I gave this business a 1 star for the simple fact that the contractor did not bother to arrange an appointment to do the job. If you request a quote expect a text. I attempted to text message the contractor and he did not reply my text message. I attempted to call the contractor and he did not answer my call nor did he call back. I don't think this is a good way to treat any customer. This guy came to my house he over sprayed my whole bathroom tile, sink faucet, mirror, and toilet. Good thing I'm remodeling soon. Okay so I skipped the fact that after my very first review (first portion at top) he called and maybe putting one and one together he apologized and said that he wasn't able to call sooner. I was going to update the review so it did not reflect the "late call back" (a few days late). Good thing I did not. After your sloppy job I meant to update my review but I just now got to it. I didn't make the overspray a big deal because taking you to small claims is probably not worth it for me. I should have brought that up that same day. I work all the time so I really don't have time for you to come back out to fix your screw up. I'm an actual customer not somebody "trying to destroy your business" or I did not get your company confused with a similar named company. I'm a hard working person and I don't believe in harming any hard working person or their company. I'm just saying what I experienced with the job you did and your attitude toward me. Looking at your other replies I found that you always try to rebuttal by denying having record of the customer and that we are lying or a fake customer. Do yourself a favor and dont use these guys. They did not do the job right, they left residue all over my bathroom that I cannot clean off. The tubs have paint runs and the sanding was not properly done. I tried to contact them to have them come back and fix the job but no anwer yet?? Doesn't like to pick up phone calls, return emails or text messages. Their voicemail specifically asks you to text them pictures or email them for estimates. I've sent out the pictures along with a message attached, iMessage showed my messages and pictures was in fact delivered and read; yet no response. --------------------------------------------------------- Check out the owner's Reply, how could you have searched my phone number for "records" based on my Yelp review? We had (being evicted) a very problematic renter who's most recent complaint to excuse his constantly late rent was that his tub needing to be refinished due to a patch of missing glaze and few chips. The fact is he never bothers to clean his bathroom (doesn't even have any cleaning supplies) in the nearly 2 years of living there and only now brought it up. I should know since I painstakingly cleaned it of stains before he moved in and once again, as a courtesy, after repairing a leak from an annual inspection. Miguel went above and beyond for 3 weeks attempting to contact by calls and text to schedule with our problematic tenant or his other occupants in order to resolve his complaint. He even contacted on Sunday, which they're normally closed. However, since it's obvious that you're trying to make me look like the bad guy I will share some additional information and fight fire with fire Other than what was visible how am I supposed to know how bad the tub was underneath the top coat? I am not the professional and based on your feedback and comments it appears you do not recognize that term. Thanks for explaining to me and all of the others reading this that DIY means Do it Yourself. However, I am now advising everyone that is reading this that DIY now means Don't Involve Yourself with Protub. I clearly advised you that I had used one of the DIY kits and I clearly advised you that it was peeling and I clearly advised you that it appeared that the original glaze was damaged. As the so-called professional you made a conscious choice to accept the job over the phone, you also made a conscious choice to accept the job when you arrived and saw the damage. Had you said that you could not give a quote until you saw the tub or had you said that you would prefer to not accept the job because of the extent of the damage I would been fine with your decision but again, it was you who provided the quote over the phone and it was also you who chose to accept the job after seeing the tub. Perhaps you need to look at your standard operating procedures, if you do not have any I would suggest you create some. The damage to the tub was clearly visible before you started working on it. As stated previously, it your choice to continue, not mine. You gave me options shortly after I posted the review on Yelp and not a day before. I posted the review 4/5/16, you sent me a text 4/5/16 asking if I could give you another chance at repairing it. If it was that important to you to make things right why did you wait until April? It sounds like you were attempting to do some damage control because of the review that I posted. I never said you left me hanging, I simply said that you took long to send me the refund and that when I finally received the check there was a mistake on it, you made it out to Jose instead of Jorge. Yes, I agree that there are two sides to the story.......yours, mine and the truth. I will leave it up to the Yelpers to decide what the truth really is. I live in a rental and the owner remodeled the whole house but the bathtub since it was cast iron and was in good shape but had chipping. I found Protub on yelp, gave the info to the owner. He was clean and considerate making sure to use an air system that blew the strong odors out of the window. He put plastic over everything in the bathrooms and on the carpet leading to the bathrooms to make sure it all stayed clean. Miguel at ProTub just finished a reglaze job for me and it looks great! I had a tenant moving in and so I was contacting a few companies to get scheduling and estimates. Miguel had me take pictures of the current condition of the tub and shower enclosure and email it to them to speed up the estimate process. He was honest to say that they will honor the quote even if it ends up to be more work then expected when they actually see the project in person. We had it scheduled two wks out, or at least I thought we did... a few days prior I wanted to confirm again but there must have been a misunderstanding on the email so they initially did not have it booked. I pointed out from prior email messages that we had it booked and they were able to honor that as well and keep my original appointment. Miguel showed up within the given hour, he was very nice, clear, and clean on the job. He also sent me pictures of the finished job to confirm it's done so I didnt have to worry if it was finished or not. ( I had to go to work) Overall, it was a good experience. The tub / shower looks great! They may seem a little more on the costlier side, but I've done Property Management work before and sometimes the lower price place's work would peel within the year. I have photos and will upload them. It's been about 2 months since the refinish and I waited about 3 weeks to use the bath just to make sure. You CAN use it like 48 hours after but I just wanted to make sure. So, I'll keep it simple so you can make your decision. 1. It still looks good and feels good. 2. The technician was suuuuuuuuuper professional that I would honestly trust him in my house alone. 3. I don't know the method he uses but he has better pricing than anyone. 4. 6/22/16 I called and got the voice mail to either email or text photo for estimate so I did. I received a quote by text at night with a few options for appointment dates. I chose the following day and Miguel showed up as promised. He was very professional and courteous in texting and in person. He set up his work area very neatly and covers floor where he need access to. I didn't even have to vacuum after he's gone! He vented the odor out and advised me to allow 24 hour for drying. Just to be safe and I'll leave it for a couple more days. He offers 3 year warranty. By the way, this is the second time I have to reglaze my bathtub because the other company with nearly 5 star yelp review couldn't get the job done right. The other company offered me life time warranty but won't honor it and insisted me for misusing my bathtub. I was tired of calling them back and each time have to hear them accusing me for something I didn't do.
