Like this whole complex which includes Sephora and Saks. This along with the shops in Copley pretty much covers all your clothing needs ie. Gap, Bannana etc. I really like the fact that it doesn't have the huge mall feel and it is next to some really great restaurants on Newbury which also has some great shops ie. Abercrombie. I was told that this was the best shopping center in Boston. It's a nice indoor shopping center with some of the typical shops, such as Express, Oakley, and high-end stores. The food court had a variety of food - bakery, pizza, Japanese, seafood, chowder. There are sit-down restaurants in the mall, such as Wagamama, Legal Seafood, and Cheesecake Factory. You could also go up on the Skywalk Observatory to see all of Boston on the top level of the building. Free wifi. We used it to find out local restaurants in Boston and to check into our flights. I like how the Westin and Marriott Hotel had walkways to connect to the Prudential Shopping Center. That helped with the weather was extremely cold. read more

This glass-enclosed strip of shops is a must see for the fashionista visiting Boston. The sleek looking interior is complimented with sunlight beaming in through the ceiling and an atrium running through the middle. With tons of shops, there is something for everyone here, even the men. We deposited my friend's husband at Papyrus to look at exquisite pens, leather goods, and office supplies while us ladies browsed a sale at Banana Republic. The selection was 20% with another 50% off coupon we received at the door. What a steal! My friend ended up getting $120.00 worth of clothes for $35.00. I didn't spend time here to go shopping except to walk around or go the food court. Speaking of which, if you want really good food court food, GO HERE. It was absolutely the best food court with the best selections of food I've ever experienced in any mall! My favorite meal: Gourmet Indian. Not the best I've had but consistently really good food! I'm an out-of-towner, and I had about 3 hours to kill til an appointment in the Prudential Building. Before I arrived, I was a little worried about finding stuff to do for three hours. Ha! This place is ridiculously big. Like, just when I thought I had seen all the shops, I turned a corner (or crossed a walkway over a road) and found more! I really liked the chocolatier by the crosswalk, and the fact that they had Tiffany's and Manolo Blahniks (not that I bought shoes that cost double my rent, but it was so fun to look)! I really didn't like Au Bon Pain (which surprised me!) but I'll Yelp about them later. The atmosphere at ABP was actually beautiful. It was on the ground floor of the center and had giant panel windows that overlooked huge, blooming cherry blossom trees, or whatever you guys call those giant, white flowered trees. Remind me to never come here again on a rainy day... Holy crap the place was PACKED. and I mean packed. I could barely get through the crowed to get to the stores! And I don't know what was going on in Boston today, but it seemed like it was overrun with tourists everywhere. Nothing against them - the city needs their business, but it's hard to navigate the city when they are all over the place with their giant maps out trying to figure out where they are. And they REALLY seem to LOVE the Prudential Center. I like going here. Yes, it's basically a mall in the midst of the city. Yes, it has the same shops as every other place you could go. It's really nice in that it is super easy to get to if you're a cityfolk. It also has a really diverse set of shops. Barnes & Noble, Levenger (woot!), Teavana, Wagamama (double woot!), Pinkberry (wootX3!), and a ton of clothing stores. The food court rocks. Cheeseboy? yes please. Avoid Flamers though... it sucks. Also, if you're new in town, it is easy to get lost in here. Look up toward the ceiling, there are wayfinding signs-a-plenty. It's also great as a way to get around between different bus stops or if you're looking for an indoor passthrough from the South End to Back Bay (esp. if you cut through Copley Place). I also enjoy people watching here. Being kinda new, it's fun to go and watch out-of-towners or suburbanites pretend they know where they're going. Nice shopping center in the heart of the Back Bay. Home to unique shoppes including Johnny Was, Shinola, Polo Ralph Lauren and massive Sephora and 2-floor Under Armour. Eataly is nice when looking for both full service restaurants and quick service bites including gelato, salads and even a cannoli bar. So is Blue Bottle Coffee, Num Pang, Dig Inn, Wagamama and Sweetgreen. The Cheesecake Factory, 5 Napkin Burger and Del Frisco's satisfy your full service needs. I have to disagree with some of the other reviews about this being classy and upper scale shops. Besides Saks, Sephora and the bookstore there is not a whole lot of options here. Its usually packed full of tourists waiting to get on their Duckboat tour. You're better off to hit Newbury Street one street over. You will find better shopping there. Or even the Copley mall -- it has better options than the PRU The only reason I go to the Pru is for Saks now. read more

