Came here with the family to watch a World Cup game and had a great time! We came here on Canada Day, which is only marginally celebrated in Quebec City. No air-conditioning so it was stifling hot in here. my fiancée has been here years before for a wedding reception. I think this is my first time here but I've passed it many times. The place is much bigger than it looks, there are rooms upstairs in multiple rooms downstairs as well.. It's probably cooler downstairs. They have outside patio seat seats.. The servers were pretty friendly and we got to chat a little bit.. I would definitely go back. The food and beer came quickly. overall a pretty average Irish pub. read more

Fantastic atmosphere right on Rue Saint-Jean. The stone vaults give this place a great historic vibe that's hard to beat in Old Quebec. I tried the Dublin Heat and the Irish Mule. The Dublin Heat has a great spicy kick that's perfectly balanced, and the Mule was refreshing and crisp. Efficient service and a solid spot to grab a drink while exploring Upper Town. read more

I didn't eat so I can't comment on food options....instead we popped in and sat at the bar. For a pub, I have zero complaints. Service was friendly and drinks were good. I tried the Dublin Heat and Vanilla Colada - both were great! If I didn't live in Arizona I would absolutely return. read more

This was a great spot for a yummy lunch on the patio! The beers were cold, onions rings were as expected. The fish and chips were better than expected- fish was flaky and lightly breaded, coleslaw was sweet and tart from vinegar . Must try. The poutine was ok, very very salty and fries were very oily. An Irish pub in the middle of French Quebec? Yes, there's actually a couple of them. St. Patrick's was very nice! A group of 4 of us stopped in for drinks on a Fall afternoon. The bowl was not very hot to the touch Shepherd pie. This as very good and came to the table very hot and with a very crispy crust. Both of these came with a very nice salid. This is a Irish sports bar. They have patio on Saint. John Street. A lot of people pass by. We went in for a late lunch, most people is for snack time with beer. We would prefer stay outside, but patio doesn't allow stroller, because my baby was sleeping, and tables were so close to each other. Since it is open window, we were ok to stay indoor. But the chairs and tables were high and small, we had many baby stuff, but the host gave us a 2-people table. That's too crowded. We asked for a bigger table, and we switched. So most of their food was cooked with beer or marinated with beer. I tried their specialty Irish Stew ($24) and Cotes Levees St-Patrick ($28). Irish Stew was marinated with Guinness, served with couple pieces of potato, but it didn't come with rice. It was tasty and saucy, but it was a bit salty that should good with rice. The Cotes Levees St-Patrick was ribs that comes with fries and some veggies. There is half or full rack to choose. We only tried half rack, but the size was like full. The rib was really tender and really juicy. Just I felt like I need more sauce than just the little put on top. Overall, we like the food. However, since the patio was not allowed the stroller to get on, but the music was too loud. And when our baby woke up, we requested high chair for my baby, the high chair was even lower than the tables. My baby was kind of like playing underneath. read more

I saw the 2.9 rating and debated going in. When we passed it Sunday, it was jammed full of tourists and very loud but tonight it was Monday and it was quieter. There is a downstairs which was pretty empty and we went there. Good oldies played and the atmosphere was nice. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and my wife got a single cheeseburger. Both our meals were good with plenty to eat. Our waiter was attentive even though he was busy helping elsewhere and it was an enjoyable experience. I would probably go back if in Quebec again. I knocked off one star because it was a little higher priced than nearby restaurants for basically the same menu. I also asked for more coke and the waiter brought another mug and charged me for 2 sodas. Most restaurants are not so stingy. read more

I passed this place about 8 times and wanted to come in... and the bartender from Louise also suggested it. It's a pretty low-key spot, right on the corner of St. Jean-something and something else...but really it sits on a corner where 3 streets cross it's path. When you're not from the area, trying to figure out how to get to street parking in the right direction is a fun adventure. Took me 3 tries, but I finally got it! I showed up around 9:45 on a Wednesday night. They had live acoustic music. He was playing NOT what I expected....which would have been Irish music. Not even French music. But rather good ole American tunes. Like Tom Petty. The bartender was happy and friendly and helped me choose the cider made from Quebec (not great but it was tasty enough) and the poutine, which was supposed to be a smallish portion of food. But it was HUGE! I took a few bites and thought I put a bit of a dent in it, but when I put the leftovers in the box to take home with me, it was FULL! I thought the clientele was mixed and they have an outdoor seating area. Both inside, the bar, tables and chairs - there was plenty of space for all your friends! But it was a little tight inside. My daughter and I like a good irish pub, so we thought this would be a safe bet. After 30 minutes I asked the server if the food would be out soon and she said "not long". After 45 minutes, she came back to offer us free drinks. When I said, no, that I only wanted my food, she glared at me. When the food finally came (more than one hour) my daughter's entree looked fine. My cobb salad was drenched in dressing; I ate the toppings and that was that. Will not return. read more

