    Strawberry matcha and vanilla latte
    Ashley M.

I had a great experience for my first time here. My friend and I visited after a hike so a nice refreshing drink was just what we needed! It's a small coffee shop inside but it offers outdoor seating as well which I thought was nice and cute the way it's set up. The staff were friendly and welcoming which is something I look forward to especially when it's my first time visiting. I had the strawberry matcha and I would honestly rate it a 9/10 I live when my matcha tastes earthy and I enjoyed the strawberry flavor because it wasn't too sweet where all you taste is the syrup, I thought it was perfectly well made. The perfect blend of sweet and earthy!(: I do want to come back to try the pastries as they looked savory and delicious. The line for drive through was like a Starbucks line, packed but it moved fast.

Stopped by Mugs Coffee Roasters before work, and it's a great option if you need an early morning coffee since they're open early. They also have a drive-thru, which makes it super convenient when you're in a rush.I ordered the Banana Horchata Latte, and it was really good! The flavor was definitely there the banana and horchata paired really well without being overly sweet. My only small complaint is that it could've used a little more ice since it was a bit too warm for my liking. The location itself is pretty small, but it's easy to find, and the customer service was friendly and welcoming. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more of their drinks!

My boyfriend took me out for a coffee break, and we stumbled across this super cute spot! I ordered the iced caramel drizzle latte, and it was so good -- perfectly sweet and refreshing. The inside is adorable and cozy, making it a great place to relax, study, or catch up with someone. The service was also really nice, especially since it was our first time there. She gave us great suggestions and made us feel very welcome. Overall, such a great find, and we'll definitely be back!

Small local spot in Whittier. Very clean on the inside and outside. I've driven past this place plenty of times and have been wanting to give it a try. So today was the day. I ordered from the "popular" menu. I ordered a Iced Horchata Latte. I'm not sure what it was, but the first half of the drink it was nice and tasty. Perfect blend of sweet and coffee. Once I got to just abt half of it all I could taste was all black coffee. It was the weirdest thing I had never experienced with any coffee. I couldn't even finish the drink. I also ordered the Cheese jalapeño bagel which was just a decent bagel. Service was good. Maybe I'll give them another try if in the area.

I have been coming to this spot since it opened and I would consider it a must spot to patron in Whittier. Their drinks are so delicious, coffee and non-coffee alike. Their pastries are a perfect sweet treat and they change periodically. They have several non-dairy options. The baristas are always friendly and polite and service is very fast - even when they are packed. The coffee bean itself is very good. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star and not a 5 is because the sweetness is not always consistent. Sometimes it is perfect, sometimes it is heavy. This café is a small Lil stand on Whittier Blvd next to the laundromat. It has outdoor seating and a few seats inside. I love the feel of it. Very comfy and homey feel. I will continue to stop here, even if it is a bit of a drive for me.

    Drive thru

I've been to the San Dimas and La Verne locations but recently visited the Whittier location. Was happy to see there was a drive thru because parking isn't the most convenient. To no surprise, the coffee was amazing and customer service was top tier!! Thanks Mugs, you never miss!!

*Note: TDLR at the end of the review Banana Horchata Latte: 5/10 The banana tasted pretty artificial and I think they use 2% milk. Espresso isn't super strong, but it was decently priced. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again. Service: 10/10 They were super super friendly and definitely bring the energy. Great customer service Ambiance: 8/10 It's super cute!! There's very minimal seating on the inside and outside, but it's a great hangout spot or somewhere to catch up. Just note that there isn't a restroom for customers. There's not a lot of parking, but there is a drive thru if you're looking for something convenient. TDLR: A very cute spot to hangout or catch up. Minimal seating. No restrooms. Drive-thru available. Minimal parking. Do not recommend for studying that requires electronics. There are no outlets. Good for sketching though!

