Stopped by after the remodel to check the place out. Even though claimed on Yelp, the name hasn't been changed yet (renamed to Table + Tap). This kind of sums it up for me - everything kind of halfway there... The good news is - if you liked Pub Bricco, you'll be just as happy if not more with Table + Tab. The place has been cleaned from the inside out, the weird smell is gone, it's brighter and the wait staff, while all pretty inexperienced the night I stopped, at least appear to want to be there and provide good service. The menu is basically the same, just smaller - burgers, salads, some sandwiches, etc. Beer menu is reduced as well but maybe both will be expanded over time. First, let me start with with I love Pub Bricco. I've been an avid patron for a long time. However, after today. I don't think I'll return. Two people working. All the tables around us, including us, left after not being served. There was one server focusing on a large party. Over an hour there, she gave us our drinks and never returned to the table. This was my first visit despite visiting the (sadly, closed) downtown Akron location and the Kent location numerous times. We came on Friday night to enjoy the nice weather and were immediately seated on the spacious patio. I enjoyed the elderflower and blood orange martini, which was well mixed and refreshing. There's an extensive list of cocktails, and there were lots of options for beer and wine. Our server, Grace, was really friendly and let us take our time to enjoy a round of drinks before we decided on food. We went with the risotto balls (so dang good) and a couple of sandwiches. My partner had the pretzel chicken, and I had the spicy chicken wrap. Both were quite good. The main difference between Pub Bricco and the other Bricco restaurants is that it's more casual and the menu has more of an emphasis on small plates and sandwiches. Thank you Pub Bricco staff! We went to Pub Bricco last evening during the torrential rain/flooding event. We tried to wait out the rain after our late dinner and delicious cocktails (thanks to our favorite bartender, Samantha). Finally, we decided even though the rain was still coming down, it was time to go. My boyfriend went to get the car in the flooded parking lot. The swirling, knee deep flood waters knocked him down to the ground. Out of nowhere, two Pub Bricco staff sprinted to assist him in the POURING rain and helped him to his car. The workers had to be drenched head to toe from providing him the most appreciated and very compassionate assistance. We are so grateful to Pub Bricco staff! read more

We ordered the Buffalo chicken wontons as a appetizer, We didn't care at all for the filling, but that is what it is, they where cooked right and looked great, we just didn't like them. Welp.... That was the final straw. Quality has been going downhill for a while. Last week we had problems with our order, and the fixed it (multiple problems). 2 nights ago the waitress messed up and refused to fix it. Then said some very offensive things to our group. We still left a tip, just because we didn't want her to say that we weren't going to tip anyways, and that gave her the right to be awful. She was seriously awful! She should be fired. 3.5 Stars- It's a cool pub, I like the atmosphere. A little dark, with cool wood tables and a large bar. The service was great. Nothing to complain about here. Our waitress was pleasant and was always there when we needed her. The parmesan crusted calamari appetizer is fabulous. It has roasted red peppers, banana peppers, chorizo and a creamy parmesan dressing. It had the perfect kick to it, but not so much you start sweating. I'd order it again. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. It had feta, roasted tomatoes, spinach, tzatziki sauce and came on a multi-grain ciabatta roll. The grilled chicken itself was good, and the flavors together were okay. My biggest problem was the multi-grain ciabatta roll. It was either a tad stale, or way too dense to have on a sandwich. It broke apart in chunks, and was so "bready" and heavy that all I could really taste and feel was the bread. It would have better if it was grilled, or baked so that it was fluffier. I wish I would have customized my order and got a brioche bun. I know they are known for their turkey burgers, but my wife didn't really love hers. It had basil, garlic aioli and sun dried tomatoes, but the taste of the turkey burger itself just didn't do it for her. The sides come a-la-carte. We split sweet potato fries between the two of us for $4 and they were fantastic. More than enough for the two of us, and then some. They were fried perfectly. I know this is a weird thing to review, but the water was better than it usually is at other restaurants. Sometimes they taste a little bit too much out of the tap. Not the case here. The salmon here is always a winner--some of the best (and best-prepared) I've had anywhere (and I've lived in Alaska and Seattle). Salads are good, too--I especially like the spinach salad (with butternut squash, goat cheese, and