I have supported this place for a long time and shared their statuses and thought they were such an…read moreamazing place until I adopted a puppy and they offered zero solutions and took zero responsibility and the fact that nobody told me even though it was in the paperwork that I did not have reviewed with me before leaving with him that he had Giardia and now my old senior dog at home has caught the Giardia, which is contagious after treatment and getting a negative result from being tested to check for it again, it is contagious for weeks after treatment and they did not tell me that when I took this puppy home and I have the sensitive senior dog at home now that is pooping diarrhea from Giardia and extremely sick just a few days after this puppy getting here. When I insisted that they take responsibility and that they did owe my dog medication for Giardia because nobody disclosed this to me when adopting this puppy they told me that that's my opinion and that I can take him to my own vet or pay at their vet for the treatment even though they kept admitting that this puppy did have Giardia and they were belittling and gaslighting and disrespectful at a time in my life where I am going through a lot, and I have had the patience of a saint, with this puppy, cleaning up his pee every five minutes and taking him outside every five minutes through the night without sleep and trying to train him and now my own dog that I've had for 13 years since the beginning of his life who only weighs 8 pounds is pooping himself to death right now and I have to take him to a vet and pay for treatment for a sickness that I didn't know the dog I was adopting from the league had. They will be rude and they will take zero responsibility. I will 100% admit any time that it's my own fault that I did not sit and look in detail at the paperwork before taking this dog home and the chaos of the adoption. But I will say that the shelter did also admit that they only disclose information on current illness not previous illness if it's been treated. Well, also admitting yes, even if it is contagious after treatment because I asked and the answer I got was yes they will not disclose that if it's already been treated. Be very careful about the details on the pets you adopt because every animal deserves love and every animal deserves a home and and I'm heartbroken to the point of sobbing right now while I'm writing this from sadness and frustration for this poor puppy and my own dog and because my mental health cannot take this right now, and I do not have the financial means to take care of this kind of problem, hardly for my own dog and I'm upset at the fact that at this point for my own health and my child's health and my dog's health that I already had. I have to take this puppy back because of Giardia being contagious for weeks even after being cured and now I have to do even more deep cleaning at home after all of the hard work I've already done cleaning up after him trying to help him get settled in, and my son already fell in love with him, but my son gets sick really easily and my dog gets sick really easily and more I do too so for the sake of my own family's health, I'm taking him back to the shelter and I should've looked into things more and asked about any previous illnesses, but I just thought that the leak for animal welfare was better than that. I'm not giving up on my own dog who could potentially die from this because he's so sensitive to everything and has almost died from previous illnesses. They seemed like really cool people and a really awesome place and it turned out to be very opposite of that. I'm not saying they don't care about animals, but they definitely don't care enough about people. I also wanna make it really clear that I did not yell at them on the phone and all I did was express my feelings and express the fact that they would be upset if they were in my position and someone did this to a dog that they had for 13 years since they were a puppy and wouldn't take responsibility, anyone would be upset in this position. It's wrong and unethical and to hang up on somebody who's legitimately upset, and just begging to be acknowledged as a human and for their own pet that they already had to be cared for instead of being belittled and gaslit, it's all just really devastating

Saturday night a black lab pitbull mix showed up on our doorstep. It was probably about two years…read moreold or under the sweetest dog. You ever wanna meet well behaved it took to commands so it had been wild trained. Took it to the Campbell County animal shelter today to have it Checked and of course, there was no chip present. A dog did not have a collar. Also, we posted it on Facebook and several other sites all weekend with no response so obviously somebody decided they couldn't take care of the dog anymore and dropped it off. We basically have been assured that it would not be euthanized and before that happens, they are going to notify us and we will claim the dog it's a shame that the people want to all the trouble of train in it, and then dropped it off. The staff at the animal shelter were very courteous and we're a pleasure to work with! The facility that we seen was spotless I would highly recommend that if you're hunting for a present for Christmas, whether it be a dog or a cat that you contact the Campbell county animal shelter!

This is what really happened...I knew something was wrong when: 1. I pleaded with Faithful Friends to give me a receipt to prove they picked up Oreo( I wanted a date). Also a receipt showing a date proving that she was cremated. I kept asking...they kept refusing. Kim, from Faithful Friends that commented on my review was the person that kept refusing to give me a receipt proving they had picked up Oreo and proving that she was cremated. She also blocked me from talking to anyone else. She, the other staff, as well as Middendorf didn't know where Oreo was or even who the driver, who was supposed to pick up Oreo. 2. I also knew something was wrong when their dates didn't match Middendorf's dates until they finally got together and picked a date that worked for them. 3. Oreo was referred to as a "Male"...my precious Oreo is a FEMALE. 4.Brittany, Jim, Brian and Lorie and staff didn't even have compassion for my Beloved Oreo to return my calls. I will be reporting them to Animal Cruelty Organizations and the Ky. Board of Veterinary Examiner. I am devastated that I still don't know what happened to my Beloved Oreo or where she is. We had received prior (multiple) notifications from Kings Vet Hospital that our 8 year old (older of the 2) dog was past due for his rabies vaccination. He was NOT past due for any vaccinations and we told her that when she entered the examination room - NO vaccines. We were only there for heart worm medication. Rita left the room, came back in, sat next to our dog on the floor. He jumped up and yelped. I yelled "what did you just do to him?" She walked over to the computer, looked at the screen and said "I just gave him the vaccination he was past due for". I asked her 'what vaccination?" She walked out without answering me. We both felt very disrespected. I asked the assistant to please get her so we could ask what she gave him. Rita refused to return to speak to us. I received an email from her later that day to say "if he has an allergic reaction to the vaccination to take him to the emergency vet". Rita Kivircik told the owner of Kings Veterinary Hospital the next day "she had it in her head our dog was past due. She felt she was helping the animal???" (We have his statement from the veterinary board as well). The inconsistencies surrounding Rita are throughout the document. We filed a complaint with the Ohio Veterinary Board. In response to our complaint, Rita wrote a 10 page typed report for a 20 minute appointment (for 2 dogs) stating my husband held the dog down and I fed him treats so she could vaccinate him. Why would we hold him down and 'treat him' if we didn't want any vaccinations???? The board ruled in her favor. Her assistant agreed with Rita's statement about what happened in the room that day. (to get an employee to agree with something so egregious is beyond comprehension). Professionals are supposed to be trusted. It has taken months to put into words the trauma we have been through. Both dogs had to be euthanized on February 17, 2026, only months after this incident. To be clear, the younger of the 2 dogs had bladder cancer, unrelated to this issue. It is up to the reader to decide why a healthy dog "in September 2025" (stated that in their records), then euthanized only 4 1/2 months later from cancer. Can we state she caused the cancer? No. But did the vaccination (whatever she gave him) cause overstimulation of his immune system because he was already fully vaccinated? Will we ever know? We are devastated beyond words. We lost them both on the same day. BEWARE!!!!! NO DOES NOT MEAN NO TO HER. Another employee was quoted as saying it was 'her word against ours".....you decide. The only reason we are posting this review is to help others be aware of what could happen if you decide she is the vet for you. We have deep regrets we went there. We paid the ultimate price.
