same day. This experience left me with the clear impression that OrthoSouth prioritizes profit over patient care. To all military veterans and retirees: OrthoSouth is not a facility you will want to rely on for medical services. Their refusal to provide care is a disservice to the 1% of us who have dedicated our lives to serving our country.

I've now had surgery for a complete tear of my rotator cuff by Dr. Christian and I could NOT HAVE BEEN MORE MISERABLE!!! Do NOT GO THERE!!! It was a living hell the entire recovery process!!! This knee was dislocated last year so the Dr. Should have been aware of my history. I came in with blood pressure 158/91. I asked if it may be due to poor circulation in that knee but they told me to wait to hear from the Dr. First, he tried to tell me my dislocation happened to my right knee based off their reports. The reports were incorrect. It was my left. They only did an x-ray... that only gets the skeletal... not tissue, possible blood clots, etc. He doesn't see anything wrong he just felt it was inflammation. He recommended two things that will make my blood pressure highER. I asked him which is best because my BP was high already. He responded as if he didn't read any of my vitals before coming in. Needless to say, I'm in the ER . Great front desk. Not so sure about the Doctors. I hope they realize that you think you can have people constantly coming to you that invoice/income doing patch work... not me... if I'm not confident in your practice, I'm gone.

But, I know there is no physician with her expertise along with her professionalism combined any where else locally to be found. The drive is definitely long, and at times painful along with uncomfortable due to my conditions. I've never found many physician's as Dr Lee-Sigler who go over your diagnosis and treatment plan as she. I've had other issues that were not within her field and recommended me to colleagues who were outstanding. Dr Wolfe was outstanding regarding my knee issue. Dr Saenz did an outstanding surgery on the wrist I broke. This establishment from the time you walk through the door, escorted to the doctor, seeing the doctor, getting X-ray, and checking out is extremely pleasant. The wait time very minimal from the waiting room to seeing the doctor. Since my time with this establishment I've never been under their roof over an hour...! PS: Dr Lee-Sigler personal assistant is a dream.

Absolutely a genuine and caring place for wellness. I had a scheduled surgery for revision hip…read moresurgery. There is a lot of prep prior to surgery with pre-admission labwork. My doctor's office said they would call with instructions prior to your surgery and they did great. They called and reminded me of my visit, gave clear instructions on where to go and what to expect. I was in and out. Then 2 days prior to surgery they called to give a time to arrive. Then the day of I was called due to schedule change to come earlier. I was promptly checked in and headed to outpatient surgery. I was greeted by the entire staff and checked in for vitals by two great nurses, Heather and Rutledge . Both were very genuine and personable. Heather wheeled me back to OR waiting where I met OR nurse Betsy, Bess or Beth, Dr. Bridgewater the anesthesiologist, a guy name George who was hilarious and of course my guy, my surgeon Dr. TOY. Surgery went well and I was escorted out that same day. Baptist Collierville security was so nice during preadmit, the nurses during preadmit testing and Sada at Registration was also very nice. The hopsital is very clean as well as the parking lot. The staff was super nice and accommadating for my mom too. 3 days post-op surgery Baptist Collierville called to check on me after surgery. Now that is good customer service.

I can't mention just one person because of the teamwork they have to a science! All of your questions are answered clearly & professionally.