pepirtas). I tasted their chili (excellent) and the grouper (good, but a bit fishy tasting) as well. This is the first time we've been here in over 6 months- decided to give it one last chance. (The last time we were here we were insulted by the server because we dared to tell her she brought us the wrong appetizer). We were here at just after 6 on a Friday night. They brought the bill just after that, then the food at about 7:22. I immediately dumped mine into the box and took a few bites until my credit card came back. Made our 7:30 show at Weathervane only because it started a few minutes late. To the "new" owners at Pub Bricco: You've had more than sufficient time to work out the kinks. You've basically ruined what was one of our go-to restaurants. You never even reply to the reviews on here. Maybe you should consider dropping Door Dash. This place has THE BEST turkey burger - and it's offered numerous ways on the menu. The restaurant has that "bar" feel but the food far exceeds pub fare! Cozy and masculine, the pub features an open bar area, lots of wood and stone, and dim lighting. Like their downtown counterpart, Pub Bricco offers the Goat Cheese with Spicy Marinara and Fried Pita Chips appetizer (meaning I don't have to drive downtown to partake of one of my favorite craves)! Although I don't enjoy eating outside, this location features an outdoor patio along the parkway bikepath. Bicyclists and hikers flood the patio during the comfortable months. The wine list is extensive but not too "out there". The bottle prices are GREAT - even during non-retail wine days. The prices are so reasonable that if you plan to drink more than a glass of wine you should just order the bottle and take the left-overs home. Great deals include the Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and the Sensual Malbec. As it stands now Retail Wine Day is Thursday. As an added bonus, the restaurant has a jazz club attached to it and a theatre. There is a jazz band every Wednesday evening - it's hard to find jazz in Akron these days. My husband and I came here for dinner recently on a Saturday evening and ran into a few people we knew. When trying to reconcile the issues the manager he got the owner involved which is fine but she was quite rude, very disrespectful and demeaning as they were just "1 dollar tacos" as she kept stating. Taco bell offers one dollar tacos but those come out hot with no threats either. Had an unplanned family lunch at Pub Bricco. We went a little overboard on the appetizers, but they are delicious. We started with the pretzel bites brushed with garlic butter and served with house made queso. They were super good! There's just a faint hint of heat in the queso, and the pretzels themselves are soft and chewy. We also ordered the Goat Cheese Marinara with fried pita chips. It's one of my favorite menu items there. It's slightly spicy, and the goat cheese is at the bottom of the crock of marinara. You stir it all together and then use it as a dip for the "chips". It's awesome! We also got the White wine and butter mussels. It's served with garlic bread to dip in the sauce. Again, great! The broth is super flavorful, and the mussels were cooked perfectly, not chewy at all. So for lunch itself, I ordered a burger with mustard horseradish sauce, Swiss cheese, and homemade onion straws. I asked for it mid rare, and to be honest, expected it to be over that. It was not at all. Perfect execution on the cook. The burger was super juicy still, the cheese was well melted. If I had a criticism, it could have used a touch more salt, and I couldn't get much flavor at all from the sauce. My wife got the chicken parm sandwich. She said it was good, but after all the apps, she only had a bite. It looked really good though. Everyone else we were with said their food was good too. My boyfriend and I couldn't decide on a place for a burger, but we finally settled on Bricco because I had a memory of a good meal a couple years ago. Showed up to the same cozy environment I remember, but WOW have they improved the menu and the food! Their menu is full of endless customizations for burgers and sandwiches, with plenty of unique, yet solid appetizer and entree options. I had their salmon with veggies and rice, my boyfriend had the lamb burger, and we split an order of the Rosemary fries. The table next to us got their food much quicker than us, even though we ordered first, and we received our fries at the same time as our meal which was a little disappointing. But once we tasted the feast set before us, service wasn't a thought in our minds. The salmon was impressive for a little pub like this. Tender and flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the perfectly cooked veggies. His lamb burger was, in his words, a solid burger that makes him want to go back to try a regular hamburger. My favorite part of the meal, though, were the rosemary fries with parmesan dipping sauce. Perfectly crispy on the outside, with a melt-in-your-mouth inside. Not greasy! The rosemary combined with the parmesan was out of this world.
