Long story short after multiple texts and seeing videos we were comfortable and ready to apply, we were approved and paid a holding deposit. Long story short at the last minute she sent me breakdown of costs and I see the garage was extra costs. Mind you the add said garage. Never did it say it would cost extra. I told her i wouldnt have applied if I knew it was extra. I've never had to pay more for a garage. Anyway, her unprofessional reply was' it's never been a problem before and you didn't ask' .really?! Your the property management company you should disclose everything upfront and the add should be accurate. You'll see the original post and now she adds to the current post "rentable garages' because she knows she should disclose that. Anyway moral of the story... Dont put deposit down in any case until you see the unit, to this day, weeks later I still haven't heard back regarding me requesting my holding deposit back since it was their error, due to them not fully disclosing the correct info. HOSTILE AND A NEGLIGENT COMPANY…read more STAY AWAY!!! The Clark street property has a generational old cockroach infestation issue that they have been dealing with long before I moved in. when I moved in (August 2020) within the first six hours I had noticed and have picture of roach droppings along the windowsills in (September 2022) the tenants next-door to me in unit six I've been living there for over five years and had gotten a pest treatment done prior to getting their treatment done. Their pest control. Technician had informed them that if a treatment was to be done on six, it should be done on all the surrounding units, including mine, and prior to doing business with Payne pest control during the bid for Clark street property they were informed of what would need to be done to get rid of this pest infestation which meant getting the property tented mind you this was before I had moved in I was old told that Bryan and Samantha had just gone with the cheapest option which they also knew would not take care of this issue. A couple months into moving in I had informed them of the pest issue and needing treatment in which they responded by sending an inspection out rather than a treatment which only allowed the infestation to move and grow worse in my unit. By the time any treatment had been done all of my property, my kitchen appliances. Everything was infested, no matter how much we cleaned how much we threw out they constantly kept coming through the same places that the water would come through for the flooding pictures emails of it all during confronting them on their negligence they choose to divert from laws and ordinance codes that I present to them that they're violating in which I've had to move units because of this issue and the infestation has spread to my appliances I was no longer able to move anything from my old unit (5) into my new unit (4) I had to buy completely new furniture and knew everything but the same old infested appliances from number (5) had to come with me I am not the only tenant who I have witnesses and current tenants that are willing to testify against this as well as it being an issue long-standing before I had even moved in, not only have I had to personally take losses from their negligence, but Bryan has also been calling other tenants making them uncomfortable with personal questions about me and he is also insinuated nefarious things about me to other tenants he has also told new tenants moving in he has told them that I am the cause to their generational old roach infestation problem. if there was an option for zero stars, I would select that Bryan and Sam and the entire company are a bunch of slumlords looking to steal your money. Sandi has never seen or met me in person-and I have not paid her a dime for her help. I suffered an accident while very pregnant with our second child. Fortunately, our unborn (now healthy newborn!) is completely fine-but I have not been able to walk for almost 4 months now and suffered 1st and 2nd degree burns on my body. Out of nowhere, we were told that we must move to another unit-as our current landlord had been discharged from his military service much earlier than expected. We are genuinely happy for our landlord to return home safely-but the timing was extremely stressful. I have a toddler and couldn't take care of myself-let alone her completely; and was very pregnant and still can't walk. Our housing search was beyond stressful and exhausting. Most of our housing applications were never even opened or viewed. I can't count how many rentals we looked into/agents and owners we contacted in the past several months. I emailed Sandi and told her our situation-and explained that she was recommended by a church priest who knows a friend of ours (also an Episcopalian priest. My husband is actually a seminarian and former minister, and we have not lived in SD county very long). Sandi immediately moved into action-going above and beyond in sending us rentals, giving us feedback, moral support, and was incredibly compassionate, caring, genuine, and wonderful throughout my very high risk pregnancy and offered constant support for our housing search. I cannot thank her enough. She has never asked for one penny from me. She just helped us repeatedly without any desire or request for monetary compensation, recognition, or anything else-she just wanted to help us from her own good will and spirit. I can only say that she was an angel to me and our family through a very trying time, and I am grateful to have crossed paths with her (even virtually) and receive her boundless insights and professional expertise regarding the SD county housing market. Their lack of communication was only outdone by their ensuing rude communication. Despite our best efforts to be courteous and respectful tenants, Del Mar Property Management clearly displayed their only concern was their bottom line. I would in no way recommend staying at any property managed by this company.
