It was a busy place last night. The problem they have is they only have one bartender each time I have been there. It is busy then you should have two. That way I do not have to wait for any service. Whether it is a drink or getting food while I am there. It took 20 min for me to be able to get a menu to order food. Got the boneless wings and they are cheap on the fries that go with it. They say it is not their choice it is a direction from corporate to be cheap on the fries. Since you do not get much in fries. read more

Sometimes I just need a place where I can unwind and relax, and I've found my place. PT's has great staff, a great spacious bar, and amazing mango cart draft. This is the second time I've been here before kick starting my weekend and I always have a great time when I come here. There are a lot of pool tables you can play with if you're with a group, some UNLV decor and TV's in the bar area for you to enjoy. It's not a luxurious or high end bar, it's just a place to come and relax if you've had a long day. They also serve food, but I haven't had any food here, but it looks good from what I've seen. PT's pub is a no-frills pool hall that costs a bargain 5.00 per hour to play pool! I do not know of any other establishment where a person can play pool at such a bargain cost. They have eight pool tables and a bar, and the place was clean and bartender friendly. The lighting was dim and could have been better. However, the lighting was not enough to subtract from the experience. If your goal is to play pool and not pay absurdly high prices, PT's Pub is the place for you. I would return! read more

Stopped in this place in my way into the City of Sun, to try their house beers! The place sits in a strip mall on Tropicana, and is not very inviting from the outside. Once inside the place is dark and dreary, but there is a rather large bar, and plenty of TV's, they have an array of house beers as well as guest taps! They were out of the one beer I was most interested in which was the IPA, but I tried the other four house beers! Yeah let's just say they weren't very good and leave it at that! Wanted to play pool. Got uber to PTs as it had some good reviews. 5 of us, all over 40 from ireland. Bar was fairly empty on arrival. Bar woman pulled 2 pints and then asked us for photo IDs. She refused to accept valid Irish/EU driving licenses and irish passport card as evidence of being over 21. Checked with manager who refused to accept both forms of ID. Was told that only USA registered IDs were acceptable. Bar woman proceeded to throw out freshly poured pints. We left and went elsewhere. Tourists clearly not welcome in PTs. Avoid !!!! read more

We came from Colorado to visit family and friends and they took us to PT's Pub and we loved it! The food was really good and the portions were generous and my husband loved the wings. The bartender (Kris) was amazing and made really good drinks and took great care of us. We enjoyed the pool tables and we really had a blast. We will definitely come back when we visit again. I'm only giving a 4 star because it was a bit difficult (for us) to find the entrance once we got to the location. But everything else was a 5 star. read more

NEVER PAY FOR MUSIC while a game is on cause this bartender says it should be common sense for anyone to know that music should not be played while a game is on. Where is the sign? She was so rude. I asked her for our $ back but she said it's a 3rd party that controls that although she controlled the music to stop playing. She told me she would give me the 3rd party information but kept me waiting by taking other customers. This is clearly not customer service. I will never go back here again. I expected some sort of communication from her but got ignored and I would recommend a sign for the customers who want to use the music during a game. It's not common sense. Been to plenty of bars. Best PTs in my opinion. They have beer pong tables and pool tables. It's close to UNLV so there usually a big crowd after games or on the weekends. I usually go with a big group and drink through happy hour. My favorite thing is there selections. They have the pear cider and it's the BOMB. Usually the bartenders and really cool, they get a little busy so you gotta be patient. read more

