So I read the negative reviews, are we really talking about the same Paul ? I had a very large project to attack since we just moved into our home 1 1/2 years ago. I have a very large backyard 3/4 acre that was 4 inches under water to include my patio so every time it rained for at least a week we were unable to use anything in the back because we are sitting on top of Clay. Also wrapping around my entire house was this god awful ivy, so after much discussion with Paul we decided to rip out all the Ivy. To fix the backyard we put in a very large extensive French drain and all the way around the house we put in beautiful new shrubbery and flowers and bushes. We now have a beautiful looking house and my backyard is completely repaired no more Lake. It has rained several days now since the new French drain has been put in. My patio has been bone dry also my backyard lawn you can now walk on it without walking through water my hat is off to Paul and his crew who worked diligently. Now my wife and I are enjoying sitting out in the back and seeing all of the beautiful bushes plants and flowers. To Paul the owner thank you thank you thank you. read more

I hired Pawel to do some work at my house. His office lady boo was so nice helping me set up a free consultation. I was fortunate that when pawel came out to my house he also brought his estimator Mike in his cab and a half truck with the samples of the blocks for my job. Rescheduled an initial consultation twice. The first time, he cancelled about 10 minutes before our appointment. The second time, he simply didn't show up. We had arranged our schedules to be available. No call, text or email. read more

Paul and his crew were great! I had a mess in our front and side yard that needed a whole new look. Paul created the project design that entailed removal of tree, grading/leveling, new sod and planting of new bushes, tree and other plants. The crew worked fast and efficient. I had called for an estimate on a decent sized clean up, and had arranged for Paul to come to my home on 6/5/13. Unfortunately, he had a fender bender and had to reschedule at the last minute. We rescheduled for 6/7/13. However, he never showed up and never called to explain why. I called him and left two messages, but never received a call back. It's a shame, because if I'd hired him, there was an opportunity for repeat business, as we're also looking to have a tree planted next spring. Update on 2/6/14 (this review was originally posted on 6/21/13, with one star). More than 7 months later, I received the following message from the owner through Yelp: Your Review "We do apoligze for this, There was some misunderstand and also, a missed apointment. NO EXCUSES. That was a very bad week at PTL and that fender bender turned into a nightmare for our firm. An employee was hurt and Our truck was hit by an uninsured motorist. We would really appreciate you taking this negitive review down. If there is anything we could do to get a 2nd chance to work with you. please do not hesitate to ask. THank you, PTL Landscaping & Maintenance, Inc." My response (posted only here): While I do appreciate the circumstances, my negative review could have been avoided by having received a phone call at the time. I'm a pretty understanding person, and the only reason I left this negative review was because the second appointment had been a no call, no show. Then my two calls were left unreturned. Furthermore, I thought that my original review stated the facts (as they'd been presented to me at the time) accurately and fairly. Lastly, I've been contacted via email about this issue more than 7 months after the fact. I feel like this is sort of inappropriate. The missed appointment should have warranted a phone call, at that time. Maybe even the Monday after. After all, I waited two weeks to leave the review. That provided plenty of time for Paul to pick up the phone and call me. So, as a compromise, I'm willing to upgrade the rating to two stars, and amend it to include the statements above. read more

I have been a customer of PTL for about 2 years now. His lawn care team is top notch and always on time. 2 years ago we had Paul and his team do a seasonal clean up of our flow beds - they showed up on time, got the work completed in an efficient manner and the price was reasonable. This year we had his team redo the entire front bed. They took a day to tear out our evergreens and other ugly bushes - then came back and replanted new boxwoods and rose bushes - it looks great. Paul and his team do great work at great prices. I have gotten the best customer service from him all these years. I will continue to use Paul and his team as long as I can. read more

PTL is an excellent company to work with! Customer service and quality of work was outstanding! Time from quote request to project completion was roughly 1 week. The scope of my project was the removal of trees, shrubs and all weeds behind our detached garage and back filing the area with nice river rock. I had called to get an estimate for lawn care, Patio, also an additional lot care. Paul showed up 1 1/2 hours late! He looked at everything and told me he would forward a quote that evening....No quote. I left three messages and no return calls. I tried one last time and he answered the phone. I let him know that I didn't receive a quote and that if he is not able to take on this job to please just let me know. He laughed and said find someone else and Hung Up on Me! This guy Paul Clearly has no manners or Business skills.....He also has No Value what other peoples time means to them! Have been hiring the services of PTL for about 3 years. Never have had a bad experience. On occasion there has been a re-schedule or two, but, that was usually my fault due to my schedule. Paul, the owner/estimator, has an awesome personality and makes the dealings a friendly and fun experience. The company has done quite a bit of shrub/tree removal and installation, mulching, landscape rock, lawn maintenance. shed preparation and installation, underground gutter installation and general upkeep. Paul and his crew did amazing! Removed all the old disgusting mulch from a previous landscaping company. They removed and put down new tyveck, added river rock and stones, clean up the pin trees and any branches I needed. Our backyard is absolutely amazing! It did take a little while for the project to get started, between weather and other jobs. But it was all done in 2.5 days. They cleaned up all the dirt, leaves and left it clean. Paul came to check on the crew during the job and even stopped by a few times as I was changing my mind about what we wanted. I highly recommend and will hire again. Hopefully he can get a couple more crew members to cover how busy they are. :) read more

I would never bother contacting this company for anything. They are unresponsive and have every excuse in the book on why they can't even provide an estimate or show up for scheduled appointments. First time he didn't show up at the scheduled time, second time he didn't show up was due to hitting a "gas line", then the estimate never came, had to hound him with emails for weeks before receiving anything. Once he responded, supposedly his server had gone down. They don't show up when they are supposed to. Paul tells you he will provide an estimate within a day or two and then he has to be hounded to get you anything. He is a sorry excuse for a businessman and I am sorry that I ever tried to give him any of our business. Don't waste your time! read more
