However, I'm getting to the point that I may try to find another salon. Why?? For starters, the general attitude here is not good. Service is not a thing here, and unlike most salons, stylists (I've tried 3 different ones so far) are just not that personable. In fact, one of the three stylists I've tried here cancelled on me not once, but twice!! Obviously, I stopped booking with her. I also sense that they're not even that happy being there. I could be wrong, but it's the feeling that you get from these stylists. Still, the general hair cutting has been good...though, in my case, it's pretty basic. Just a straight line! I've always tipped 20%...but I'm starting to rethink this, given how the service is so minimal. On my last 2 sessions, the stylist barely said "Hi" to me. The place itself is pretty cool looking (in a grungy kinda way?), but I feel that the place may not be clean as it should be. I could be wrong here, but I've seen dust on their surface and arty structures. Also, I really don't like how they blow dry and comb your hair with their fingers. Not just a little bit while blow drying...but all throughout! It just feels a bit gross. I mean, who knows how clean their fingers are! I also hate the way they wash your hair. They actually have a separate girl that wash your hair (instead of the stylists)...and this girl is just not good! She has zero strength in her fingers...and I hate the way she even touches your hair! Possibly THE worst hair washing experience (experiences) I've ever had in ANY salon. I can't believe someone that's actually hired for this job (hair washing) does such a poor job! Despite liking the location and pricing, service and overall quality is always an issue. I may give it another try...but if my thoughts and feelings are confirmed once again on my next visit, I'll just find another salon in the area.

The prices are comparable to most high end salons but the service is mediocre. I do think they stay pretty busy and that may be why I felt this way.

WORST HAIRCUT EVER…read more Cindy cut my hair way too short. I asked for 2 inches, at most 2.5 inches off. I walked out with 4 inches off my length and I cried in my car after leaving. I wore my glasses today so I had to take them off during my haircut so I was unable to see but how did TWO INCHES turn to FOUR?!? My long hair that was close to my bottom is now up above mid back. I kept emphasizing I want to keep my hair LONG. Be firm on your boundaries and what you want. I usually get my haircut once a year and now this makes me never want to even cut my hair ever again. How hard is it to just listen to what the client want?! I haven't had hair this short since grade school. I've never felt so ugly and I hated that I had to pretend this was ok. He's cut my hair, bleached my hair, and toned my hair to my heart's desires and I will never leave my hair to another ever again. Brian's is an artist. He always listens to what I want and we discuss the results that I want. He knows me well, so if ask for something out of the ordinary, he makes sure that I understand what I'm asking for. I went to this salon hoping they could correct the color. Before I ever sat in the chair, I asked at least five times what my total would be because I didn't want any surprises. I was told it would be $150 to correct the color to honey blonde, and it was explained that price was for full highlights. I confirmed that several times before agreeing to the service. I arrived around 11:00 a.m. and didn't leave until almost 5:00 p.m. After spending nearly my entire day there, I was shocked when I got to the register and was told my total was $315 for a wash, blow-dry, silk press, and color correction on hair that's only neck length. If I had been told the real price upfront, I would have never agreed to the service. Pricing should be transparent before a client commits, not after they've spent hours in the chair. To make matters worse, I wasn't even happy with the results. The silk press wasn't as straight as I expected, especially after being there for so many hours. When I explained that the total wasn't what we had discussed, I paid $200 and told them I was going to my car to see if I had additional cash. I'm pregnant, and I even left my phone inside as collateral to show I wasn't trying to avoid paying. I sat in my car for a moment counting my money and decided I would pull closer to the entrance since my phone was still inside. Before I knew it, several women came outside and surrounded my car, which made me feel embarrassed and intimidated. Overall, the lack of clear pricing, the way the situation was handled, and the customer service left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this salon based on my experience.

Between that appointment and when I washed my hair again on 3/27, I did not do anything to it other than wrap it at night. I don't work out or do anything that would have caused unusual stress or damage to my hair. When I finally washed it, my hair was coming out from the roots in chunks. Since that appointment, my hair has felt extremely brittle, and I've also noticed that I've lost a lot of my curl pattern. It's very upsetting because my hair was not in this condition before the service. I trusted that my hair would be cared for properly, but it now seems like it was over-processed with heat and over flat ironed. I'm sharing this because I think people should know my honest experience.
