Larry was great to speak with, he's super knowledgeable and helped me understand the possible issues & how they'd go about repairing it. From speaking via email to meeting in person, he was very thorough and made me feel like my hard drive was in good hands. The repair took around 2 weeks (I wasn't in a rush to get it repaired, I told him it can be put on the back burner as long as it got done). Instead, they charged me $150 to install a new hard drive with more memory and failed to install the new OS. When I ran the update at home, I was locked out of one of my profiles. When I brought the MAC back, the man said, "What did you do?" and acted like I did something wrong for installing the newest update. I told him he didn't do what I had asked him to do. He fixed it, after mansplaining to me, and then told me he should charge me but was going to give me a break. The DVDs were going to cost $300 to transfer to the thumb drive, so I said I'd wait. He had told me it would cost me $80 to try and get any data off of the Dell laptop. So I left the computer there and said I'd comeback for the hard drive. To be fair, this was in April. I went in today to try and get the hard drive, and at first, they said they didn't know what I was talking about, and then tried to insist they had given it to me (they didn't) and then finally just said, "Well, we don't have it". If you choose to go here, get EVERYTHING in writing!

Where to begin.. One star. At least the product could read and scan my device? So, I can't say it…read moredid nothing at all. The product(s) is misleading and largely ineffective. I don't know of any person on this planet who deletes data and then quickly rushes to retrieve it with expensive software, which is about all the application is designed to do. Despite deep scanning, detecting data (less than competitors products, I later learned), and even offering (for hundreds more dollars) repair wizards or special services from their pro staff to fix any data, the products will not retrieve much of anything useable, and you will be out hundreds of dollars or more. The repair software also does not "work", which is no doubt used by their "pro staff". Actually, it has the ability to turn a half corrupted image (or relevant file type; each has their own repair wizard) into one that a high-end PC won't even recognize as a file of any type. I was actually beginning to question if I had mistakenly purchased a data erasure license. More or less, you can pay them to use their own tool and tell you it was not successful or worse, or you get the tool as additional content and find out the same result for yourself. Either way, you pay for it. Not only that, but, customer service is a joke (which is astounding for a company in business this long), and you will not be refunded, even if you follow and meet their criteria for said refund and they assure you of a "speedy resolution". You will, instead, be circle-jerked by a plethora of signed names, not one of which will appear twice in your correspondence. Imagine being sorely misled and disappointed, then telling a hundred different people (who is likely one individual eating hot-pockets in the facility basement using bogus names) "yes, I would like a refund", to no success. Rather, you get a barrage of questions thrown your way about any and everything as if to avoid giving you your hard earned money back for a "satisfaction guaranteed product" (before they finally just ignore/block you). Stellar is a money-grab. Customer service is *non-existent* despite initial appearances.. of insults carefully disguised with courteous and seemingly professional verbiage. It would not surprise me one bit if you are charged an additional fee in the amount of your requested refund to get the refund processed. I guess I'll never know, since they have chosen to ignore my final request for a refund which dragged on a week now. Find an alternative. The key ingredient to customer satisfaction? - is "action". Stellar lacks it, unless they stand to profit.
