My scalp is so sensitive to bleach and toner but all the products he used didn't burn my scalp! I've never had anyone do my hair right. I definitely recommend him! It was a little expensive but it was worth it. Balayage $175 + toner $80 + hair cut $45 + receptionist fee $5 = $305 I didn't like that the charge for receptionist fee.. but overall the service, quality, and free snacks. I started coming here about four years ago and will continue for years to come. This is a great salon. The staff is friendly, very easy to make an appointment, and the receptionist will give you recommendations for a stylist depending on the style of cut you want. When you enter, you check in and are offered a beverage like water or soda. My appointment started roughly about the time I scheduled, give or take 10 minutes. Brittany was the stylist I was recommended and I am so grateful! She not only listened to what I wanted, she gave me suggestions on what she though would work better. She actually described what she was doing with certain steps to make sure I was okay with it. The end result was what I wanted and more. Atlanta has a slew of haircut places that range from premier to shoddy at best. What's even harder is being a transplant from Detroit where I only went to one place because the guy there knew how to cut men's hair and worked with me closely on what I wanted. When I moved, I knew I had to find a good barber or haircut place that would be able to match my barber at home and that itself was pretty scary as you literally have to try places and wait because if they mess up your hair, it has to grow back enough so that you can cut it again. My search continued for nearly 5 months after landing in the ATL and thankfully, after some trial and error (mostly error), I found just B Hair Salon. Perusing their website, I noticed one of their stylists Briggs could do a disconnected undercut with a fade to the back and sides. So I jumped the gun and booked an appointment with him. The guy is an artist who pays attention not just to the intricate details, but also the big picture. You tell him what you want and he delivers but then adds a flair that you can appreciate. It speaks to the nature of this place. Everyone displays a professionalism but also brings their own personality to their style. But they never sacrifice service, knowledge, professionalism, for the sake of expression. There is a balance and it shows in their experience of providing each patron with 100% skill and connection. That being said, if you're ever in the Duluth/Gwinnett area, book a hair appointment with this place. This place is amazing! I made an appointment a week prior and the receptionist had me fill out an online questionnaire about my hair and what I wanted. When I got there, they took my temperature and I was immediately seated to the salon chair. My stylist Emily went through with me the entire process over what I wanted (a cut and balayage). She also gave me the prices before starting so there was no surprise at the end. Emily was great and very fun to talk to. She also gave great tips for how to style my new hair. He is sooo knowledgeable, creative and fun and makes you feel so comfortable. I absolutely LOVE what he did and now has a new repeat customer. The salon itself is great. I went to Amanda the first time who did a fabulous job. Then I returned to Caroline who is supposedly a "step up". WORST haircut I've ever had!!!! I absolutely love my hair every time I leave! They are easy to book appointments with. I always see the same woman, she does an amazing job and remembers who I am. I always got the same old haircut but then I tried Just B and now I actually have a hairstyle. I get compliments a lot on it. The downside is the front desk. They don't always give enough details. I always purchase products and just found out this last time there was a product punch card. Also, with a yelp check in you get a free conditioning treatment. But I wasn't told until I was checking out I couldn't use that with my referral credits even though we talked about it when I arrived for the appointment. But overall the salon is gorgeous, clean and inviting. They always have coffee, sodas and kind bars. And all of stylists interact with each other and the clients. read more

My stylist, Samantha, gave me several options on how to keep my hair healthy but also fix what the other salon failed to give me. She was so patience and explained the whole process with me to ensure that I love the final color. This salon experience was over a year ago (July 2018) but because I am still dealing with the fall-out from the damage that Karinna did to my hair that day, I felt that I could no longer keep silent. On July 7, I had an appointment with Karinna at the Duluth location to lighten my hair from a light brown to blonde. Karinna did a full foil in order to achieve this. However, the foils were left on my hair too long, causing it to be damaged. Thinking back, I had some of the foils on my hair for approximately two hours! She also cut off significantly more length that I had requested. I didn't realize how horrifically damaged my hair was on the day I got my hair done because Karinna curled my hair and sprayed it with a lot of hairspray, so I thought the dryness I was feeling was due to the hairspray. However, after washing it, I realized this was not the case. I attempted to contact Karinna via her work Facebook page where we had previously communicated approximately one week after my appointment. I mentioned that my hair felt extremely dry and damaged and was looking for advice. I did not receive a reply. Several weeks passed, and in addition to the extreme damage done to my hair (the back in particular felt crunchy and straw-like), I also began to feel very unhappy with my cut and color. The cut seemed very choppy and not at all blended. The color was very brassy and patchy, with the longest of the layers, a strip in the back, and the ends in the front all being a very harsh bleached blonde, which I specifically stated I did not want. While I had prebooked an appointment with Karinna, I decided that I no longer feel comfortable with her doing my hair. She had done an amazing job previously, but the mistakes made on my hair (bad cut, bad color, and severe bleach damage) have caused me to move my business elsewhere. I spent over $300 at the salon that day and left with essentially destroyed hair. I also spent hundreds in home hair care products (Olaplex and hair conditioning masks) in an attempt to make my hair somewhat presentable. A month later I had my hair fixed at another salon. Every stylist there was horrified that a fellow professional had done such a bad job with my hair. Thankfully the new stylist was able to fix the color and cut, although I had to lose significant length in order to do so and I still have many inches of damaged hair to grow out. I know Karinna is capable of amazing cuts and color because she had previously done amazing things with my hair. But this last experience was horrible. It has been over a year since this damage, and I'm still growing my hair out and working on cutting off the damaged hair. It will be probably be another year before my hair recovers from the bleach damage, not to mention I wasted $300+ in the process. While I never received a response or apology from Karinna, I did from the salon owner. He was extremely apologetic and agreed that my hair was in really bad shape. Thankfully he refunded my salon costs. The refunded money doesn't change the fact that my previously healthy hair was essentially destroyed by Karinna. read more

Fair warning: they say walk-ins are welcome, but if Olivia wasn't available when I walked in, I'm not sure how long I would've had to wait. Appointments seemed like the norm. The place is beautiful inside and very welcoming. They work on "levels," which I think is based on how much experience the stylists have. Olivia is a level 3, so my cut cost $35. I decided to get a "lob" or long bob, and I warned Olivia that she would have to give me tips on how to style it myself, and she was super informative and demonstrative. She did try to sell me additional products (I bought 1) and a coloring service, but I don't hold that against her. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back, but with an appointment next time. read more

She was more than happy to accommodate me as I was in town visiting with my sons. The whole salon was very professional and friendly. They seemed to work together as a team. Which, we all know makes for a nice place to get your services and for the people that work there. Good thing I asked, because I have gotten my hair done 3 times at Just B now and Samantha (and Olivia) never disappoint!! I am a natural brunette, and I was looking for someone to highlight my hair enough to get me to platinum blonde. I have been highlighting my hair for 12+ years now, and have had my fair share of hairstylists that do not know how to do a good blonde (usually turns out too gold, or too yellow). As a cosmetologist myself, I am quite picky about how my hair is done. I at least expect my haircut to be even. After going to another salon and having the stylist royally screw my hair up, I desperately searched for someone who could fix it. Enter Kailey from Just B Salon. She took the time to look at my hair, study it, find the flaws, and she grabbed her shears with a smile and a steady hand and fixed what was done to me. When I came in, the left side of my hair was at least an inch longer than thr right, the "layers" were nothing more than stringy mess, and there were even bits of the ends that were longer than the rest of the hair. Sweet, artistic, compassionate, and precise...I trust Kailey now. Not to mention, the haircut I got from Kailey was 10 times better than the crap I got somewhere else and half the price.
