I was hesitant in taking this class although I knew I needed to because I know how long it is. I am glad I finally went through with it as it is becoming more and more apparent how violent and strange the world has become ever since 2020. I already had a FOID card but knew I also needed to go through with a conceal carry class. I really like Waren Develle's way of teaching this class. He really interacted with the class, telling us about real life examples, teaching us what is required by law but also extra tips he has. As a result of his tips on how to become a good shooter, all of the members in my class has no misses with the exception of those who had either an ammunition or firearm malfunction. Develle also has a funny, down to earth, and easy character about him that makes it easy to connect with his students. Once we got to shoot for the first time, I know what it feels like to hold and shoot a firearm and feel much better having this experience. I found shooting to be fun and would pursue more knowledge in firearms training as well as gain more experience in shooting. I am looking to purchase my own gun in the future along with all the recommended accessories the instructor has recommended. I highly recommend taking a CCL class as the more we know about firearms the better and the safer we can keep our communities and neighborhoods. We decided to take the 3 day Concealed Carry training Thursday, Friday & Sunday. We paid $185.25 for finger prints, equipment rental and Application assistance fee. The Class is completely FREE of charge, do not assume that the initial price paid will include the fee for the Concealed license, that fee is a additional $153.38 once you have finished the course and applied online. The shooting range is not in this establishment you have to go to another location for that part of the course. The instructor Mr. Devell is extremely knowledgeable in his task and he will make sure that when you leave his class you are as well. Mr. Devell can also be a bit condescending and can in my opinion use better peoples skills. Mr Devell also uses a lot of profanity during his class and does not take inconsideration the respect for Seniors. The classes never started on time and it was a lot of valuable information to cover. Is a bit unorganized as is only Mr. Devell teaching but also trying to multitask everything else so expect long wait lines for signatures and photos. The establishment is clean and the staff is very helpful. Did we learn? Yes Would I recommend someone to go? I would with a fair warning of all the things I mentioned before. We also decided to make a purchase and Ricardo Rodriguez was very helpful in answering all of questions and helping us with the online application process for the license. read more

Purchased a metal sig shroud for a red dot sight on 04/17/2022 and as of 7/20/22 has still not been shipped, acknowledged, updated, ANYTHING. I had even called on 04/08/2022 the next day to confirm that the order went through. I saw the email stated "All orders process and ship within 3-10 business days upon receipt of full payment and a valid FFL." Because of this, during my call, I tried to confirm that since this is just a shroud, that I will not need any FFL since this part doesn't require it. The person on the phone was very clearly not paying attention, didn't listen to my question, and just replied with, "oh is this an online order? yeah those ship from our warehouse" awesome, not any information that I asked for, nor anything useful. Useless staff. Useless website as well as they make you submit a message through their website which is faulty and doesn't ever give confirmation that a message was sent, nor any email confirmation that one was sent. Contacted several times, no reply, and now out ~$80 and having to dispute through my bank since they do not answer messages, emails, or calls with any competence. Bottom line, do not buy from here as many others have listed, scam company with 0 IQ employees. read more

If I had an option to choose zero stars, I would. Registered for a 3 hours CCL renewal class at Kee and received 4 separate emails with "details" about the training room, all of them said Kee Firearms in New Lenox. Now, I already assumed we were going to an actual range (which happened to be in Bourbonnais (40 minutes from Kee). No big deal if they told us what was happening on this Sunday morning. Class registration was 8:30am - noon. I get to Kee at 8:15 and a tough guy instructor comes out and tells us we need to get to Bourbonnais and "first shoot is at 8:30am and it's a 40 minute drive." I was like "yea, I know where Bourbannais is but are you joking?"....He says "does it look like I'm joking?" and honestly, it did look like he was joking so I said "yea, it does." I really did think he was joking. Turns out, he wasn't. Made us drive to the range 40 minutes away to shoot for 3 minutes and then they told us to go back to Kee. I'm thinking to myself this will work better than I thought and we will be done by 11am if we just have to go back to pay at Kee. Nope, the tough guy instructor comes in, a class full of newbie CCL people and the renewal people. He goes onto say "there were some of you that were confused about where to go this morning," excuse you buddy, I wasn't confused - you idiots didn't tell us where to go. That is different than confused. You are the confused one. Anyhow, instead of just getting through the Illinois Law portion (the only part we need to know before we can go) he goes thru some BS test questions with the newbs and hands out a test to them. He dilly dally's for another 40 minutes getting our certificates and finally starts going over the law portion. I didn't leave Kee until 1:20pm......5+ hours of my time for a 3 hour class. Please do me a favor and go to a place that has a range available and a place that has a legit 3 hour course. Do not go to Kee! On top of their prices being outrageous, the instructor (not anyone else at Kee) had no regard for your time, whatsoever. Not once did he apologize for anything. read more

