I made an appt yesterday for 8am today at this clinic for what I think is a hernia. I arrived at 7:57, doors locked so I sat on the bench outside. At 8am, a front desk worker opened the door and informed me the provider was running late due to traffic and something about other clinics being closed. She said she would bring me back when he arrived, and closed and locked the door, leaving me to wait outside. 10 mins later she opened the door again and said he wouldn't arrive until 8:20-8:30 and she would update my appt and that I could go to the coffee shop next door. She would not let me wait inside the clinic. She said she would call me when he arrived. I went to wait in my car. At 8:35am I went back to the clinic and the door was locked. She came to the door and said the provider was still not there and I asked to use the bathroom. When I was finished she escorted me out, again not letting me wait in the clinic. I told her I had a 9am work meeting and she offered to reschedule me. I said no, and went back to wait in my car. At 8:45 I decided enough was enough and tried to call clinic and cancel as I didn't want to walk back over there from the parking lot. The number routed to the main patient service office and I told them what was happening. The man was very nice and very surprised. He put me on hold and called the clinic. When he came back on the line, he told me they said they informed me of the situation and that the provider was coming from Newberg because the some clinics were closed. What difference does that make? We all have GPS and we all know what time we need to be places - not to mention AT AN URGENT CARE CLINIC. I asked him to please cancel and I would go to the ER. The clinic called me at 8:51am and told me the provider had arrived. I told them I had cancelled through patient services and she said I was still on the schedule. I told her no, I do not want to see anyone as this experience has been unacceptable. I'm betting they send me a no-show fee. DO NOT GO HERE under ANY circumstances. read more

I received excellent care today. Dr. Daniel Miller was professional, kind, and truly attentive - he listened carefully and made me feel well cared for. I was very satisfied with the visit. There was almost no wait in the reception area, and all necessary tests were done right on site. I would definitely recommend this office and will continue using their services when needed. read more

I was treated by Tina for a sudden loss of hearing in one ear. She said I had a lot of fluid in my ear and to use a nasal spray. I went to my primary care the next morning and she said no, I didn't have fluid, and said I needed to see an ENT immediately, which she got set up for a few hours later. ENT said treatment was needed asap to have any hopes of gaining hearing back. And they told me there wasn't fluid, and that you can't even see that with a regular ear exam. Had I waited and just done what Tina told me, I would have lost precious time to regain my hearing. I would not go back. read more

My husband called before we got there and told them I was dehydrated and that I have bronchitis. They said to come on in. I was very weak and could hardly walk. First thing is the lady behind the giant glass wall that was also wearing a mask and spoke so quiet We couldn't hear her - frustrating!! I went back to the room where they took my BP and temp. Then she said you need to drink fluids you are dehydrated and take something for the coughs. No kidding - thats why I came in so that I could get an IV with fluids. Oh we dont do that here. Why did I come in? So that they could tell me what I need to do. OMG!!! We left and went to St Vincent where I was given IV fluids, and two types of meds so that I could help loosen the mucus and have productive coughs. They said I had a severe case of bronchitis. read more

Been here twice recently--I live in the neighborhood so I can walk to this location. The medical assistants are always super friendly and quick getting me seated. I feel like the providers here spend more time with me than my PCP and make sure all of my questions are answered. It is a quiet little office and I love that I can easily book same day appointments online. Both recent visits have required prescriptions sent to a pharmacy and I get texts an hour later to pick up. 100% recommend going here if you want a quick and painless urgent care visit! read more

Don't believe the Providence website for this location at Orenco regarding covid testing, they are not doing any covid testing unless you were referred by a physician as told to me today It is shameful that the Providence website and all the other medical institutions websites are so grossly uninforming to the consumer patient. What is not helpful is there is a dangerous variety spreading and people can't get access to tests in Portland and Oregon. The girls at the desk are unfriendly, borderline accused me of lying. read more