Food was good. We tried Fried chicken with masala battered it was very tasty surprisingly. It's a different approach of fried chicken. Add a little ketsup and much better. French fries were good . An Irish pub that is located in the middle of French Quebec. A group of us wanted to grab a drink prior to diner and Pub Saint Patrick was so alluring with all of the brightly colored green lights outside. There was a guitar player that had just finished up his set and we were brought to a table downstairs. They have la fin du monde on tap! Unheard of! That is actually one of my favorite beers so I was so happy to have the opportunity to have that there. We didn't try any food but the service was good. My only complaint was the server was a bit eye rolley when I asked to charge my phone at the bar. As a tourist that was out all day I needed some more juice. read more

Yes, it looks authentic with plenty of green shades. We popped in for lunch and I ordered a Harp. The waiter, all decked out in Irish garb, says what's that? It's a famous larger beer. He says they have Guinness. I try to explain that Guinness is a brand and he was referring to Guinness STOUT. Harp is brewed by Guinness. He wandered back to the bar and made a joke about us with staff which we could hear. The food? Nothing special and definitely not Irish. Don't waste your time. Give it a pass. read more

We went on a Friday for lunch. We were seated downstairs. It's a neat atmosphere with many little rooms with a cellar feel to them. I had the chicken Cobb salad. I requested grilled chicken. They served it as shredded dark chicken. I was expecting a sliced breast. The greens looked fresh. The bacon tasted like canned bacon bits. The sweet potato fries were good. It's a $4 up charge to the chicken sandwich to replace regular fries. The fried cheese curd appetizer had many empty because the cheese had leaked out during the frying process. Don't bother, lots of other places to choose from. The waiter seated us on the patio, beautiful, wonderful, great evening for it. We saw him for the drink order, food order and because he wanted us to pay the bill. Of the 4 of us 1 is a diabetic who got the wrong meal, the waiter didn't write it down, that's fine if you can get it right. So the poor girl took the wrong meal back, the kitchen rushed the correct one which came cold in the middle. Because he took his insulin at the time he thought he'd be eating it wasn't good later for him. For a restaurant in the heart of the tourist area it was really good. The onion rings were fantastic and the burger was cooked really good. The rustic interior makes the restaurant feel quaint and surprisingly there is lots of seating both upstairs and downstairs. Stopped in on a Monday night. It's an Irish bar with the usual decor. The main room you walk into has a bar and tables. There is also an upstairs and a basement with another bar. They have outdoor seating. From what we saw it was mainly a tourist crowd. They had live music and the guy was very good. Decent draft beer and whiskey selection. Stopped in to grab a quick beer and watch some of the Miami Heat game. This beer is a Canadian brand and very tasty. The place brought me back to Europe with their Pub style decor. Service was very good and everyone was friendly. Lots of big TV's and classic rock playing. They also serve different types of coffee and tea. read more

Pub Saint-Patrick is a simple Irish Pub. The best thing about the pub is the wonderful wait staff. They were nice and attentive, a great environment. The pub itself is a lovely and cozy environment. It was perfect for sitting and having a pint to escape the snow for us. The food is just ok pub food, not great and not bad. I would be very happy having a pint or two and then hitting one of the local restraints, great food in Quebec City. But if you are just looking for a quick burger or bar snack there's nothing wrong with grabbing it at Pub Saint-Patrick. This is also a super Connie Yang location in the heart of Old Quebec. So come in and enjoy a beer, take a break from the cold or the miles of walking around and get a good reset to continue your day. read more

We have been frequenting St. Patrick's since about 2016 and have been highly satisfied. This trip was a different story....Our usual salmon on a bed of mashed potatoes came burned with a side of fries ( the alleged chef forgot to tell bar staff that he was out of Mashed). The bangers and mash was in turn burned sausage (not banger) and a side of fries (not mash) and a plastic cup of gravy. The bartender was horrified and took it all back. He was incredibly apologetic and didn't charge us. I will give the place a chance if I get there on our yearly visit but won't order food unless the chef is replaced. Nothing exciting, but enjoyable in a cool old building. I had no idea the building was so BIG until I went to the restroom. You need a gps to find your way back! This pub is in my neighborhood so I go here fairly frequently. The service is excellent, the food is very good and not over-priced: for example, the fish and chips are perfection. The quality of the drinks and beer is excellent. And add to that live music on many nights and you have the recipe for a perfect pub! The fact that it's in a touristy neighborhood might put people off; and, indeed, I've tried most of the restaurants in this area and they're mostly mediocre and over-priced. Saint Patrick's stands out as an exception. I love it - and I'll continue to come here throughout my summer in Quebec City. read more
