I already had a FOID card but knew I also needed to go through with a conceal carry class. I really like Waren Develle's way of teaching this class. He really interacted with the class, telling us about real life examples, teaching us what is required by law but also extra tips he has. As a result of his tips on how to become a good shooter, all of the members in my class has no misses with the exception of those who had either an ammunition or firearm malfunction. Develle also has a funny, down to earth, and easy character about him that makes it easy to connect with his students. Once we got to shoot for the first time, I know what it feels like to hold and shoot a firearm and feel much better having this experience. I found shooting to be fun and would pursue more knowledge in firearms training as well as gain more experience in shooting. I am looking to purchase my own gun in the future along with all the recommended accessories the instructor has recommended. I highly recommend taking a CCL class as the more we know about firearms the better and the safer we can keep our communities and neighborhoods. I believe in preparedness and in being responsible for our own lives and in being part of a healthy yet strong community.

The Class is completely FREE of charge, do not assume that the initial price paid will include the fee for the Concealed license, that fee is a additional $153.38 once you have finished the course and applied online. The shooting range is not in this establishment you have to go to another location for that part of the course. The instructor Mr. Devell is extremely knowledgeable in his task and he will make sure that when you leave his class you are as well. Mr. Devell can also be a bit condescending and can in my opinion use better peoples skills. Mr Devell also uses a lot of profanity during his class and does not take inconsideration the respect for Seniors. The classes never started on time and it was a lot of valuable information to cover. Is a bit unorganized as is only Mr. Devell teaching but also trying to multitask everything else so expect long wait lines for signatures and photos. The establishment is clean and the staff is very helpful. Did we learn? Yes Would I recommend someone to go? I would with a fair warning of all the things I mentioned before. We also decided to make a purchase and Ricardo Rodriguez was very helpful in answering all of questions and helping us with the online application process for the license.

I highly recommend this business. Chris is an excellent instructor. He knows the laws, answers the questions and encourages students to reach out after the class with questions or how to navigate the online registration for CCL. Chris is very nice and has a nice sense of humor. Went to the range to qualify and I was very nervous as it has been a while since I went shooting. Chris helped me throughout the whole shooting process, giving me instructions and tips on how to load, check, stand, etc. Absolutely go to HBT. Worth it.

It was a little difficult to figure out how to use the Groupon on the website, but calling the agency a couple of times helped me resolve the issue. I registered for the two-day course online and the first day I arrived about 5 minutes before the session started. Larry, the first instructor, was kind to wait almost 20 minutes for everyone to arrive - but I would have preferred to start the class on time. The second instructor, Bill arrived later and brought all of the energy and entertainment. The instructors seemed to complement each other and both were very positive, patient and knowledgeable. My favorite part of day 1 was the simulation activity. I would have preferred fewer and shorter breaks to allow more time for additional simulation time. Day 2 started at the Eagle Sports Range to qualify for the Concealed Carry License (CCL). While the Groupon for the course was a great deal (I paid $18), they make up the low price of the class by having a long laundry list of potential expenses (e.g., renting firearm equipment, CCL application assistance, fingerprinting, etc.). Although they send an email prior to class with the list of expenses, it would be more helpful if the itemized costs were listed on their website. When you go to the website, flat fees are listed, but the Groupon does not include most of those fees. From talking to a friend about their experience with a different agency, their course offered a flat $150 fee that covered everything - which I would prefer. So if they are going to offer a Groupon, I'd prefer they include all the costs upfront. I also don't care for the extra 3% fee for using a credit card. Overall though, it was a great learning experience for me as a novice and I'd recommend it

Poor customer service. My husband and I walked in and were neither greeted nor given any direction…read moreon where to check in for the range. When we asked about a membership, we were rudely told we would have to pay for multiple fees plus the membership ($114 + $50), with no clear explanation. Despite this, we decided to stay and shoot. Later, we asked another employee about the membership, and he took the time to explain it thoroughly and encouraged us to sign up. He then asked another employee to help us with the signup and refund what we had been incorrectly charged. That employee was polite and genuinely tried to help, even asking for assistance from the GM. Unfortunately, instead of being helped, another employee stepped in with an attitude and stated that the membership cost was non-negotiable and that we would still be paying essentially the same amount, minus $5.41. He spoke as if we weren't even standing there. Shortly after, another employee joined with the same dismissive attitude and offered no help. We thanked the one employee who was kind and professional but ultimately decided not to sign up for the membership. I did not appreciate the negative attitudes and unwelcoming environment created by the majority of the staff. If this is how new customers are treated, we will not be returning and will be sharing our experience with others

I've been going to this range since the month they opened their doors, and I happily keep going back! This is the epitome of what a "clean range" should be. It has the best HEPA filters in the ranges and it never smells of powder. The employees are all so very nice and helpful, usually with a does of comedic relief. Shooting there is like going to a friend's home to shoot. They make all their customers feel welcomed, rather than some ranges (on Rt 30?) where everyone seems to have an attitude of being better than you and that you're inconveniencing them at their place of work. NOT HERE - YOU ARE ALWAYS MADE TO FEEL WELCOMED AND APPRECIATED AS A CUSTOMER! ALWAYS! While I've been shooting for over 50 years, I recently took a private lesson from Mark Longo to break a bad habit of (like many!) anticipating the shot and shooting low-left. WHAT AN AMAZING INSTRUCTOR! Mark was able to zero in on several bad habits I had developed over the years, and taught me how to correct them as well as practicing drills to continue to fix and internalize them at home. I was always a "decent" shot, but in only one lesson I absolutely improved. I will be joining their club as Mark Longo got me excited to shoot again, because of the progress I immediately noticed.
