My first discussion with Abe was April 2018, contract signed July 26, 2019, final invoice was September 21, 2021 and on May 3, 2021 punch list was still going on. I rented an apartment for 3 months nearby. This renovation took many more months and years to complete a simple bathroom and kitchen remodel. Originally when I hired PROYECTO they were a Design and Build firm. I thought that having both designer and builder in-house would create a smooth process. What I didn't know was the designer was not in-house but contracted per job. The Abe's proposal allowed for minimal design hours for a bath and kitchen remodel that was no way sufficient and required considerable out of pocket payout for further consultation. And then the designer disappeared mid-project. Requiring everyone to scramble to solve unanticipated design issues. A kitchen sink faucet didn't fit properly and required me to research for one that did. Kitchen ceiling lights did not following the blueprint drawings, Bathroom overhead fixture upside down, Bathroom medicine cabinet flopped incorrectly. The quartz sink rim chipped that was supposed to be burnished, but didn't happen. Hardware chipped that I had to point out. Bathroom shower mismatched tile. The list goes on and on. The responsibility kept falling on me and it was exhausting. I thought I hired a top notch firm and that wasn't the case. What I didn't realize was PROYECTO hired Sub-Contractors. So between the sub-contractors, the revolving door of project managers and contractors, it was no wonder the project took longer to complete and faulty workmanship. Frankly I believe PROYECTO was spread too thin and had too many projects they were managing. Maybe mine being the smallest got the least attention? Yes Covid happen, however that doesn't mean that a professional construction firm can't uphold high standards. Although Abe was sympathetic he continued to send invoices and get payed per the contract. Frankly I should have gotten a huge discount for my mental anguish and frustration. Went through 2-3 different project managers and contractors. Often I felt I was haggling to get details taken care of that were not industry standards. Such as holes in cabinets or plaster residue in corners that should have been crisp. Paint splatter on baseboard, poor skim coating. A sink hose that isn't attached properly. The list goes on and on. An example of poor workmanship was a plumber they hired. Late Friday afternoon I left my rental apartment to do a check up on the progress. Glad I did because I discovered a pool of water in the basement where upstairs the sink plumbing was unattached allowing water to leak from the 3rd floor to the basement. Which required hallway walls re-plastered and rugs cleaned from debris. Keys to my apartment that was in a lock box went missing, requiring all new locks to be made. Still to this day there are issues that you either just let slide or fix on your own. The only thing I can say is that throughout out the process everyone from Abe down to Caitlin, Manuel, and the various players, all were pleasant. The workers were pleasant. I just wished the workmanship would of been better and that there was more attention to details.

**AMAZING company rant** We ALL know home construction projects can be a major hassle, never finish on schedule and over budget AND service can be questionable..... WELL NOT WITH PROYECTO! They were AMAZING from A-Z. From the first meeting with Abe to the planning sessions with the design/project manager teams (Audrey and Brian) and architects to meeting with Juan and ALL the employees who worked so hard to make my dream kitchen come true. And they completed the project ON TIME....YES I said on time. They were always available, friendly, kind, respectful, and willing to address any concerns. I never thought I would enjoy a construction project this much. Previous projects were NOT fun BUT with Proyecto it was a partnership and a very enjoyable experience. I wish I had found my way to them sooner.

I've had the pleasure of collaborating with Proyecto, as a photographer, documenting some of their completed projects. The attention to detail and superb craftsmanship of their work never ceases to amaze me. At many of the homes I've photographed, the owners were present and couldn't say enough good things about Abe and his team. The homeowners and I agree that Abe is quick to reply, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. On my next upgrade/renovation I won't hesitate to ask Proyecto's team to make my designs a reality.

small space, but we found a way to do it. They pay good attention to detail.

Thanks to Proyecto my bathroom finally got it's makeover. I have been really impressed with the workmanship and professionalism of Abe and his team. From start to finish everything went very smoothly. Abe gave a bid that was appropriate for the job, Audrey was super helpful in guiding me through the design phase and Juan, Brayan and Brandon kept to the schedule and did a superior job. Great attention to all the details and they never grew impatient with my many questions and suggestions. The communication was key. They seemed to genuinely enjoy doing a great job and take pride in their work. Highly recommended!

    Our renovated kitchen

We had a good experience working with Abe, Juan and the entire Proyecto team on a multi-month project (adding a new bathroom and completely renovating our existing bathroom and kitchen). We're extremely happy with the final results -- everything looks and feels great. We highly recommend Proyecto and they'd be our first call if we had another project to do ourselves. Abe and the team were communicative and responsive, with a consistently upbeat attitude and can-do approach (which goes a long way in a project like this!). We live in a multi-unit building, and they established friendly, productive working relationships with our neighbors too. Abe was also a helpful consultant and sounding board in the design process as we decided which materials and fixtures to use. Completing the project successfully ended up requiring slightly more project management from us than we anticipated and there were several (seemingly avoidable) hiccups along the way. We recommend having clear, well-documented plans up front and paying careful attention to the finishing details. The Proyecto team is extremely responsive to feedback and we found that they cared just as much as we did about getting things right. We couldn't be happier with the results!

Proyecto opened up the kitchen wall and built a new wall to create a connection between the kitchen and the backyard.

Proyecto did a beautiful job converting a big ugly room in our house into a laundry room/extension of the kitchen and a lovely bedroom with a walk-in closet. Every detail is meticulous: the newly laid hardwood floors perfectly match the rest of the house; the floating shelves were invisibly pegged into the wall; the custom cabinets around the relocated washer and dryer make doing laundry a pleasure. The product is impressive, and the process was just as good. What a responsive, prompt, friendly team! They were so fun to work with, and they got the job done right on schedule and on budget. And a few weeks later, after they'd been paid, I noticed that there was a little problem with the new door handle - one of them was there first thing the next morning and it was fixed in a few minutes. I wish I could give them six stars! Hire them!

