This is a great place for groups! My friends have been regularing this place due to its proximity to their climbing gym and this has become a good regular place for us! The place is absolutely huge with seating indoors, upstairs, and outside in appropriate weather. They host a variety of events and the staff is friendly and welcoming when you order your drinks. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar walk up style or from a QR code at your table which gives the place a very casual feel. Beers have a lot of variety available in their brews and all of the three we tried our last visit were great! Additionally we tried the elote fries and although this is an app best suited for two - all four of us were satisfied due to how thick and smothered the waffle fries came out! Food was very fast too despite the place being extremely packed. Volume is a bit loud when the place is on the fuller side but again, this is a place that leans casual. Additionally, I have never seen so many babies - this is an extremely well behaved and kid friendly place. People seemed to really mind their manners and I didn't notice anyone drinking heavily or using any sort of harsh language in order to keep up the family friendly appearance on the guest side. Pryes is great! Even though nobody seems to know how to pronounce their name (according to their website it's like "Prize".) Food is amazing, beer is great, if you're a sour fan their wild sours are out of this world. Their staff is awesome too. Honestly the only complaint I have is that their prices are not transparent. They add 20% to everything you buy. Granted you're not expected to tip because of this, but honestly I'd prefer they just tell me the price upfront. There's a certain air of sticker shock every time you get done a night here, granted, when you're not tipping it ends up being the same but I prefer up front price transparency over added fees when I ask for my check, even if it works out to the same in the end! read more

A quick one beer in and out situation for the wife and I at Pryes Brewing on Saturday, but nevertheless, a dope brewery to attend, especially if you're a hip millennial unlike myself. First off, did I not get the memo on this place being the hang out for my fellow millennials? I mean, it was like hipster 20-30 year old central. Regardless, there was still plenty of other age populations there, so don't be thrown if you don't understand all the kids talking about bitcoin and their instagrams. Beer was pretty good! I only got one which was the miraculum which I liked. The beers are almost all hazy, ipa, or sours from my brief foray up to the bar. So if you like that beer, you should go there. The absolute best part about this brewery is the tons of outdoor seating. We got there at like 6 and had just missed the daily 20 minutes of sunlight were apparently being allotted in Minnesota this spring, but it was still super chill space to hang out in. The only reason I give this a 4/5 is because I didn't get to spend much time there nor try more than one beer. I'd recommend it from our brief visit but I'd have to go back to see if I'd change my rating to a 5 star! Overall, super good! Dog friendly as well! read more

Spent a sunny afternoon at Pryes brewing today and really enjoyed my time! I chose to make a 4 beer flight for $3 a beer. All of which I really liked! I think I have a new favorite beer from Pyres which is their Sour! I also chose to try a taste of their menu and ordered the meatballs. As amazing as they were drown in tomato sauce. They were very tasty but would rather have had the sauce as an accent flavor than the main flavor. The outdoor patio here is super spacious with plenty of shade and sun table options. Hate beer, LOVE this place! I find myself here more often as the food and service is excellent! I don't like beer, but they do have kombucha and seltzers and THC drinks that are very good. Service is FAST! I love ordering using the table QR code, and the drinks and food is there in mins. Nice giant outdoor patio for summer that can seat hundreds. Beers are about $10 each after the automatic surcharges. Shockingly fast service when ordering pizza or appetizers. On our first day in Minneapolis (relocated from NYC), we were walking around our new neighborhood and stumbled upon Pryes. It was a warm summer around 6pm and we saw a vibrant outdoor scene from across Plymouth Ave. We found a spot to sit in there expansive outdoor seating arrangement and got some summery beers. The beers were excellent. We also got some food (cheese board and some pizzas - the cheese board is fantastic). It was a nice way to finally unwind after days of long drives into the unknown of the Midwest. We sat for what felt like hours, enjoying a beer or two and soaking up our new city. What makes it stand out in addition to the tasty brews, is their food (which is a second thought at most breweries if they have food at al). All told, my boyfriend and I had the Mass Haze-teria, Bohemian Blonde, Blood Orange Miraculum, Royal Raspberry, veggie pizza, and pepperoni and burrata pizza. The outdoor seating was perfect for a fall covid-era evening. I was pleasantly surprised to see so much vegetarian-friendly food on the menu. The fig balsamic reduction on the veggie pizza was delicious and I loved every bite. I want to come back to try the roasted veggies, zucchini, and focaccia, too. And of course, more beer. Love Pryes. It's a short walking distance so I feel like we go here often plus the beer is good and the atmosphere is great even with COVID. The slice of paradise is my favorite and the freaking bomb.. it's such a different flavor from any beer I've ever had. It's just like having a toasted marshmallow and key lime pie. I'm a big fan of Pryes. It's a beautiful space inside and out, and the beer, food, and service is wonderful. The only complaint I have is that the music is SO LOUD. I work remotely and enjoy coming to Pryes to get some work done during typical work hours on week days, but every time I do the music is so loud I can't hear myself think and headphones don't drown it out. It's gotten to the point that I've avoided coming to Pryes due to this and I have friends I like to cowork with who feel the same way as we can't hear each other well when we try to have conversation. I get having the music louder on the weekends when it's busier, but it's really distracting and unnecessary on a quiet afternoon. read more
