I came in for help with computer questions and Katelyn Holscher, the operations manager, took the time to explain my concerns and fix my problems, and go the extra mile with a smile. The Bank closed my account for $1.45. Caitlin came into a conversation the manager was not helping my understanding how do I get my account reopened. Caitlin was professional, helpful and let me know the process. A male bank teller was rude and condescending. When I went to reopen my account Haley J. Helped me, very helpful, well informed, she walked me through the whole process fixing a few thing. She is very efficient, her language was was not over my knowledge. Usually this branch is good. Today they were terribly horribly S L O W. Three people behind the glass and only two helping customers with one in the business section sitting forever not sure about this location. I hope the service here gets better. What to say about this bank! We recently relocated to MoVal and needed a new bank. So my husband and I figured we would give Provident a try since we Are not interested in big banks. Everything was fine when opening our account they even let us open our account with our old address as the address on file. With the understanding that we would bring in updated address info. So come to find out the branch manager did not approve our account with the outside address and closed our account without notifying us at all! Then sent our money we used to open the account to our old address! Ughhhhhhh the incompetence of this bank is my reason for the one star!!!!!!! read more

The bank tellers were so rude I closed my account. They didn't allow me to deposit my paycheck after banking with them for 11 years it was all new faces. She said let me ask my manager then they all looked over and me, and then she came back and said ," I'm sorry you're going to have to come back tomorrow ". The people at this bank are great. I had an access issue with my account mostly in part of Covid. There isn't any playbook for these issues as we all didn't see this coming. Can I just give a shout out to Provident Bank in Moreno Valley? We have been banking with them for about 30 years. We have always had A-one service. It's nice to walk in the bank and have people know you by name. We recently had to open a Trust account. I called the manager today (9-14-18) in order to recognize the employee, Jessica Lopez, that assisted my mother and myself yesterday. She patiently listened to the concern/problem that existed, checked the records and found what needed to be corrected. She drew up new documents and everything was re-signed by my mother and myself. Then, she made photocopies of the documents so I would have them for my records. But most importantly, she agreed to let my 89 year old mother remain in the car (so as to not drag out a wheelchair and help her up!) and assist her with the necessary signatures at carside. I also appreciated Jessica asking me how to pronounce her last name before we got to the car so as to greet her correctly. Thank you, Jessica, for a job well done! read more

Be Cautious of this bank! I tried to close my account and they decided that I didn't close it quick enough and now want to charge me an overdraft fee. They, in my opinion are not helpful to this once and never again customer. read more

My husband needed to make a withdrawl from a special account here on 2-10 and after the waiting period subsequently was called by a Provident employee to pick up a check that was said to be ready for my husband that day at the Provident Moreno Valley branch. My husband did not ask for the Provident employee caller's name, just said he would come right down and pick up the check. When he arrived, the teller farthest to the right was rude and said there was no check. When my husband explained that the check was supposed to be ready for him, she looked everywhere in the office and then said, "There's no check!" giving him an askance and ugly look. Then the teller to the right of her who was there with no customers the whole time she went looking for the check, finally pointed at a far corner and said, "Oh, it's over there." He had said nothing at all when he heard my husband come in asking for it , and said nothing while the other clerk looked everywhere in the office. He had no customers during that time. Neither were friendly to my husband. No one apologized for the misunderstanding. Ironically, we had been considering moving money into an account there. At least it made the decision so easy, we won't be giving them any more business. The previous manager from Colorado was really nice. A sad change for the worse. read more
