If I could rate this shop a zero I would. Very unprofessional and we're trying to scam me. They kept telling me to go through my insurance even though the accident to get more money even though the accident wasn't my fault and I had the other persons insurance information. They had my car sitting there nearly a month lying saying that the other insurance didn't want to pay to to fully "fix" my vehicle. They mad various excuses first claiming that the other insurance wanted to use aftermarket parts even though my vehicle is a 2020. Little did they know I work at a Honda dealership and looked up all the part numbers from the other insurance company's estimate and they were all factory parts. They thought they could play me because I'm only 20. They gave another excuse saying that the other insurance didn't assume liability; another excuse to go through my insurance. I kept inquiring because none of there story made sense. And that's when they asked me why I kept asking the same questions then I spoke with the piece of sh** Nick and he told me "Come pick up your car, and give me back my rental " because he knew I was on to them. Should have known this shop was on some bs... they gave me a small 14 Corolla that rode like sh** in place of my 2020 full size sedan. Glad I got my vehicle away from there after sitting for a month. Last thing is they kept saying the other insurance didn't want to pay to repair my vehicle and I asked them for a quote of what needed to be fixed and they never had any estimate. These people are frauds and they barely greet you when you go through the door. When I came to pick up my vehicle my advisor didn't even look at me and pretended to not even see me. I have used Provicence Auto Body for several years and always have been pleased with their work and turnaround time. A few months ago my wifes Outback was damaged in the parking garage she patronizes daily. The attendant, when moving the Outback misjuged and scraped the rear pasenger door and panel. The damage covered an area of about one square foot where the paint was scraped, there was no dent. The car was there for eight weeks. I received no explanation no apology. Wow, really goes above and beyond what you'd ever expect. I work in retail, I've done so for 20 years. I know customer service because my livelihood depends on it. What these people have done for me goes, and I mean truly goes into the records as the best customer service I have ever had. It starts and ends with Nick. Last year Providence auto had to completely replace my cars engine after being stuck in a flash flood. Not only did they find and install a lower mileage engine but they also provided me a complementary rental car until the service was complete. It took some time, but they communicated well and the end product was great, fully detailed too! FLASH FORWARD A YEAR My car only has 44,000 miles on it and BOOM, last Thursday my tranny blew while I was on the highway. Scary! Nick to the rescue, he towed it from my home in Portsmouth to Providence, it wasn't the engine so it wasn't covered by them under there lifetime warranty. But, Nick found that my car is covered by the factory warranty and Is now at Tasca Mazda in Cranston. He saved me again. I would recommend anyone there! I recently had my car fixed at Providence Autobody and I was very pleased with the results. I found them online searching for a place that was reputable and could repair a Mercedes. It took about a month to get the car back. The paint blend was perfect, and everything was put back like new. When I picked up the car it had been detailed inside and out. TERRIBLE, UNTRUSTWORTHY. I work with hundreds of auto body shops in 6 states through New England and have NEVER encountered anyone as rude as the employees in this shop. They refuse to give written estimates which is VERY rare in my experience. I asked a few simple questions about the damage they found when their verbal "estimate" was much more than anticipated and they immediately became angered and were yelling at me. Blown away is all I can say. From start to finish they knocked it out of the park. The quality and detail they put into restoring my Jeep back to the way it was, if not better, prior to my accident, is bar none. I was recommended to Providence Auto Body by a friend and they did not fail. In all, my car took about 5 weeks to be repaired; 1 week longer then anticipated due to my insurance company, not the shop. I've seen comments about staff being rude but I did not encounter anything like that. Quite the contrary, everyone who I spoke to or encountered was there to help, not make things more complicated. I will say they are direct and straightforward at the shop, so maybe people confuse that with being rude? Hands down if I ever had another accident this is the first place I'd bring my car again. Washed, waxed, detailed inside and out, and filled with a full tank of gas is what I call service. I did bring back my Jeep a week later as I thought there might have been a slight issue with the door closing properly (it just had to be closed a little harder). The moment I called I was told to come right down to the shop, they dropped what they were doing to take a look at it and make sure I was satisfied. They adjusted the door slightly and it was perfect, it was all because they used all brand new products and seals and the door has a tighter seal. When they took longer on my car than my insurance allowed for a rental they gave me one of their loaner cars for free! The deductible was nonexistent and they gave me a full tank of gas! In 2012, as I sat in a Rhode Island restaurant, a distracted mom backed up her mini-van without looking and did a number on my carefully parked and previously pristine car. I lost my appetite when the manager called out "who owns the red Acura?", and went out to discover some pretty serious damage to the passenger side. My luncheon companion, who just happened to be a collector of vintage cars, took a look and suggested I call Providence Auto Body. Though I live in Massachusetts, I knew if he recommended them they must be good. They were! From their first estimate to the day I picked up my