I was horribly treated by the manager at La Clinica, Jayne Gary. I have gone to La Clinica a few…read moretimes for facial electrolysis treatments related to my side effects from previous endocrine therapy for breast cancer. Due to these medical reasons, I submitted claims for the electrolysis to my health insurance company, who has reimbursed me in the past for electrolysis that I received from another provider. In order to submit my claims for La Clinica, I just needed Jayne to sign a simple form, but, for some reason, she went out of her way to inconvenience and alienate me when I made this minor request. In a hostile and exasperated way, Jayne told me that she doesn't like dealing with insurance companies, and she wouldn't give me the necessary information for a claim (such as a tax ID number) until I insisted on it. I even had to help her understand the difference between a tax ID number and a state license number, as she apparently didn't know this. In addition, Jayne aggressively questioned me about my cancer treatment, and I had to send her a letter from my oncologist verifying my cancer-related need for electrolysis. On top of that, my oncology social worker needed to call Jayne on the phone and explain the situation. I have been to other electrologists in the past, and none of them made these weird requests of me. I don't know what Jayne's agenda is. Jayne's behavior was especially weird given that I paid her for the services in full, and I was just taking steps to get reimbursements from my insurance. It was very unclear why she feels so uncomfortable with insurance forms, and why she is so resistant to being helpful. It appeared that she was going out of her way to alienate me. I would caution anyone against going to La Clinica, but especially anyone who is seeking treatments for medical reasons. The last thing that a person with a serious health problem needs is the added stress of interacting with someone like Jayne.

What I continue to go back for is to have my hair cut by Olga because I'm happy with the results…read moreevery single time. She is friendly and professional. The salon itself is clean and good. Nothing super special to me. It also doesn't have a young/modern feel to it and perhaps I would try somewhere else if Olga weren't available there. Parking is in front of the salon which is convenient.

I told Amber exactly what I wanted and showed her one picture from Pinterest, and an hour of snipping and great conversation later-- BAM! I could not be more pleased with how my hair turned out. At 50 bucks for a shampoo/excellent cut/blow out, I feel like I robbed the place. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

The facility is in a building that appears to have been a house at one time, but it was cozy. I had to go upstairs for my haircut. For those that may have problems with stairs, they may have rooms downstairs on the main floor. My simple man's haircut was $30 alone. Gratuity is typically 20% so by the time I got a simple haircut it cost me $36. Gratuity must be paid in cash or Venmo. You may use credit cards for the actual service. After further review of my haircut, I noticed that I had a "shelf" where it should've been tapered smoothly. I was able to fix it myself at home. I have been to a smaller barber shop in the area that cost with gratuity only $20. I will likely go back to that barber shop. I cannot attest to how well The Salon on Main performs female hairstyles.

Getting my hair dyed was my first experience at Split Endz. Nicole is the one who did my ombré and it turned out AMAZING. She made sure I 100% loved the colors before sending me on my way. During the appointment, she was super friendly and kept conversation going. Carrie is who I go to for my 4-6 week trim. So far, I've been more than pleased. When I tell her what I want, she makes sure to do exactly that. She never takes off too much but makes sure my ends are looking and feeling healthy. She always blow dries my hair and straightens it at the end of every appointment and gives me great advice on what I should be doing with my hair to keep it healthy. I've never been disappointed when visiting Split Endz and will continue to go.
