    Their supposed hours.

Awful terrible service. I arrived a little before 9 PM on a Friday evening. There were people that were seated and had just ordered. As soon as I walked in, they told me they were closed. The sign clearly states that it closes at 10 pm on Fridays so I don't understand why they lied to me about something clearly stated on their door. Their open sign was fully lit as well. I don't know if it was because I was wearing a crop top or because they don't like how I look or anything. I just know that they had seated people literally thirty seconds before I walked in. It was very rude and unprofessional.

I love proto's! it's honestly my fave in Boulder for the price, it's always consistent and yummy! I also love the dessert's from here too. A great cheaper option for pizza in Boulder! The staff is friendly and awesome always too. I like the Angel pie & Proto's pie.

    The Proto Pie! So delicious

One of my family's favorite local pizza places. We usually go to the downtown Denver location so this was our first time checking out the Boulder one and it did not disappoint. First off, Kristy was our server and she was fantastic. She was friendly and was really knowledgeable about the menu. We love the tomato and mozzarella salad (caprese), but my mom really wanted greens as well so Kristy added a small bed of greens which was nice of her. I always get the Proto Pie and it is so delicious. I love the usage of basil in this restaurant since it's one of my favorite flavors. It's in a cute corner spot up in North Boulder and parking really isn't that bad which is rare for Boulder. Definitely worth checking out for some really top notch pizza!

One single anchovy for my Caesar salad? $6+ for a bed of lettuce. We won't be ordering any food again. What a disappointment.

Wow. $6+ for a bed of lettuce and one single anchovy? Needless to say we won't be back.

    The Ultimate pizza, very good!

The Pizza hit the spot and service was great! Nice little spot to have beer, wine and pizza.

If you are looking for a fast super fresh lunch find a Protos. The one in Boulder had seated service and I watched them make my pie I think it was faster than Mc Donalds and obviously better. It is a thin crust style pizza. The ingredients are very fresh and the taste proves that. Highly recommend this locally owned business. In addition the staff is amazing John the manager is available and very nice. I am so had a dessert which was gone before I could get the picture but defiantly ask about the cannolis it was the perfect mix of sweet.

Called them up, do you have a table, we don't book tables but if you come in the next 20 mins should be ok the lady on the other end replied. So we rock up with two hungry small kids 15 mins later and we're informed there is a 20mins wait. Ok we're a little miffed but decide to wait it out. 5 mins in we decide to sit at the bar and owner hands us menus. We can order now and by the time we get to the table we'll have our food we think. Bar woman finally interacts with us 7-10mins later - you know how some members of this profession are. Oh, you have to be seated to order she informs us. We walked out - either a big misunderstanding or totally bloody incompetence ??? Shite service, remember people just want to be acknowledged, make eye contact with them as soon as you can. Shit we've of waited half an hour if we'd of got some kind of acknowledgement/ apology or a simple hi as soon as we sat down. Back to the drawing board mate. This reminded me of the shite service we get in Germany.

We have a favorite pizza order, a salad and dessert we almost always face. It's gotten to almost be joke status when I walk in. They know my order , it's so perfect I dare not change. There are so many toppings I cannot have, I always go with the basic B and a Caesar salad. The basic B is for basil, an herb I adore. So this is really a simple but tasty Margherita with classic char on the crust. If there is no char, it's not NY pizza. The salad balances it perfectly. My husband always gets the Telluride Redfish amber ale. Not easy to find in Boulder. Tonight I had the Stem Cider Off Dry because they did not have the Hibiscus or the Chile Guava in stock. But Stem is local and my favorite brand and Off Dry the most common at bars. After such a nice meal on almost a holiday. We topped it off with a house made cannoli. Prepped fresh at service time so it won't get soggy. We can come here every few weeks , no matter the weather and enjoy it every time. The view is great and there are always people out on the deck getting pictures with the Flatirons backdrop. So glad they built to maximize the view.

We went with the Lottie's Salsiccia, which had sausage, vodka sauce, and sweet and sour peppers. It had an interesting mix of sweet and savory flavors. Our waitress also recommended us the Trapanese, which was super creamy as it had pesto sauce and burrata cheese chunks on top. We added anchovies to half of the pizza and that definitely added some saltiness to it. For drinks we had the aperol spritz and frose, which were refreshing. They have indoor and outdoor seats, though outdoor is limited so you may have to wait. The flavors of the pizza really came through well, but the crust was a bit too thick for my liking. Service was fast though and super friendly! It's right on Pearl Street too so you can check it out as you're shopping!

One with more attention to detail, fluffy crust, more 'Italian' style, more homey. This is the place if you're craving that more authentic Italian style experience! They've got actual margarita pizza (that's not just a cheese pizza with tomato slices thrown on it like other places..) and really unique style pizzas if you're feeling adventurous. We had one unique pizza that had sausage, honey, and pistachios. I usually dislike sweet and salty and my partner hates nuts, but they did this pizza so well it was one of the best pizzas we tried there. I believe they mix up their menus cause when I tried looking it up online for the exact name of the pizza I couldn't find the pizza. But I'll post a picture of the pizza. They also have a great appetizers and the slice their prosciutto to order. What I love about this place is you can sit at the pizza bar and watch pizzas being made and meat being sliced and arranged beautifully. I loved their limoncello drinks which is perfect for spring/summer day out on their patio. The servers are kind and hard working. This definitely is one of my favorite places to hang, date night, girls night, business dinner, etc.

After leaving an event nearby, it was time for me to get acquainted with Pizza Colore! Slice shops are a dime a dozen nowadays. This place has a long counter with pizzas by the slice for your eyes to wonder upon. Very few seats near the front window and outside, but I believe there was more seating towards the back of the restaurant. I ordered an "East Coast" slice (their version of a supreme) and a cheese slice. After a few minutes, my order was ready. I loaded them up with grated cheese, red pepper flakes, and oregano. These were served piping hot, as any respectable slice shop should do. These slices were good! Practically no flop other than the first bite, crust was crispy and bready, and I felt like the toppings/cheese and sauce were balanced well. My main qualm was that it was missing salt in the dough and sauce. If it was seasoned throughout this would've been a great slice! However, the spicy ranch for dipping was clutch! Service was quick and friendly. Many people were popping in for a quick bite. I loved standing outside in the moderately cold weather scarfing down my hot slices, while watching the Saturday night crowd cruise by on Pearl Street. As close to an east coast experience as you can get in Colorado! I came in with little to low expectations, and left full and satisfied. Glad I finally gave them a shot. Prices were right and the product was respectable!

We order the scampetti alla romana grilled shrimp it was the best we've had since moving from Chicago and our beloved "Orzo Italian restaurant" of old town we frequented. Was hot when arrived perfectly grilled nice char and not overly garlic w touch of red pepper flake. We both filled up our order w shrimp in our main dishes based on how delicious and perfectly cooked our shrimp was.
