Unmaintained bikes and slow service It took 45 min to pick up 2 bikes and a trailer. The person helping us forgot to give us the second bike. Then, their bikes are unmaintained. The first bike had a broken gear shifter. The second bike they served us had a broken seat, to which they replaced the seat with a seat that had the cover cracked. Finally the trailer had a flat tire which we didn't discover until after we bikes a few miles. The guy also "cleaned" the trailer with a leaf blower. There were very few workers. They gave us a broken bike that stopped working when we were a city over from the shop. The workers were rude and would not give us any assistance with the broken bike; they give no maps or directions so we got lost on some back road for cars. Would not recommend for anyone. And they only gave us half our refund. 0/5 stars for sure; take your business elsewhere. read more

SO MUCH FUN!! I WANT ONE! Pros: -These bikes go fast! They have power settings 1 through 6, and on a 1 (lowest power output) we could get our bikes up to 21mph. -At first, I was worried I'd feel unsafe or out of control, but once we got on the many large, paved bike paths on the island, it became second nature. Bring a helmet and you'll be fine! -Easy online reservation system. -Location is close to the ferry dock, so it was easy to hop off the boat and right onto our bikes. Meh: -One of the male staff members was a bit out of it, and a little chauvinist. -It was like $175 to rent two electric bikes for an entire day. I thought that was expensive, but when the day was said and done, I think it was worth the money. (These bikes are like $3,000 to purchase, so $175 for a day isn't that unreasonable I suppose) read more

I was a little hesitant to try out these electric bikes and my friends were leaning towards renting regular bikes. Thank god that I convinced there to spit up a little extra $ to splurge for these pedego electric bikes! I had an absolute blast / they were very accommodating with explaining how to ride them and what to do and made sure we knew what we were getting into before we left. A few other customers cut us in line and the people working there didn't acknowledge us or the fact that people were just cutting in front of us which was frustrating. Once out of the road the bikes rode so nicely and we passed regular bikers struggling super hard while we were leisurely enjoying the views of Martha's Vineyard - if you're here for the day or the weekend pass on renting a car or regular bike - go to these super sweet electric bikes instead!! We visited in the off season when most things were shut down. We gave the number a ring to see if it was open and Jordan who lives nearby came over to rent us some bikes. He was really friendly, fast, not imposing, just great service and a really good guy. The business also is very sustainable and green. Rented an ebike in advance for the day. 5 minutes into the ride, the battery went dead. Went back to the shop to see what was wrong. New battery put in and we started riding. The bike was so old and abused. Handlebars did not line up with tire, seat was swiveling as my daughter rode the bike. The pedal assist was very irregular even on the lowest setting. My daughter ended up taking a very bad fall and was very unsure of riding this bike again. She pushed this bike back for a bit and then decided to switch bikes with me and rode my bike back to the shop. We had the bike less than an hour and when we asked to just pay the hourly rate, we were denied and were told that we rented for the whole day and we were not entitled to a refund. Very rude staff!! Poor business management!! Lesson learned, do not lay in advance!! read more

These are the Nicest guys, they really cared about taking good care of me. I rented a bike, single girl, forgot my credit card at their desk. They called me to tell me, when I returned my bike, I got the card back, they were upset because my clothes were muddy from road spray and allowed me to change clothes in the shop. When I was ready to leave... they told me I needed to fix my mascara! It had rained and it was all over my face! I couldn't have felt more taken care of! Thank you Tony and Jordan! We had a great time on the electric bikes. Pedego Electric Bikes of Martha's Vineyard made it super easy to rent and get right on the road. My family along with some friends rented eBikes from Pedego and had the greatest experience. We had a big group (7 people) age 14-49 but Jack and the staff were so accommodating and truly wanted to be sure that each one of us were comfortable before we left on our adventure. My partner and I decided to make an impromptu trip to Martha's Vineyard given the recent beautiful weather we've been having in Boston. Even though it was the off-season and most places were closed, we were able to book two electric bikes through the website. Jordan messaged to confirm the booking and went out of his way to help us out with suggestions for things to do when we arrived. He was so accommodating and it was a pleasure to book through his company. Overall, it was an awesome experience and we LOVED the electric bikes we rented. Neither of us had ever been on an electric bike but Jordan taught us how to use them. Honestly, a fantastic way to view the island though it can be a little unwieldy inside of the towns themselves because of the narrow roads, so just be aware of that and plan your bike ride so that you park the bike outside of town (esp. Edgartown. Just park it by the Church) and plan to walk around. The towns are small enough that you'll be able to walk easily. The joy was getting between different towns and going along the shoreline with the bikes. I loved it so much that I'm seriously considering purchasing a Pedago electric bike. We're planning on coming back again in April to see more of Martha's Vineyard and will definitely book with this company again. read more
