Hidden in the Whittier brewery building is the Providence Bakehouse. A little pricey, but definitely worth a try. I got the chocolate cake, and wow -- rich, decadent, creamy, and exactly the kind of dessert that makes you temporarily forget about your budget. It's super shareable, though I'm not sure you'll want to. My son had the crème brûlée and absolutely demolished it, which tells you all you need to know. The service was friendly, kind, and quick even with the line, which is always appreciated. I'm from Orange County, so I probably wouldn't make the drive just for this, but if I'm ever in the area and feeling fancy, I'd happily come back for another round of dessert indulgence.
Ordered DoorDash delivery from this bakery shop. The order was packaged well. I have tried caramel pecan cookie, crème brûlée and strawberry shortcake cheesecake. Also a blue sugar free rice beverage which was a healthy drink. They also offer gluten free options! The bakery goods were very delicious but a bit too sweet for my taste. The healthy rice drink was refreshing. This is a great place if you love very sweet pastries!

There weren't many options at the time, but I still purchased two cookies and a banana pudding. All of the items were delicious and I would definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Everything looked so tempting! I saw on social media... something about the cookies, so I came for the cookies. My daughter had other thoughts. She ended up getting a sparkling passion fruit and strawberry drink and a lemon cheesecake. I got the salted caramel pecan cookie and s'mores cookie. Drink was not my vibe. Lemon cheesecake I didn't try. Daughter took it home. We bit into the s'mores cookie and the salted caramel pecan. I immediately got up and went to order another salted caramel pecan. That crispy burnt caramel edges just hit me! I got another s'mores for a guy at work and shared both. Coworkers loved the salted caramel pecan more!

It's located inside of a brewery, almost immediately to the left when you walk in. There's plenty of seating and everything looked clean. I went on a Sunday so parking was rough. Come for the cafe de olla, but not matcha. The cafe de olla is delicious. The pistachio matcha was terrible. Super sweet. I had to ask for an extra cup with ice and water to dilute it, but the flavor of the matcha was completely lost with the pistachio syrup. The chocolate chip cookie was also good. The banana pudding was not the greatest. The pudding is mostly whipped cream and not good. I would still come back to this place just for the cafe de olla. Its pretty good.

Well, we were here for coffee. Friday night on Valentine's Day. It was good to see the food hall crowded and busy. Providence had a line of customers. I wasn't sure what pastries were available at 7pm. Spotted birthday cake slices, bread pudding and a single cookie plus 2 heart shaped cakes. We had both the birthday cake and bread pudding and a sf vanilla latte and honey pistachio latte both with oat milk. Birthday cake was moist and middle frosting was a delicious strawberry; bread pudding was good and not super sweet. It would be great to have more sauce or a frosting for more sweetness. The honey pistachio latte was really good and the oat milk made it really creamy. Service is excellent and drinks came out within a few minutes.
Beware if you don't tip a barista for doing the job they're supposed to do they give you a crappy drink. I've been here two times before and bought the strawberry chai and the drink I got today tastes like water and sugar! Thanks Nancy!!
We were already in the area and wanted to pick up a few pieces of bread, along with their cheesecake to-go. It looks like their specialty is definitely cheesecakes, as they had a large variety of premade options displayed and ready for purchase. For the flavor, we went with a simple strawberry cheesecake, and I would say it was good. Personally, it didn't blow me away, but it was still a solid cheesecake overall. This was one of the few spots open before 12 PM at Nixon Plaza, so it definitely had a steady line of people coming in to grab drinks and bread. read more

Providence Baked House & Bristo -- Whittier Rating: 4/10 Coffee was just okay -- nothing special. I wasn't a big fan of the matcha drink; the matcha flavor wasn't there, though the foam topping was nice. Im sad you guys dont delivery to Fullerton but when im in the area, my fav stop is providence. Not only for the desserts, but the lovely and warm staff who always greets you like family. My absolute favorite are their cookie flights, cannolis, jalapeño/cream cheese croissant () and others! There café de olla is amazing and made in house. I recommend this place to all my clients bc of the quality of items. High quality, great customer service, what more can you ask for! You can see the gold soul in this business Ps. Craving some bakery sweets, my love & I walked down here to try out their quesadilla which we didn't care for. It was a little dry & even after asking the young lady at the counter, who said, it was very soft & moist, I had a feeling it wasn't! I was right! I chose the pecan /caramel cookie. Not too sweet' is high praise from Asian elders, and that's exactly what they said! I ordered the Biscoff cheesecake and a variety of pies for our Thanksgiving dinner, and they were total hits even after everyone was already full. The pies were flavorful with real ingredients, and the Biscoff cheesecake was light and fluffy--not the dense kind. I pre-ordered and picked everything up on Wednesday before Thanksgiving with no issues, and the staff was so helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back! read more