Happy Hour is 50% off from 4-7 PM. They have BOGO bagel deals on UE/DD. I tried the cafe latte with oat milk this time, and it was okay. I think it would have tasted better with a flavor shot. It was mostly milk, which I didn't mind, but I went home and added lavender to it. My partner got the cold brew with an added espresso shot, but it wasn't as strong as I expected it to be. The inside is small, so it feels cramped when a line starts to form. Also, it's hard to see the menu with all the deco in the way. I hope one day their horchata is veg*n-friendly!

I ordered the Neapolitan Latte, Vanilla Latte, and a Cake Pop The Neapolitan Latte was good but it was overly sweet for me. There was no burned flavor which is a sign of good coffee. If you don't mind a really sweet, then I'd recommend this drink. The Vanilla Latte had good flavor, wasn't overly sweet, and coffee didn't have a burned taste. I would recommend to order this. The Cake Pop was pretty average, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Wasn't bad but I'd probably pass on my next visit. Overall this is a great place to get coffee, the prices are similar to Starbucks but I think it is better. The drinks came out quick and the staff were friendly. Ambiance is casual, limited seating inside, this wouldn't be my first choice to study since there's no outlets.

Enjoy dinner in Pico Rivera, wanted some coffee afterwards, drove down to Whittier, only to check out this place because it offered Cold Brew Café de Olla. An hour before closing, only drive-through was open, not disappointed at all, the cold brew was excellent! I ordered the MUGS Mexican mocha, which was really good too. Customer Service was good. See you next time we're in the area!

Drinks were very delicious and there was a wide variety of things to choose from, which I really liked. Ambiance was nice inside and staff were very helpful with recommending different drinks and pastries!

Mission Statement: At MUGS Coffee Roasters we love two things great Coffee and helping Dogs! We roast coffee weekly to ensure that we provide the best tasting drinks to our customers. We also donate to no kill animal organizations every month because its something we hold near and dear to our hearts. Current Promotions: 50% every day between 4pm-7pm (Happy Hour). If I lived/worked near the area, I would be there every day! :) Background On Visit: Needed a caffeine boost after attending a viewing at Rose Hills. Thought to myself that this place would be a great place to go if we were in the area. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restrooms: There's no restrooms. Location/Parking: Major cross streets are Whittier Ave. and Glengarry. There is parking in their private lot. Ambiance/Decor: Small little shop with minimal modern furnishings. There's also a outdoor patio and a drive thru if you don't want to get out of the car. Service: Service was great. Barista was friendly, attentive, and engaging. She was very informative about the shop and their other location in San Dimas. Drink came out at a decent time. Drink Of Choice: 1) Drip Coffee: Solid! Very good! 3) Mocha Latte: Mmmmmmm! Nice chocolatey flavor! Mugs Coffee For Thought: Will visit again and so should you! :)

I was up early this morning and running errands. I found this small coffee shop in the area that has good reviews, so I decided to stop by to get some coffee. Drive thru is available. There is a small parking lot outside of this small coffee shop. However, it might be difficult to pull out your car when you leave due to the drive thru line is right behind the parking spots. It was not the perfect set up. I ordered an Iced banana horchata latte and MUGS Mexican mocha. The drinks came out with perfect sweetness and flavorful. The coffee has strong flavor. They were not watery at all. This coffee shop is pet friendly, and I saw dog owners brought their dogs with them. Will come by again for coffee if I am in the area.

The coffee was alright, wouldn't come back the beans tasted over roasted. The line was long so I had high expectations but was disappointed.

The horchata latte was a standout -- smooth, comforting, and nicely balanced with just the right amount of cinnamon sweetness. I also tried the almond croissant, which was flaky and satisfying, making it a solid pastry to pair with the drinks. Overall, Mobar Coffee is a great spot if you're looking for inventive flavors and something a little outside the box. I'd definitely come back to try more of their specialty drinks.