The Pru is your run-o'-the-mill brand name-laden mall, but the shoppers/those-taking-refuge there are significantly less overweight than those at its typical counterpart. In a few words, it's typical but classier, with wings aka "Arcades" named after different neighborhoods and a sweet-looking courtyard (locked and/or deserted in winter). read more

If you are looking for a good place to shop in Boston, then this is the place for you. This place is filled with high end stores, some touristy shops and decent food places. A downside is that this mall doesn't have Macy's. Other than that, it's in a great location. It's really accessible to get to from the T. To me, this is the center of Boston! I can cut through the Pru at all times of day or night to get from the south end to back bay. My favorite places here are Lord and Taylor and Paradise Cafe. It's also a special treat to go for brunch or cocktails at the Top of the Hub and look over the entire city! read more

I love this place!!!! I've been here twice, it consists of several shopping malls and a few restaurants. The view on the 52nd floor is beautiful, the price however wasn't worth it in my opinion. I can't really say much about parking since I ubered. However a friend parked on Roxbury st for free and walked over to the center. read more

seriously, who needs a review of a mall? it's a normal yuppy mall with a lot of stores. i'm here to tell a story! **the 5 labors of alice t** in early july, i headed down to boston to celebrate my best friend's last few weeks as a (sort of) single woman. yup, i was in charge of throwing her bachelorette party. now, this task was not as simple as it appears at first glance bc alice is taiwanese american, and in typical asian fashion, she lacks the aldehyde dehydrogenase enzyme that allows her to properly metabolize alcohol. thus, most typical bachelorette party excursions would result in al turning bright purple and beet red after one drink, puking after two, and passing out by the time she had even a sip of the third. besides, throwing a "typical" party of any sort is just not my style! instead, my other best friend and i decided to throw al a completely sober, middle of the day, scavenger hunt bach party, and prudential center (along with the attached copley plaza) was where this strange event took place. here are the tasks she was assigned: 1) go to a tea store and ask the clerk to help find an aphrodisiac tea without mentioning the words "aphrodisiac" or "sex." 2) go to a make up store and get advice on how to look like a 70s glam rock star, but make sure they don't think it's for a costume party...you *really* want to look like a rock star! 3) go to a nutrition store and get help in finding an herbal viagra alternative, but don't mention "viagra," "erectile dysfunction," or anything too similar. 4) go to a lingerie store, pick out the *biggest* bra you can find, and ask the clerk who she'd recommend fitting into such a bra WITHOUT surgery. 5) go to a book store and get recommendations on a book about tantric sex...without actually mentioning tantric sex. those were the tasks assigned, and the prudential center provided all the necessary outlets for the completion of these tasks. you'll have to await some more reviews to learn exactly how each of the labors went down...and maybe by the end you'll hire me as your bridesmaid too :). read more

I was staying at Fairmont Copley Plaza 15 mins walk away. Ears froze up from window shopping. Then got to prudential. It was warm & spacious. Retailers and food vendors mostly high end shopping. Eat Italy was a a Roman supermarche par excellence on this side of the pacific. It's a vast complex & when we were here with the family in 2015 my 16 year old son got lost going to the men's washroom. You can't beat window shopping in the prudential on a bitterly cold Bostonian Jack Frost day. read more

They also have some exhibits with great Boston History tidbets that were a nice touch as well . Good info on local famous people and sites as well as sports. I generally only use the Pru as an indoor path to get from Huntington to Copley. At the very most, I'll eat at the cheesecake factory, or walk around the Sony style store (but i never buy anything.) Only giving the Prudential Tower a 3 for the Skywalk since it offers by far the best view of the entire city and can't be beat as far as that goes. But the Prudential Center itself is more of a tourist trap than anything else especially considering that parking in the Prudential Center parking garage was nothing short of armed robbery, it was $46 to park there for just a couple of hours! That's simply outrageous. Other than the Skywalk it's just a high priced mall with nothing to offer but a hole in the wallet for parking there. Uber to see the Skywalk and then leave, that's my recommendation. The Skywalk is expensive at $18 but again the perspective on the entire city from that height is worth seeing. read more