Read carefully...if you are considering coming here for care. Leave, run out, or cancel your appointment at this location because you would be better off going to a local pharmacy and speaking with a pharmacist for care and proper over the counter medication than coming here. This is embarrassing for me to inform you all reading this because of how I was mistreated here but I am doing it to prevent further damage to anyone by not recommending this place. So far, Ashleigh the young Medical Assistant wearing a nose ring, who was working the front desk was extremely rude for telling me to leave and lacked the proper customer service of greeting me as I walked in to be treated for a cold. There was only one other person in the waiting room. We smiled at each other. I asked the Medical Assistant, Ashleigh how long it would take to be seen and she told me one hour and that I could keep the appointment and come back or wait here. I said I would wait. Then asked if my address was correct and I told her that I have a different mailing address. Ashleigh rolled her eyes and retype what she already typed. Ashleigh was mean and gave off a very bad vibe of not wanting to be there. I understand that things happen in everyone's life but she had no right to tell me that I was being rude to her when I was not and refusing me service to be seen when I'm not feeling well which goes into detail in the next paragraph. The only conclusion I can think of since I was not rude to her is that Ashleigh must be a racist. Ashleigh told me that the other patient in the room stated that I was rude to her but that isn't true because when that patient came out we smiled at each other again and I kindly asked her if I did anything rude to her. She said "Not At All. And by the way, your service dog is adorable!" Then the Physician Assistant, Chris who had a loud voice interrupted us and told me not to talk to her then that patient just looked oddly at her and walked out. I wanted to let her know that Ashleigh B. told me she said that about me. Even if she did state that to Ashleigh about me, it is a hearsay, immature and extremely unprofessional thing to state about a patient about another patient that was told in confidentiality. At that point, Chris comes out and tells me she wants me to speak to Daniel, the nurse manager who is a real professional and was willing to hear all sides. She passes the phone to me with him and I explain what happened about being told by Ashleigh B. to leave and they " ...don't treat rude people ." Ashleigh B. in a high and mean voice, told me this not once but twice immediately repeating herself as if I don't understand English. He will be reviewing the video as I suggested to prove my innocence of no rude behavior. I never got to complete my call with Daniel because Chris, the Physician Assistant took charge of our call. Chris tried to be professional by seeing me but definitely needs more training on how to check in patients since Ashleigh refused to do her job in checking me in. Chris told me that Ashleigh was crying in a room because she felt threatened by me. However, I never saw her tear up and she was laughing at me in a cynical manner so I don't believe she cried afterwards. We all have Patient Rights and making a complaint on someone is not a threat nor should be thought of as one. A good Medical Assistant should not be emotional and must remain professional at all times. She is a liability to Providence in my opinion. I never did get a copy of my Privacy Notice like I requested and the response told to me by Chris is, " Hold on and stop interrupting me because I don't know what I'm doing here at this computer." I will notify Providence of this incident and it hopefully will not be ignored. Ashleigh needs to be terminated in my opinion but there's policies and I'm hoping she get some serious customer training and put on some written probation. And the Physician Assistant needs to be crossed trained in how to run the front office too in case she ever needs to check in a patient. There's no excuse not being able to check in a patient or even take vitals for that when working for Providence. This place needs new staff. Ashleigh is being creepy now reading my reviews and even marking this review as "funny" and another. She should get a mental evaluation since she seems to it's okay to still harass me. I had to go there to inform office manager to let her know no contact with me of any kind. read more

If you are out with friends in a strange city and you perhaps have one too many then piggy back a friend down the sidewalk, trip and fall flat on your forehead, 100% go to Keely and Kelly at Providence Express Care, Orenco. Actually, I bet they would be just as amazing no matter what the circumstance is. And if you must bring 4 loud, funny people with you, this is ok. Keely and Kelly have the best attitudes and could dish as well as take. They made me feel comfortable when I was apprehensive about being judged (I'm too old to behave this way !), and so kind, understanding and gentle with my wound. Next time I'm in Portland and have tooooo many I know where to go! Haha read more

I was in so much pain, and the kindness I received meant so much. Dr. Nicole Briggs was incredibly understanding and soothing, as I was really scared and hurting. She made sure I was as comfortable as possible and did a great job walking me through a painful process. I was seen quickly and felt very taken care of. I was in and out in an hour. This clinic is good for some things and very bad for other things. They are good at finding something wrong with you and sending you to their hospitals where they will make thousands of dollars, which happened to me. And when I finally arrived to the hospital and going through a myriad of tests, I was given Tylenol, which worked. That was the most expensive Tylenol I ever had, thousands of dollar. To some extent, doctors are in a bind because if they do not follow the protocol they have to follow, they are fired. The whole medical system sux, and do not be fooled, they will eliminate you. This review is not reflective of their care but rather their management, which leaves a lot to be desired. I had been to this Orenco location before, as a walk-in patient. They took me and treated me. The care I received was good. Another time, I took my Mom there and she was also taken and seen as a walk-in. Today I went there to be seen, once again as a walk-in. The waiting room was empty. The NP and a receptionist were sitting at the front. The office was completely quite. I told them why I wanted to be seen and they told me they didn't accept walk-ins. What???? How come they accepted walk-ins before?? Again, they didn't appear to be busy, and it didn't appear that anyone else was anywhere else in the office. They told me I could make an appointment for later in the afternoon. Nothing on their door or signage states anything about requiring appointments. read more

It was super easy to schedule an appointment online and I was seen immediately. The staff were super helpful and provided me with exactly what I needed, and Ashleigh did the best blood draw of my entire life, no joke. I am terrified of needles and she took two vials before I even had time to feel it. I will definitely be back again in the future! read more

I have a huge irrational fear of going to any medical professional, due to personal reasons. So I will only go when absolutely necessary. I woke up today with terrible back pain, went to work and fought it until I couldn't anymore. Went home and laid on my back scrolling for help on the internet. Good service that was quick, effective, and affordable. My suggestion would be to have a more welcoming front desk staff and the ability for walk-ins as I was told I have to schedule ahead of time. I thought that was odd especially given it was a ghost town inside when I showed up for a walk in at 1:00pm. However, once inside for my scheduled appointment via their website at 5:00pm, my care was superb. I am glad they are there but they do have a few kinks to work out to gain a 5 star review. read more
