Moving to south Ontario 2 years go, I made the mistake of letting my car get hit by my sprinklers on an almost-daily basis. And because I never paid close attention to the paint, hard water spots eventually formed and became etched into the paint of my grey 2012 Volkswagen CC. Well about 2 months ago I decided to treat my car to a full detail and contacted another company I thought was reputable (**ahem, cough cough, Jet Pro Detailing**). We set up a date/time, and I confirmed the job on the day-of, but they stood me up with no response or excuse given. Just terrible!! While cleaning out some paperwork, I ran across David's card (he had detailed a friend's motorcycle several years ago). I was able to contact him through Yelp (GREAT communication, btw) and set up an appointment within a week. David arrived at my home on the date/time agreed to, and because I was out running an errand he even got to work before I returned. I own a 1996 Lincoln Town Car that was my husband's before he passed away in March 2023. He was a 3-4 pack/day smoker and spilled his coffee in the car about once a week. Unfortunately I have to give a bad review. I scheduled my appointment about a week prior. On the day of the appointment I messaged Dave, to tell him he could text when he arrived. He called back saying he didn't have any appointment on the books for me. Strike one. He promised to come right over. I gave him the address and location and type of location again ( I gave it in my originally email contact to him). He called when he arrived and said he couldn't do it at my location because he had previously almost gotten fined at that location. I was very disappointed because I told him my location twice now. It's important to mention that my disappointment wasn't that he couldn't wash the car at my work, I wouldn't have wanted him to get fine. The problem was that he knew my location already (twice he was told). As a business owner who has served customers in my city before, he should have known that. Strike two. He suggested we do it at my home instead. He was very skeptical about the complex giving him permission. He would go back and forth...saying he was unsure and then saying that it wasn't an issue. Strike three was just his overall attitude. He kept giving excuse after excuse after excuse. Needless to say I didn't feel comfortable doing business with him. Dave did a great job on my truck! When I asked him to detail my 2015 GMC utility bed truck I hoped he wouldn't drive away when he saw it! Put mildly, I'm a drywall contractor and this pony was ridden hard! Dave quoted my over the phone and I texted him some pictures. We set up a time, and he texted a confirmation. Worked out great! I'm really impressed with how he buffed out all the dings and paint transfers, waxed to a great finish , cleaned under the hood and really dialed the inside like new. The truck only has 34000 miles but it looks new now, see for yourself! Suffice it to say, I was very happy, and not disappointed at all. He did a phenomenal job. I've had my car detailed many times and usually when it's done I'll look at my car and be like this is nice....it looks good. Well after he did my car, I looked at it and I was like this is unbelievable. It just looks like it came off the factory floor. I will say that it's not cheap. I had Dave come out and do an interior detail which I added in a regular car wash to. Originally Dave had given me a 10am appointment however the day of my appointment he said he would be here at 10:30. I reminded Dave of the 10am and he was able to get here at 10:15. He was professional and gave me a quote which was reasonable and said it would be about 1.5-2 hrs. When he was done I gave the car a quick once over, he took care of things he missed. After Dave left, I took another look and found little things in the inside there were missed. The thing that stuck out for me was that my trunk was not vacuumed. I text Dave to ask him about the vacuuming but said it was not part of an interior detail. I've had the interior of my car detailed before and it was always done whether it was part of it or not. He said he could come back and do it the next day but I was not going to have him come out just for that. Overall the experience was okay. I would give Dave another chance on another car and maybe the next time I can change my review to a 5 star. read more
