My wife and I had an issue on the trail and Bill went out of his way to help us and take care of things.

Wonderful, well-maintained trail that lets you ride for miles without having to go on a road you…read moremust share with cars. The trail has a variety of terrains and can be easy or challenging, depending on where you go. There are some biiiigggg hills that give even a seasoned bike rider a bit of resistance, but on the flip side you get to enjoy the ride down the other side. Lots of great views of the dunes and beaches from various points on the trail. Definitely worth it to ride up to Race Point Beach and then take the trail over to Herring Cove Beach. There are restrooms and water fountains along the way but because it's so exposed, I recommend taking water and wearing a handkerchief or hat under your bike helmet. There can be lots of runners and bikers on the trail and most people seem to realize it's not their personal Formula 1 speedway but there are a few blind curves so use caution. Overall, a trail that feels very safe and is in good shape.

It was in pretty good condition when we rode it, but with the possibility of drifting sand, water, sharp turns, and some bumps, be mindful especially if you're a casual cyclist. With all the extensions to Race Point, Herring Cove, and Bennet pond, you can make this about a 10 mile ride. I strongly suggest you allow yourself enough time to travel leisurely at times and enjoy the scenery, and also to hop off your bike and enjoy the beaches for a bit.