A friend introduced me to one of her spots to get coffee, and you know she a regular when the cashier gives her off-the-menu recommendations! She told me the coffee and pastry here is a must try, and that this location used to be a bank, and was remodeled to be a space to house local shops. The equivalence of this spot is like Rodeo 39, and I love this type of concept. The open space, the variety, the community and the activities they host (live band) really brings out the community! I absolutely love the pistachio honey latte I got here! It was sweet and creamy. The pistachio flavor was perfect; it wasn't too strong and did not overwhelm the coffee itself. Definitely getting this again! I love savory sweets and got the jalapeños and cheese pastry. A solid 10/10 as well! Overall great spot with a variety of options in coffee and pastry/dessert! Would recommend coming early to ensure you get the pastry you want because my friend was like darn when the last cannoli was bought! Even still, they do have a good selection so work with so I'm definitely trying the tarts next time. read more

Came here for sweets with my sweetie. Well it's was a light rain date night and after fish tacos we decided to get some hot beverage and baked goods. Whittier has options and while strolling we remembered Providence. The place was hoping on a Friday night. If you are not aware this is a multi vendor facility with Whittier Brewing Company as the main player, but several food options. Seating is friendly most picnic styled tables. So you may need to share. It's Ok. Make some new friends. Well about out drinks and desserts. Wifey absolutely loved her Almond Honey Latte and I liked my Pistacho Latte. Her Danish was good. The pecan cookie was phenom NumNum. Service was a bit slow, let's call it artisanal slow. Overall solid choices. read more

Everything hit the spot! I tried the pecan, chocolate-chip, and peanut-butter cookies each one oven-magic. The mint julep wasn't the Disneyland classic I expected lol (think pink, tangy, with a kiss of mint), but I'd gladly order it again! same for the iced café de olla, boosted by that cinnamon cold foam. Cookie favorites: * Peanut butter & pecan (tied): PB nails the sweet-meets-salty, while pecan delivers big nutty crunch. * Chocolate chip - chunky, rich, and finished with a light sprinkle of salt. The service was really friendly and informative. Their displays are beautiful. Stopped in to try their chocolate cake, lovely presentation, excellent flavor and high quality ingredients, but it was a little dry unfortunately. Disappointed considering it was $8.77 for a slice! I get it, the costs of business are sky high now and rent can't be cheap in the Poet Gardens food hall. But at that price point, I expect a fabulous dessert, and it fell short. B grade rather than an A. Maybe it was an off day because they have wonderful reviews mostly. I'm glad I tried them, because I always want to support small businesses, but I don't think I'd gamble with getting such an expensive dessert again. read more

We love this little bakery. The owners are so nice and the desserts are absolutely delicious. It is set in the middle of the Whittier Brewing. Very small but Hugh in flavor. The cheesecake is so light and fluffy. They make it with a mascarpone cheese. The carrot cake was absolutely divine. Found this place by chance and so glad we stopped by! I placed an online order to pick up and it was ready much sooner than expected and the girls at the front were friendly and welcoming ^.^ We also tried the Biscoff cheesecake and it was delicious, definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. I can't wait to go back!! We showed up thinking this place would be open early on a Saturday morning but it's not. That's my fault for not checking online. So we waited about an hour and passed some time in uptown till the location opened up. Wow! It was worth the wait. I'm glad we tried it out! The woman who owns the location was very kind and we learned this magic runs in her family and I would like to be a part of that family! We got several pastries, everything danish, peach danish, biscotti cheesecake and a cafe de olla iced. Everything was delicious but what I will be going back for is the cafe de olla and the peach danish. Wow! This was one of the best coffees I have ever had. This spot is located in the Whittier brewery so you have a lot of space to hang out and play some games (pinball or theirs board games to borrow from the bar) You can bring your dogs here as well which is nice since Whittier is lame and doesn't allow dogs at any of their parks. 5 stars!!! You can definitely order ahead for pick up or come in to the store. We typically have banana pudding everyday in stock. We also have a family size that can be pre order ahead of time.