Went in there to look at the Hellcat, after looking at it I wanted to check pricing on it pulled out my phone to see what others are selling for. I was told I can't have my phone out in there I asked why he said just not allowed to have it. I go to my vehicle and check prices on the same Hellcat and found it $100.00 cheaper at several other places. Buyer beware check pricing before you make a purchase. read more

Went to this store about 2-3 years ago and wasn't impressed but I also didn't know they where in the middle of a remodel but today I was in the area and was looking for some ammo and decided to stop by I was blown away by the improvements from the last time I was there I'll definitely be back some other competitions in the area have done some changes and I'm not too impressed same stock is seems like ever time I stop in and they never have what I needed but Kee firearms had it all and then some I'd definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for anything firearm related prices where fair also not other places that are price gouging on certain types of ammo read more

Completed my CCL training and I must admit my expectations were low since the class was free. However, our trainer Darnell was an excellent source of knowledge both theoretical and real world. With his enthusiasm and humor the class went by quickly and we learned all of the essentials. Highly recommend this training for beginners and even experienced shooters. read more

Had every intention of purchasing a SIG P365XL from KF, just wanted to get a price on it. I expected Kee to be a little pricer than the larger - big box stores, and I was ok with it. I'd rather give them my business. I'd already done my homework on the P365XL so I was pretty much ready lay down some cash to purchase the SIG. So I call Kee for pricing...but Kee doesn't give prices out over the phone, thats cool, I get it. So I hang up and drive straight away to KF. One of the older gentlemen working the counter asks me what he can help me with. I tell him I'm looking for pricing on a SIG P365XL, and suddenly I'm invisible, and he moves right on to the other customers. I guess he figured I'm just a time waster shopping price. He's a bit comedic and he's working the customers. All good..I give it a couple more minutes to see if he would come back to me...nope! He moves on down to the far end of the counter. I'm in purgatory. You know when you get that feeling you should cut your loses and walk away...well I got that feeling. So I walked out and drove to Bass Pro shop in Bolingbrook and purchased the SIG mentioned. It was a seamless process. They have older gentleman working the counter at BPS who are patient, knowledgeable, and understanding of first time gun buyers. Because Kee is in my back yard I wanted to give them my business rather than a big box store. Guess it wasn't in the cards. KF is a cool store with an awesome selection. My experience just felt a bit half assed. For me as a first time gun buyer it's a big deal buying a hand gun, and you feel a little awkward to begin with because there is much to learn. I'll come back to KF for accessories and ammo, etc., just disappointed that it wasn't a better experience. read more

I like the fact that kee is very relaxed the people are really nice and they are always willing to answer any questions you may have about any firearm or accessories that they have and the conceal carry class is very very very good they cover everything from how to handle guns to how to find the proper ammo for your gun or other guns I highly recommend their conceal carry class read more

DON'T have any firearms shipped here they prolong the Background process and extends waiting period time for you to pick up your firearm at their own discretion (YES MY BACKGROUND CHECK CAME BACK APPROVED WITHIN THIS TIME FRAME) THIS IS NOT compliant with Illinois law, 720 ILCS 5/24-3 . It took me almost 2 weeks to obtain my firearm from the original date of purchase PAID IN FULL. Most firearms in there inventory are marked up 200-300 above MSRP. Furthermore I've found cheaper firearms training classes else where and I've felt racial tensions in this establishment.