Overall the experience was very good; Elijah and Bryan were super friendly and responsive. Eli was very patient and accommodating as we discussed several different potential change orders, from new windows to painting, to other misc. things that popped up. Bryan Luna was especially a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and proactivity to solve any little thing I mentioned was definitely the highlight of working with Prime. Their contracted electrician, Hector, was great as well. I also think they did a great job building out a cabinet to fit our freezer next to the matching fridge. Their master carpenter managed to salvage our existing wood to make it match perfectly. Definitely better than what I'd expect from even a carpentry specialty contractor. I will mention that it wasn't without some snags. Prime deals in volume so they're very busy. I think because I had delays in sourcing a freezer I ended up not getting a dedicated project manager for some time. We had timeline issues made worse with holidays. This caused cascading delays which inevitably pushed back my move in date a few weeks. When I finally did get a new project manager, they ghosted me (later on I found out they had a family emergency). Eli had to step in again to help. Another thing is that their pricing is quite opaque. The estimate will break down prices by milestones, but they repeated told me that it's not a valuation of the milestone itself. This made it nigh impossible to understand if I wanted to contract out specific pieces of the project (e.g. flooring). Design was OK. I felt that the designer was very busy. Sometimes very responsive (5min replies), sometimes not responsive at all (no reply). I wish I had a better, more thorough back-and-forth session about the intricacies of the design. But we made do. Ultimately, the designer made a render and helped point us to some vendors, but from there we had to make our own selection alone (cabinets, handles, pendant lights, faucets, etc.). I did appreciate her presence when we picked out countertops, though. All in all, I think this was a 4.5 star job, but I'm rounding to 5 because of Eli and Bryan :)

There have been multiple unresolved issues with the quality of work and follow-through. One example is an LED light that continues to flicker. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

Owning an older home comes with inevitable surprises, so we wanted a team who could problem-solve creatively. That's where Liran shined. We brought some ideas to the table, and he offered alternative solutions that made far more sense for how we live--solutions we loved. Designers were brought in to prepare plans and permits, and the work began. Our project manager, Adi, was one of the kindest, most attentive people I've ever worked with. He stayed in constant contact, visited the site frequently, and ensured every detail met extremely high standards. It became a running joke between us about changing their slogan to "quality you can afford"--he humored me, and it perfectly captures the team's approach. The craftsmanship from Flavio, the lead contractor, was exceptional. We didn't pick the easiest designs, but the finished primary bathroom shower tile is genuinely a work of art--everyone who sees it comments on it. We also can't forget "Muscle Memo", who handled all the heavy lifting--climbing through dusty attics, crawling under grimy crawl spaces, and tackling the toughest physical work. His effort made the project run smoothly and safely. Adding to the charm, the team brought their own portable bathroom, which hilariously became a little local attraction--neighbors and passersby would sometimes "need to go," and we all shared a laugh over it. LB went above and beyond by addressing problem areas that weren't part of the original scope, with no extra charge, just to ensure the house looked perfect. They even brought in a professional cleaning crew, leaving our home cleaner than when the project started--a rare and deeply appreciated touch. We are thrilled with the entire LB team and highly recommend them. I was definitely persuaded by these reviews - and now will question every business that has 5 star reviews. Do your homework and don't be fooled. Project took much longer than what it should have because they were disorganized and would forget certain things (the foreman would even admit that the PM should have told me certain things!) that I would have imagined a contractor had down pat in terms of sequencing. They use some subcontractors and you are at the mercy of their schedules. They just are not organized (you will do a lot of the reminding, checking in, following up, and certain things still may not happen). They failed inspections meaning more cost (it is their job to pass these! It says this in any contract!) If it seemed as though I was questioning something, the PM got defensive and sometimes unprofessional, gaslighting me in a very aggressive manner. I saved the communication, in fact. The people I worked with directly were young and it showed in the almost-too-casual style of communication and lack of professionalism. I surrendered towards the end and just wanted the project done and everyone gone. I feel completely foolish that I went with the significantly higher estimate thinking it would offer a smooth, superior experience. The actual people who did the work worked hard though and did nice work - hence the two stars. But at the end of the day, it's actually hard to enjoy the work as I am reminded by the months of bad experiences - up to the very end. You can find more experienced contractors out there for equal quality of workmanship and for a more competitive price. I am using a different contractor now for other work at the property - it's a 180 degree difference - they have a dedicated team for my project, meaning time to completion is more accurate and on time; they have a dedicated person to procure the finishes and fixtures, not myself; they are way more organized and even provided me a timeline of what to expect and communicate with me what time they are showing up and what progress was made that day (!!); they are bringing a truly expert eye with attention to detail that ELEVATES the space and are teaching me to ask things I didn't even know I should KNOW to ask; and most importantly, I feel truly comfortable asking questions without defensiveness and aggressive steamrolling in their answers. I received none of this level of care or expertise with MHR, and I want you to know that you should expect these things!!!

Plus, their bid came in much lower than the three other contractors who quoted for us. We replaced four bathroom vanities which seemed like a small project, but required more skilled work than we originally imagined - including redoing plumbing and moving electrical to accommodate the new layout of vanity, mirrors, and lighting. The crew was very careful to cover surfaces to prevent damage (and also avoid dust getting on all our things) and to clean up their tools and equipment at the end of each day so we could have our space back. Arturo did really stellar work and clearly pays attention to the small details, like smooth caulking lines and patching each little area of drywall and paint to ensure a completely finished project.
