Took them a week to call me back to tell me they needed my other doctor to order it. They said once it is ordered, they would schedule me. They ordered it promptly. I called them to let them know it was ordered and was told someone would call me back. No one called for over a week, so I called again. About a week later I got a call saying they didn't think it was the proper MRI scheduled, so I made sure and it was. I called again and they said the scheduler would call me back. It has now been almost 3 weeks, so I called yesterday and the person on the phone said someone would call me for sure yesterday. No call. I am done. He might be a good doc, but his staff are not doing their job.

I am only 5 days out from having a…read moreL4/L5 laminectomy with fusion at UW Medicine Northwest Hospital where my care was excellent, & my perspective at this point seem to be consistent with expectations that I was told. I was discharged Wednesday with a prescription of OxyContin covering (Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday) running out midday Saturday. They told me that I needed to call for a refill if I was going to runout during the weekend. My Costco pharmacy is closed Sundays, so I called Thursday figuring Costco would receive the prescription Friday or Saturday. I waited until Saturday to call the pharmacy, & they had received an order for NALOXONE, but none for OxyContin. They said they often get prescriptions for NALOXONE with OxyContin, but that they didn't get a prescription for OxyContin. Dr. Lazar's office is closed on the weekend, so I can't call them until Monday morning after 9AM (& when I do call them) Costco probably won't be able to fill my prescription until late Monday/early Tuesday. So, I count my remaining number of tablets....14. My prescription was for 42 over 3 1/2 days, so I have enough for 15 hrs. I will be OUT tomorrow morning at 9AM. I have decided to cut my dosage in half, figuring that taking a little over 3 days is better than just stopping after 1 day. This is probably an over site on whomever entered the order, but it affects me more you might understand. 1/2 dose isn't nearly enough, now everything I do is with a lot of pain. I'm supposed to be walking around, but I'm very reluctant as everything I do is even more painful than when I was taking full dosage. This is the third time where something or someone from Dr. Lazar's office hasn't properly informed me correctly of something or whom hasn't followed through with making sure that a communication with my PCP and/or my insurance company. It took 3 weeks of me calling back & forth to my PCP's office & my insurance company before getting an authorization for surgery.....meanwhile I'm in pain waiting for a call. each time I had to initiate phone calls to try to figure out what happened.

I have been going here for six years and I hope I never have to go anywhere else. I have very complex health needs and I always know I will be treated kindly and with respect by everybody here -- doctors, nurses, staff, lab technicians, everybody. The integration with my specialists is terrific. I feel like my entire care team here and at the rest of UW are connected and can help in treating me holistically, not just looking at numbers and stats.

Do NOT ever let them record you for their notes because those notes and imformation can be seen by the billing department so not sure how they can violate Hepa but everyone does. Also, if the doctor asks you a question or notices something they just randomly mark it down as a diagnosis and then they bill you more as complex. For example, if you have acne but you came in for another reason and the doctor asks if you have acne and you say - I don't want to be treated for it - literally you say that, they can then write down a diagnosis of acne in your chart and charge you more for the visit. I don't think if the doctor notices something like that which you don't want to be treated for that they have the right to diagnose you without telling you. Make sure if you get asked to tell them that you don't want a "diagnosis". I feel like they are looking for diagnoses to make you complex case. I do not take any medications and have no chronic conditions but somehow UW Med says I am "complex" but no other doctor's practice has ever said that. Be very aware of what you say and what they write down is my recommendation.

