We are still covered, per the warranty. Now the contractor tells us that NBP was sold and won't honor warranties anymore. This sounds crazy. I called NBP and their associate (in the rudest tone imaginable) tells me I have to talk to the contractor. The warranty I have is from the manufacturer. They are the manufacturer. Contractor is telling me the manufacturer won't replace the (defective) windows for free--I have to pay $180 per sash (half a window) and that this is a "deal." I can't believe that this is a "deal" given that--of our 8 windows (16 sashes), we have had to replace 6 sashes (37.5%) in the last 3.5 years... And where will the new sashes they want me to pay for come from? NBP. But those would be covered under a new lifetime warranty... NBP will not even talk to me "you need to talk to your contractor" is immediately followed by them hanging up after I (politely ask) if they can verify if the warranty is still active.