But the part that keeps me coming back for more is definitely the bartender Kris. I first met Kris over 10 years ago and she has provided exceptional service to me and anyone I bring to see her. We've followed her to numerous PT's and plan most of my work parties there because I know everyone will have great service with her. She is always super attentive and professional and everyone loves her. She's also very friendly and always makes sure to come check on us. This PTs is lucky to have her!! I actually never even want to jeep coming back but it's close by, I lobe the food, and I'm a UNLV alumni in Hospitality of all things. First off whether it's either one of the girls they hate me for sure. I never get a hello first I always have to greet them first. They do not know how to manage the bar efficiently. They spend too much time talking to certain patrons while others are neglected. They pick and choose who gets more of their attention. They take forever and I mean forever pouring a beer. They stare and stand at the computer forever. They never come back to greet or even do a quality check after you get food. Getting a second beer is almost impossible oh and napkins forget about it oh I forget tracking them down for a menu after you just sat down. Like you never greeted me, I had to yell to ask for a beer, I had to yell to ask for a menu and then get up and walk across the bar because guess what another fascinating convo that had nothing to do with food or drink or Pts. So got my beer and never even knew she was still working. Then then food gets delivered by the cook very yummy so he leaves. I could not get her attention for napkins, I wanted another beer, so I was getting fed up and so I saw her at the computer and I wasn't even finished but I asked for a box and my check. She brought both after a few minutes and said you wanted a box right. I'm thinking we'll if you actually approached me I wouldn't have to yell and be annoying. Guess what I mean I was ready to pay my bill I had my card out as she was walking away and it sat on the bar for 10 minutes and I was this is insane. So I walk over to her at the damn register area she's talking to this guy who has been there awhile and he tried to be rude to me earlier but she's telling him hey if you stick around there's a drawing at 8pm. So I standing there and I'm ready to leave I need a bag. I just want her to swipe my card. She's talking to this guy and I just said hey I overheard you what's the special about or whatever mind you I'm literally paying to leave. I said well how come you didn't tell me about it. She said I'm making my rounds now. I'm like yiu have the worst service and have been for awhile and the other chick did the same thing to me last time I was there. I was like something is very sketchy here. But consistently if they like a guy or someone is giving them attention or I have no clue but if you think that talking to multiple pairs of guests for 5 minutes without ever checking on your other guests is OK you live in the twilight zone. Sadly as nice as I've been to both Bartenders they are blatantly rude, extremely slow with whatever they are doing, they spend too much time with specific guests, they do not do rounds, they leave to fast and don't wait to see if you need anything else, my night there was ruined by the one worker that is suppose to maintain the bar and keep guests happy. You should have paid me to come in tonight because that was not service and I had a similar experience last time I there with the other Bartender who teated me the same. So now my alma mater local bar is not the place to be anymore. The Bartender sets the mood and runs the bar efficiently and kindly and knows her shit and does well to make sure every patron feels at home and can eat and drink in a fun safe cool entertaining and friendly environment. I think whoever the Manager is never taught them one thing about their job. It would be nice to have some new Bartenders in there with personalities and fresh friendly faces but with great work ethics and made sure that all their guest had the best time when at Pts but not just any Pts UNLV Pts which is suppose to be a special place in the community! read more

Located in the corner of a strip mall right across the UNLV campus. There's probably a lot of UNLV students that comes here since the dorms are right across the street. Stopped by before the MWC semi-finals. There was a lot of UNLV fans getting their prefunk on, some New Mexico, San Diego St, and not a lot of Colorado St fans but everyone all representing. It was busy but they did an good job handling all the craziness. Typical neighborhood bar but a little older and maybe need a little touching up. There's the typical bar entertainment tvs, video games, darts, billiard tables, etc . Full bar and great friendly environment. Parking kind of sucks because the lanes right in front are one way and tight confusing when the lot is packed and people are driving in the wrong lanes. Also it shares the lot with other businesses which were equally busy. read more

I had an hour between classes and wanted a quick lunch. I've been to other PT's and thought it might be a good choice. Ambiance: walking in from a bright sunny afternoon sky, it takes a few seconds to accommodate because it is very dark inside. The room is pretty much divided into three sections. You walk into the bar area. Then there is a relatively small area with tables for the eating. And then there is a third section with 8 pool tables. But overall, it was pretty depressing, in part because it was so dark. And in part because it was so empty ( other than me, there were only three people shooting pool in the entire place). Plus, while I was eating someone came in and while sitting at the bar lit up a cigarette. With no real separation between the bar area and the dining area, the smoke drifted over. Yuck!! Service: my server was at the table almost immediately after sitting down. She gave me the specials menu and the full menu. She brought my drink almost immediately. And a different person brought out my food. My server came back a couple of times during the meal to make sure that I didn't need anything else. Overall service was good. Food: I had the barbecue chicken salad. My biggest surprise was that the presentation was excellent (see the photo). And the salad was actually quite tasty. Unfortunately, one third of the plate was chips , which was not mentioned on the menu and I had no interest in. Were I to come back for lunch, I would order it without the chips. Value: Overall, four-star food and service was dragged down by 1 star ambiance. I would not come back here for lunch. read more

You know you're not going for health food when you have a meal at a pub or bar. That's a given and it's okay. You go because you might want a drink and some yummy, sloppy comfort food. Usually, the food is inexpensive and generally the portions are a decent size. Not so at PT's Pub on Tropicana near Maryland Parkway. I ordered the fried fish dinner. It was @$14.00, It came with sides of potato wedges, cole slaw with tartar sauce on the side and lemon wedges. The fish itself was average, nice batter, but the fish was old and dried out. There were a total of 6 french fries on the plate. The cole slaw portion was so small it was served in a condiment cup (1 1/2 tablespoons at most), the same size as the tartar sauce dish. There weren't very many people in the bar/restaurant yet service was slow and the waitress forgetful - she never brought me a lemon wedge for my tap water. Needless to say, I will NEVER eat there again. Next time I have a craving for that kind of food, I'll just cook it in my air fryer! read more

Worst Pts ever! Looks sketchy from the outside but we gave it a try because we were picking someone up and were waiting for a delayed flight. The inside was nice though. Very deceiving from the outside. Our first bartender was very nice and we got our drinks right away. Decided to leave the bar area to play pool and opened a tab. So... when I went back up to grab another drink, another bartender clearly saw me sitting and waiting to order, then turns around and asks "do you need something?" Um, yeah! Hello. So rude. Drinks are overpriced, $7 for a tiny rocks glass of rum and coke with barely any rum. Stay away. Oh yeah! Someone swiped our truck on their way out.