I have been on a quest to try different coffee spots in my surrounding areas, but this spot may bring me to a halt (lol). I didn't realize this little spot was here until a few weeks ago that my husband and I stopped by the brewery (after many times) to watch a game and have a few drinks. That's when we noticed the coffee bar. Service was friendly and they do have a good selection to choose from. I stopped on a Friday morning for fuel (coffee) before running errands, and went with the strawberry horchata cold foam. I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfect and not overly sweet. I also got a pistachio crescent, warm, and was delicious. I stopped by the following morning, and went with the pumpkin spice chai latte, which was perfect! And pistachio crescent to share with my son, which he ended up taking, despite him not having a sweet tooth for baked goodies like I do. Highly recommend this little spot!!

A Welcome Addition to West Whittier…read more I visit this Philz Coffee location whenever I'm back in town visiting family, and it has consistently been a great experience. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and they're especially helpful when I have questions about the menu. I don't actually purchase coffee that often. When I do, it's usually either Philz or a local mom-and-pop coffee shop/hole-in-the-wall. So whenever I walk into a Philz, there's usually something new for me to try or ask about. On my most recent visit, I also realized I had somehow created two Philz accounts. After placing my order, I asked the cashier if they could be merged, and they kindly provided me with the appropriate customer service email rather than leaving me to figure it out myself. I also asked about their cold brew. I ordered my usual Honey Haze, but I wanted to treat my grandmother to a coffee as well. She loves coffee and drinks it black -- usually a medium roast that she brews in a big batch at home. The cashier recommended the Mission Cold Brew, so I decided to give it a try for her. I delivered it to my grandmother later that day, knowing she would probably save it for the next morning since caffeine too late in the day can interfere with her sleep. I followed up with her the next day, and she loved it! That recommendation definitely earned some points with both of us. The Whittier location is consistently clean, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and I appreciate having Philz as another coffee option in West Whittier and The Groves Whittier. It's always nice when a new addition to the neighborhood actually feels like a welcome one.

LFTD recently made an announcement that they are being evicted by their landlord and will close…read moredown this brick-and-mortar location by the end of this year (December 29th, 2025). A week before the announcement was made, I came here to try their famous blue tortilla breakfast burrito. [Parking]: There's a free public parking structure located one block away from the coffee shop (6738 Comstock Ave, Whittier, CA 90601). [Atmosphere]: Super crowded on Sunday & I was not able to find a place to sit. I ultimately ordered my breakfast burrito to-go. They also have a section of cafe that sell vintage clothing. [Menu]: For the signature breakfast burrito, they actually have 6 options - classic breakfast burritos (bacon - $16.50), Prime Steak (grass-fed prime steak $20.50), the Ultimate Burrito (grass-fed prime steak + avocado + bacon), Chilaquiles ($15.50), Chorizo ($16.00), and Vegan ($16.00). They also sell their cold brew cafe de olla in giant plastic bags that look like IV drip bags at the refrigerated section. [Ordering]: Customers can order at the cashier counter or order via kiosk (they use Toast). I reviewed their breakfast burrito options at 12 PM and they ran out of classic breakfast burrito. I ended up with prime steak breakfast burrito instead. Unfortunately I waited 45 minutes before they had my order ready and I could tell other customers were not too patient with their orders as they kept walking up to the pick-up counter & checked the ordering status. *** Prime Steak Breakfast Burrito (grass fed prime steak, scrambled egg, Monterey Jack cheese, crema, pico de gallo, tri-colored peppers, hash browns - $20.50): Unlike other breakfast burrito I have had at other places, this breakfast burrito had blue tortilla. The portion was a bit smaller than I expected, but chewy steak + crispy hash browns + roasted peppers + red salsa = one delicious and s-tier tasting breakfast burrito. *** While LFTD serves one of the best 5-star worthy breakfast burritos I have ever had in LA + Orange County, I have to take off a star due to extremely long wait time on food order. Please do yourself a favor and place an online order at least 30 minutes ahead of time if you want to try their breakfast burritos ( https://www.toasttab.com/local/order/lift-6701-greenleaf-ave ).
