Nick showed us one that looked close and we took the sample home to see how it would match. It looked almost identical, so we decided to order. Not once was it mentioned that the color out of the box would be different than the sample. Most samples are generally what you would expect the material to be out of the box. Nick also came to our house to measure and again never mentioned any of this. He at first said it was in stock, but it became that it was no longer in stock once we wanted to order. We decided to pay a rush delivery fee to get it sooner. We picked up the wood yesterday and brought it home. We opened one box and the wood was a completely different color than our current wood. We called to find out what was going on and were told that their samples get so much sunlight that they are of the matured color vs. out of the box. They said it would take at least 6 months for the wood to darken. That would have been nice to know... As we had told Nick multiple times, we are planning to sell our house well before 6 months. Again, this is very relevant information to give any buyer. We let them know we couldn't use the wood as is and it is completely different from what we were told we would be getting. Nick's response was that he needed to speak to his manager. He called my husband back several hours later to say that his manager said they would only be able to take back unopened boxes, but he would check further and get back to us. We called again today to speak to the manager directly after not hearing back from him and were told his manager isn't in the office today and that they can't take any back now. Do yourself a favor and just avoid the nightmare that this company is.

The owner stated that only one painter, among the 10 or so that he employed, was trained to spray the exterior of our three-story house, and this painter was leaving the company. But rather than postpone our project while another painter was trained to, uh, paint, Final Touch simply canceled. Now we have to start all over again finding a reputable painting contractor who can fit us in during the busiest season of the year. What a frustrating waste of time.

After reading all the…read more5-star reviews (which influenced my decision to go with this company), I am baffled by the terrifically poor wall painting job Christine's painting contractor provided for us. That, on top of his over the top rudeness to myself and my spouse, just made this job one of the most unpleasant home improvement projects we have done. We had to have the painter return (which was the last thing we wanted) and Christine to rectify the numerous painting errors. He, once again, wouldn't even acknowledge us. Yes, there was a language barrier, but he never once greeted us when coming into our home, rushed through the job (he got "done" two days ahead of schedule) and did one of the messiest wall painting jobs I've seen. Yes, the cabinets look nice, but with all the cabinet refinishing companies out there one would think the finished job should be close to perfect. The owner never checked with us during the job and when we started to express our displeasure towards the end, she offered numerous excuses, defending her painter. We do have a lg Pride flag on our house and we are thinking perhaps the painter was homophobic. We don't readily go to that, but this guy's attitude stumped us. Christine did correct the problems but overall, esp with the amount of $ we spent, we highly regret not going with a different company.

We had a small flood in our kitchen and staff from the restoration firm we hired cut numerous and excessively large holes in the base supports of our cabinets. In many places, these spanned cabinet joints and left the cabinets without proper support. We also had a cabinet door damaged during the process - a broken hinge for which no replacement parts were available still. We had other cabinet doors knocked out of alignment. Trying to find a firm to fix these, replace the kickplates/trim, etc. that were left by the restoration company was difficult. It was a relatively small job. Ervin was one of only 2 companies that responded and was willing to take on our small job. Not only did Top Refinish respond immediately, they sent out an estimator promptly. Ervin and his employees are all great communicators. Everything was very professional and their costs are reasonable given their expertise. Give them a call for a bid. You'll be glad you did.