beautifully repaired and repainted ride, I knew I was in good hands. They negotiated with the insurance appraiser to get a fair settlement, and did an amazing job. When they were done, not only was there absolutely no sign that it had been damaged, but my car was immaculate. Earlier this year (2016) after a trip through the car wash, I noticed some bubbling paint and rust on the edge and bottom of the rear passenger-side door. Only on the door - nowhere else, thank God, but I was really upset until I remembered being told that Providence Auto Body guarantees their work for the lifetime of the vehicle. They do indeed! I called, was immediately invited to bring the car in so they could have a look, and quickly had an appointment to drop it off. No hassle, no protest, no frowns - only smiles and the reassurance that they would take care of everything, including providing me with a rental car. 2 month repair with no customer respect, check the entire car when the car is returned to you. I backed into a truck causing damaged to the driver side tail light and driver side rear spoiler. Providence Auto Body took possession of my car from June 26 through August 27. The defensive line the customer service provided was extremely natural. The car I was told was delayed due a company wide July 4 Vacation Week, which I wasn't told about.Then, the plot thickens to a couple more weeks, then a couple more weeks, then the warehouse was in transit, relocating, then a couple more weeks the Sonic spoiler is on back order, then a couple more weeks because 7 spoilers (?) were ordered and 6 were made. Here is the kicker, while my car was awaiting the rear spoiler Providence Auto Body put 197 miles on my car and damaged both front hubs and tires. My opinion PAB used my car for errands then when returning with the car the curb on the side street parking most likely damaged the hubs and tires (ie without verbally asking for permission to use the car). My reasoning I reset the trip odometer upon topping the car gas, I paid to have the car cleaned before being dropped off, all four rubber mats were in the trunk, a small vial of paint and change were left in my center counsel, the passenger seat was adjusted different. I would not have been as displeased if the CSR would have told me from the start. Not being repaired is my fault, I did not look my baby over when I picked her up, why would I? I did not realize the damage had been done until weeks later, please believe me I know every ding on my car. read more

I brought my car in that was hit by a rock. Didn't have to do another thing. As usual they were wonderful. My car looks like it belongs in a showroom and a full tank of gas. The women were snippy at best and extremely condescending. They gave me a rental that was on empty for gas. Worst. Experience. Ever. The damages on my car were appraised at $2,300. After waiting a WEEK for my appointment, I dropped the car off. I had no idea how long it would take but the insurance company gave me a car allowance for four days and the appraiser said it could be done in a day. I think the appraiser may have been wrong but the job certainly doesn't take 14 business days. That was what I was told when I called at the end of the day for a progress report. When I became upset (my bad - but i needed the car to travel on Friday which I am pretty sure I mentioned previously to one of the dudes there) the woman in the office RUDELY pointed out that the misunderstanding was "MY FAULT", she didn't "wish to go back and forth with me" on the issue and that it was impossible to get me my car by Friday. As I started to say "I don't wish to argue about this at all" she cut me off and told me to "stop talking over her". After that I couldn't get a word in. She continued to interrupt me so that I couldn't explain my thoughts on the matter at all. I told her she was "rude and unhelpful" at which point I thought her head was going to explode. I told her I would come and get the car and I'm now taking it somewhere else. Bottom line: it doesn't matter if I ran over her puppy - she has no right to be so rude to a customer. This body shop not only has poor customer service, but they also clearly have too much business. The amount of work I need should not take 14 business days and it should have been brought to my attention up front if they were that backed up. Don't make the same mistake. read more

I went to them looking for help painting a spoiler and having it installed on my car. I had my dad take the spoiler to them looking for a quote for the paint / install and instead, he returned home and told me that the person he met with looked at the job to be done, said it would be "no problem" and took the spoiler that day to have it painted. When asked for a quote, he was told "don't worry about it - I'm going to make a customer out of you". This would have been cause for alarm, if they weren't such a well known and highly praised business. So I returned a few days later to have the spoiler put on - expecting to have to wait a while or leave the car, but once I arrived, it took all of 10 minutes before there was a tech meeting me in the lot to install the spoiler (which was painted perfectly to my BMW paint code I might add). He did a great job and had it safely secured with fast setting epoxy and I was ready to go in no time at all. When he finished, I was told I was "all set" to which I said I still needed to pay. That was when I was told there was no charge! All he asked was that I "leave a like on facebook or something". Needless to say I was shocked as this same job would have cost me ~ $400 from the BMW dealership, which I know is absurd but that is beside the point. I could not be more pleased with the job they did, I am a very hands on car owner and never let someone else take away from my DIY projects, but I have to say - I couldn't have done it better myself. They really run a terrific business there, not only with the quality of their work, but with the way they treat their customers. Needless to say, I would recommend them to anyone and have already done so to my close friends and family. Rarely does this type of stuff happen nowadays! read more