Seattle Children's Hospital ER -- A Cut Above the Rest…read more You know that Shawn Mendes song "stitches?" Well, my kid needed five stitches, and this place had us in stitches the whole time. Needle-ss to say, I was on pins and needles when we arrived, but the staff really sutured everything up nicely. Then I scrolled the room's movie list and found Lilo & Stitch sitting right there. Five stitches and Stitch, available on demand? I'd have been a fool not to take that opportunity. Whoever curated that library understands the assignment. Ohana means nobody gets left with an open wound. They also came through with a little diazepam to take the edge off, and let me tell you -- Diaze-Pam deserves top billing right alongside Lilo and Stitch. Pam clocked in and the whole room relaxed. Not on the staff roster, but she should be. We went in tense and came out totally Zen. That's not a chill pill, that's a chill plan. The care was seamless. They kept the oxygen sensor on my kiddo's finger the whole visit instead of grabbing a new one -- talk about keeping tabs on your patients while cutting waste. These folks really know how to monitor a situation. Every question we asked, they answered -- no one ever left us hanging by a thread. They tucked my little one in with a blanket and adjusted the bed tilt until it was juuust right. Great bedside manner, and an even better bed-tilt manner. Honestly, the whole staff deserves a raise... of the bed. And the promised orange popsicle? Delivered. Orange you glad they keep those stocked. It was the coolest part of the visit -- hands down, sticks up. But they didn't stop there -- once it was all over, they sent us off with pudding, apple juice, animal crackers, AND string cheese, for both of us. The proof was in the pudding, the service was apple-solutely top notch, and the animal crackers meant we were officially crackers about this place. As for the string cheese -- no strings attached, they just wanted to make sure we were happy. Parking was easy too, which is rare for a hospital. Usually finding a spot is the most painful part of the visit, but not a spot of trouble here. They've really patched that up. A stitch in time saves nine, and I'm just glad we stopped at five. Would I come back? I hope we don't NEED to -- but if we do, I wouldn't want to be seen anywhere else. Five stitches, five stars. They mended my kid AND my faith in healthcare. The doctor always took plenty of time with me. She listened to my symptoms carefully. She gave me thoughtful treatment and advise. She listened to my concerns and adjusted the treatments appropriately, choosing more conservative approaches. She took time to answer my many questions. While medical care always seems incomprehensibly expensive to me these days, UW was pretty reasonable compared to other providers I've visited in the Pacific NW. They didn't overcharge, or charge for services I wasn't sure I received, or schedule more office visits than I felt were needed. Billing has been clear and accurate. It's easy to make appointments. Usually can get in pretty quickly.

I came here after Edmonds Swedish Urgent Care was dismissive of my request, per my oncologist, to get a Covid test to confirm my positive home-test and get treatment due to being high-risk (I'm stage 4 cancer). I left there after the front desk lady said, "We don't give confirmation covid tests," and continued to dismiss me without even asking me any questions or talking with me. That's when I drove to Evergreen on 214th. At Evergreen, everything was great from when I walked in to when I left! The desk gal was kind and efficient, greeting me nicely and asking questions about how I was feeling, and what I needed, then getting me in quickly. The nurse was warm and knowledgeable, explaining what things might go into considering if they did a covid confirmation test or provided treatment with Paxlovid. Then the doctor was fantastic - a kind and intelligent woman with long red hair and an authentic aura about her. She asked about my situation and cared about my immune-suppressed state. The Evergreen doctor ordered a Covid nose swab and discussed other things they might do to help with the symptoms she asked about and be sure my weakened immune system was supported. She even helpfully explained that I likely wouldn't get a fever with Covid because my cancer drugs keep my immune system from being able to fight back as well against sickness (and fevers are the body fighting infection or virus). I left feeling well-cared for, knowing they'd contact me shortly with test results and be sending a Paxlovid prescription to my local pharmacy if needed and likely an antibiotic to be sure they shored up my compromised immune system as much as possible. All in all a fabulous contrast to what I experienced at Edmonds Swedish Urgent Care! I highly recommend Evergreen near 527 and 208th St SE!

Came in to have my knee looked at, as its been bothering me for weeks after I apparently injured…read moreit. My primary care physician had recommended Dr. Gregush, it took a few weeks to get an appt. This location occupies what used to be their primary care location, which has now moved across the lobby. I was quickly checked, thanks to the fact that I had updated all the info in MyChart. I only had to wait a couple minutes to get called in. They have xray stuff right there, and they did that in a jiffy. Nice not to have to go to an external location! Anyway, after that, I was put in the exam room, and Dr Gregush apperaed. He listened attentively and took copious notes. My knee had slowly been getting better. He reviewed my xrays and pointed out that he saw no signs of arthritis, as I still had plenty of cusiong between the bones. He did some physical exams, determined where my pain points are, and surmised that I likely had a minor tear of the miniscus, and he kindly explained all the details of how that works. He gave me some treatment options, and one was to 'see if it keeps improving, if not, send a note in MyChart and we'll order an MRI and likely have some minor arthroscopic surgery" - which I decided to do. Staff super efficient, clean comy waiting areas, and the best Doctor. I'd highly recommend.

I left thinking this would be a 5 star review Cons: They lied about the cost of service and their billing department said there is nothing I can do about it. They offered me and my son a covid test and inquired about my insurance to "make sure it would cover it". I told them my insurance and asked about the cost - I even joked "I could test myself for $20 by hitting the pharmacy on the way home." I was ensured it "wouldn't cost more than that" - In the end both my son and I were charged $329 for the test.
