Office personnel, Brittany, refused to provide this information, indicating that the information would be shared with my mother in June 2026. This is a violation of HIPAA, the conduct required for doctors pursuant to the CA Medical Board and her rights as a patient. Despite explaining to Brittany that this information was needed so that it could be shared with my mother's other treating doctors, Brittany refused. The medical doctors with this group (Faisal, Zhang, others) seem to be billing the insurance company without providing patients with necessary test results so that patients can advocate for themselves and their medical needs. Waiting until June to receive test results done in April could be too late and could result in an unnecessary delay in medical treatment. I am going to have to file a complaint with the CA medical board against the medical group and I'd advise any person considering using this group's doctors for medical care to think twice because they are effectively delaying my mother learning about an acute diagnosis (acute frequent strokes) which could result in a negative outcome. I will be finding another neurologist for my mother ASAP. STAY FAR AWAY FROM Dr. Bhupat Desai (agent for service of process), Dr. Qazi Faisal (president of the Neurology Group), and the Neurology Group's doctors.

A year of suffering and a hospitalization had not led me to a solution or to the cause of my pain and rapid loss of mobility. After a series of weekly visits, I was guided back to normalcy. Some tips during treatment keep me on course. I will return for occasional visits as needed. Thank you, Dr. Barton, for your guidance, wisdom and empathy. I am 76 and I want to avoid surgery whenever I can and take care of my body.

There's a kind of warm energy buzzing through it. When I walked in, a few staff members immediately checked in with me--offered help, asked if I needed anything, and seemed like they meant it. It's the kind of place where you don't feel like an inconvenience for just... being there. Dr. Barton himself? Warm, sharp, unhurried. He asked specific questions, zero judgment, no rush--just actual conversation. You can tell he likes his job and takes it seriously. Also? He's a lot more personable than you'd expect from someone who's double-board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology. (Which sounds a bit like a Marvel super-scientist resume, but I digress). ‍‍ Bottom line: if you're looking for a doctor who listens, thinks out loud with you, respects your time, and actually gives a damn--Dr. Barton checks every box, and then some.

I immediately felt at ease by his calm and gentle demeanor, and he had a great sense of humor too. A very good listener as well, but more importantly, he understands what migraine sufferers cope with. He gave me hope that there are other proactive treatments we can try to lower the frequency of my migraines, rather than just treat them reactively. I highly recommend him and will see him again in June to try one of the new, suggested treatments. I have the utmost confidence in him.

Her confusion got very bad after she had run out of her alzheimers medication. When we finally got in to see him-it took 2 months to get an appt, and asked why he wouldn't give us just enough meds til we got to this appt, he said it was the clinics policy to not renew meds if u haven't been seen in a yr. I asked why he couldn't make the decision to tell the clinic he wanted his patients to get enough med til they see him. He said,"it was NOT worth my energy". What dr says that to a patient and family? Basically he said he was on a salary and doesn't make the decisions. Really? So he could care less about my sister. That's what he was really saying. As long as he gets his paycheck. What happen to the the oath he took when he first got his degree? A Geleris you need to retire and do patients a favor. I'd give him no stars if I could.