The Shops at Prudential Center are a really fun place to walk around and window shop ...or spend a whole lot of money. I usually come here to do the former. There's a ton of stores to browse through, even if you don't plan to buy anything. They have a whole slew of high-end stores...you name it, and it's probably here at the Pru. Like other malls, there are a bunch of stands and kiosks in addition to the stores. They have your standard scarf kiosks, jewelry stands, and cell phone cover kiosks, but they also have some that I haven't seen anywhere else. My one particular favorite is a kiosk that sells Russian matryoshka dolls - you know, those wooden nestling dolls. They're beautiful to look at, and they even have some with penguins painted on them (if you know me, you know how big a deal that is)! Perhaps my favorite haunt of all at the Shops is the Barnes & Noble, which is decent-sized for a mall bookstore. I could spend hours here. And I have, more than once. It's nice to stroll into B&N and just get away from the crowded hustle and bustle of the rest of the mall. And when you emerge from B&N and head back out into the shopping madness, you can pick up some fro yo at Pinkberry before you leave. Sounds like a plan, yes? read more

When we pulled in there was nothing visible explaining the rate except that it's $17 flat rate for game day parking. Total rip off, you can literally park anywhere else in Boston for cheaper. There is a reason why I (semi-affectionately) call this place "The Prude": it is extremely neat and clean, you usually see rich white folk roaming the halls, and my flimsy wallet wont even let me step into some of these stores. The stores are expensive and it's mostly for tourists who cant handle the boston weather and need to spend the day indoors. At the same time, however, I cant help but think (while trying to look at the stores disapprovingly) how I would love to buy something from the Godiva Chocolate store, or try on make up at Saphora or get tea from that adorable tea store whose name escapes me. But then i take one look at the fly that lives in my wallet (where money should be) and realize that the Prude and I are just not meant to be together. read more

Our evening began by acquiring two extra friends: Antonio and Maureen. While they might have been inanimate objects, they were not inanimate in their spirit and the way they dressed (pun intended). 28 seconds into our evening the six of us almost lost our lives struck by a semi.....HIPSTER riding his bike. While Lord and Taylor was impressive, we were whelmed by their music choice; music really can make or break the ambiance, and it was definitely broken. However, besides the MASSIVE music catastrophe, the clothing selection was superb. Their diversity in fur coats made Jacob pee his pants. We exited immediately. 2/10 Stop 2: The corridor Naturally from Winchester, MA, Lisa identifies strongly with tropical vegetation. 10/10 Stop 3: Mini Luxe Maureen and Antonio had been living the lives of the ratchet; they needed to get their nails did. Luxe was impressive in their service, lacquer selection and pleather seating, but we couldn't quite find their spirit shades. 4/10 Stop 4: Street Cred The great thing about the Pru's location is that it is frequent you run into someone you know. As held true for our friends. It was a great way to make up for their loss at luxe. 8/10 Stop 5: Microsoft and doppelgängers One might imagine the manufacturer of the iPhone would be able to fix a simple bug in their product but we found otherwise. There is without a doubt an earwig in Grace's phone and for some reason that wigged them out. They were hot. 7.657/10 (calculated with regression analysis). We also found the remaining three doppelgängers. The cru at the pru is a 10/10 Stop 6: Truffles: A Candied Surprise Strawberries. Chocolate. Orgasms. We cheated on Maureen and Antonio (it was worth it). 9/10 Stop 7: The West Wing Escalator It was in this moment we realized Maureen had seen better days. Maureen was dead (complete loss of body fluids). Antonio did take the news well. 4 hours later we realized we had lost Antonio. We found him on the west wing escalators. They were running smoothly. 8/10 Stop 8: Star Market Antonio insisted we played a little game to cheer him up (we had never heard of it before). Antonio called it hide and seek. We couldn't find him. Can you? Mood 4/10 All in all, the 5 of us (RIP Maureen who was our strong, savory friend) had a smashing evening, filled with sweets, greens, and mink fur. read more

This is really no different than any other mall except for the obscene amount of tourists inside. There are a few good points to this mall though- the Barnes and Nobles is nice and big and luckily you can just run in and run out of the BN and not have to deal with the busy concourses. The food court is nice especially if you just want to grab something super quickly while out shopping. And it is home to the only Sephora in Boston Proper. Really, the only time I ever go there with the intention to shop is if I'm going to Sephora, otherwise the other shops (Jasmine Sola, Papyrus) can be found elsewhere in the city with much less hassle. read more

Having Copley and Prudential shopping centers on a rainy day is trouble. The Prudential Center is a great shopping center for every day clothes and accessories. They also have a great variety of restaurants and you can catch the Duck Boat tours across the street on Boylston. Shops range from: ArdenB, Ann Taylor, L'Occitane, Crane's Paper Co, Sephora, Truffle Connection (yum) and a huge Barnes & Noble. If you're hungry, there is a Legal Seafoods here - but lines get long, so get there early! read more
