It's a cute little spot. I ordered a horchata Ube with a shot of espresso with oat milk. It was sooo good. I never tried horchata coffee before and makes me happy I was finally able to try it. The cinnamon flavor was so flavorful with the ube. I could drink this every single day. That's how good it was. I also got a bagel which was jalapeno cheddar and they warmed it up. All the flavors just don't really come through. You get a hint of each flavor. At $7.75 for a medium I feel like the quality should definitely be better. Once I got to just abt half of it all I could taste was all black coffee. It was the weirdest thing I had never experienced with any coffee. I couldn't even finish the drink. I have been coming to this spot since it opened and I would consider it a must spot to patron in Whittier. Their drinks are so delicious, coffee and non-coffee alike. Their pastries are a perfect sweet treat and they change periodically. They have several non-dairy options. The baristas are always friendly and polite and service is very fast - even when they are packed. The coffee bean itself is very good. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star and not a 5 is because the sweetness is not always consistent. Sometimes it is perfect, sometimes it is heavy. This café is a small Lil stand on Whittier Blvd next to the laundromat. It has outdoor seating and a few seats inside. I love the feel of it. Very comfy and homey feel. I will continue to stop here, even if it is a bit of a drive for me. read more

There's very minimal seating on the inside and outside, but it's a great hangout spot or somewhere to catch up. Just note that there isn't a restroom for customers. Happy Hour is 50% off from 4-7 PM. They have BOGO bagel deals on UE/DD. I tried the cafe latte with oat milk this time, and it was okay. I think it would have tasted better with a flavor shot. It was mostly milk, which I didn't mind, but I went home and added lavender to it. My partner got the cold brew with an added espresso shot, but it wasn't as strong as I expected it to be. The inside is small, so it feels cramped when a line starts to form. Also, it's hard to see the menu with all the deco in the way. I hope one day their horchata is veg*n-friendly! read more

If you don't mind a really sweet, then I'd recommend this drink. The Vanilla Latte had good flavor, wasn't overly sweet, and coffee didn't have a burned taste. I would recommend to order this. The Cake Pop was pretty average, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Wasn't bad but I'd probably pass on my next visit. Overall this is a great place to get coffee, the prices are similar to Starbucks but I think it is better. The drinks came out quick and the staff were friendly. Enjoy dinner in Pico Rivera, wanted some coffee afterwards, drove down to Whittier, only to check out this place because it offered Cold Brew Café de Olla. An hour before closing, only drive-through was open, not disappointed at all, the cold brew was excellent! I ordered the MUGS Mexican mocha, which was really good too. Customer Service was good. I was really disappointed with the customer service from the girls who helped me. I genuinely don't understand the unnecessary attitude and rudeness. Whatever happened to the days when good customer service meant being kind, welcoming, and respectful to customers? A little kindness and professionalism goes a long way. I even asked for the owner to give me a call back regarding my experience, and I never received one. That alone says a lot about how customer concerns are handled here. I was up early this morning and running errands. I found this small coffee shop in the area that has good reviews, so I decided to stop by to get some coffee. Drive thru is available. There is a small parking lot outside of this small coffee shop. However, it might be difficult to pull out your car when you leave due to the drive thru line is right behind the parking spots. My first impression was that the store was small, but cozy. There were some seats available inside and outside. This store also had a drive thru. I went around 11:30 am on a Sunday and it was busy both inside and in the drive-thru. I was debating on some drinks, so I asked the staff about the Banana Horchata Latte. The staff said it was generally sweet. With that in mind, I got it as a large with 50% sweetness. Overall, I felt I should have gotten this at 75% sweetness, since it was a bit lacking. You could still taste banana and horchata but it was a hint of it. The drink was 6.5/10, but I'd think it would be 8/10 if a bit sweeter. American Express is accepted. read more

I have heard so much recent discussion about Mugs Coffee Roasters-Whittier from both friends/family and from social media. So, we decided to give it a try on a recent Sunday morning. Ordering ahead on the Yelp app for store pick-up was very easy and much more convenient. The menu is extensive with so many selections to choose from. It's hard to make a decision. We finally decided on the options below: * Iced Blueberry Horchata Latte (Large) * Hot-MUGS Mexican Mocha (Large) The Mexican Mocha is by far the best with a nice, rich flavor that was perfect for Sunday morning. I had high hopes for the Iced Blueberry Horchata. I don't know why. Perhaps it was the name that drew me in. You can definitely see the blue color of the blueberry but it is a very subtle blueberry flavor. Since it is horchata, you have to make sure to stir the drink so that the ingredients don't settle at the bottom. The drink is not your typical super sweet horchata. Rather, it has more of an espresso flavor to it. It's definitely a pretty drink to look at. This location used to be the Chicken Koop that unfortunately closed around the time of the pandemic. Charming but small, I highly recommend that you order ahead to save time. Or, order ahead here and then move on down the street to Rodeo 72 for a hearty meal to compliment your coffee. It's also in the same lot as a laundromat, so customers there can always stop here for a little pick me up. The workers are super friendly. And the drinks are a little on the sweet side, but you can adjust the sweetness. They have options with no caffeine too. My husband loved the vanilla late and I enjoyed my strawberry horchata. Found this little gem and very happy we stopped by for a caffeine fix. Not many spots have great keto latte options and this one had a very good keto horchata latte option. We came in around noon, there were plenty of parking around. It is a very small area and cafe. They do have a patio to sit and enjoy the view of the hills and or traffic on the street. They do offer Drive thru That's amazing, they also offer items for those who are doing Keto. Drinks sweetened with Monkfruit! I was like Oh Em Gee! Where have you been all my life. As we entered the cafe We were greeted by a very friendly cashier Told her we are completely new and proceeded to help us out with so many amazing options.
