I received top notch customer service from Dorothy, the manager on site during my reservation and subsequent move-in. She was patient and thorough in answering all of my questions. The facility just opened in Feb. 2015 so it's brand new and spotless. There are cameras everywhere, and each leasee has their own personal access code, so folks can't go running around all willy nilly. Now on the Public Storage system website: I had previously reserved a space at another facility, only to get there and find out that they in fact did NOT have the space I needed. The manager was apologetic and offered to check other nearby locations for availability. On the website there were four facilities near the one I had originally reserved, and all showed availability. Thank goodness the manager had the gumption to call and check because lo and behold they, too, did NOT have the space I needed. I would have been driving around like a crazy person. The website also does not advise that there is a $19 fee for the lock that comes with your unit, and that insurance is mandatory and not optional. Basically, they're not holding themselves liable for your stuff even though you're PAYING them a monthly fee to keep it secure. Okay, sheesh. An extra $11/mo to insure items that aren't even worth half the maximum liability. Ultimately not a big deal to me but may be to someone else. The $1 promotional move-in rate is a selling point and is advertised just about everywhere. It was on the website and is posted on a banner outside of the building; it's even posted here on Yelp! So imagine my surprise when I arrive to move in and my reservation can no longer be found, despite me having a confirmation email and receiving a prompt call from Dorothy to confirm. It just disappeared out of the system! I re-do the reservation on site from my phone, and you guessed it, no more promo rate listed for my space! I now have to pay the $53 full month rate plus the $22 admin fee (whatever that is) plus the $19 lock fee, plus the $11/mo insurance, and now I'm over 100 bucks for move in. So much for $1 being a selling point. I would have made a fuss but quite frankly it wasn't Dorothy's fault and I needed to move ASAP. I suppose this is how these people make their money. Nevertheless, I'm semi content knowing that my stuff will be secure while I'm abroad, but it would certainly behoove Public Storage Systems to provide thorough, up-to-date and accurate information on their website! read more

DONT RENT HERE !!! I REPEAT DONT RENT HERE!!! My storage unit went from $102 to $303 for the same exact unit . they beg you to opt into auto draft and they scam you !!! I left a hidden camera inside my unit and STAFF opens and closes my unit periodically!!! don't rent here they drilled my lock off and replaced it and I was locked out of my unit until staff arrived 3 days later . Staff is NEVER there! They don't answer the phone, the elevators are ALWAYS broken (at least one) and the rent is tooooo high! I just paid my storage for October and for November my price will change from 118.00 to 155.00 for the same exact amount of space. read more

The 2515 Cumberland Parkway location is unmanned - there is absolutely no one ever there. In the beginning when the lady was there she was unprofessional always eating lunch at the counter and talking on her cell phone. We attempted to move out and called daily, left voicemail messsages and went to the location and never reached anyone. When we called the corporate office they said there was nothing they could do and would send an email to let someone know no staff is present, but there would be no follow up or assistance. To top it off they want to charge me for the month of August because even though no staff was present to schedule a move out date for July 31st it is on me to pay for the full month of August. Scam! Do not rent from this location, ever! read more

They did it again... raised my rent 35% with no notification. If you are on auto pay you must watch your bills because if you don't they will raise your rent 20-35% without telling you. Their chat is all AI generated answers and it's terrible communication. It frustrates the heck out of you and the local manager is also rude. They will not help you with anything they only give you a 1-800 number to log your complaint. read more

I HATE this place! We had a unit on Roswell Rd. and moved here a month ago. The other Public Storage location kept the flatbeds in the lobby and the only time you had to put in a code was after the office closed. At this location you have to put a code in to get into the loading lobby, then you have to put a code into the elevator to get to any floor other than the bottom floor. The worst of all is that you have to show the office you're driver's license to get a flatbed. I was just there, a Sunday, during business hours, and NO ONE IS THERE. I had to carry 2-3 flatbeds worth of stuff by hand. This place is a pain in the ass. And if the company replies that I don't have an account it's because the account is under the non-profit's name I volunteer for. read more

Although the facility is acceptable, the staffing is not. On most occasions, I had to wait an inordinately long time for someone to open the office - during business hours. The only carts available to make it even remotely easier to move in/out are kept locked in the office. The lady in the office seems to get bored and wanders off in the property somewhere leaving the carts unavailable. Speaking of carts, they're terrible. Incredibly rickety and constantly coming apart. I needed a storage space for a few weeks so i ended up renting here. I've actually been going here for a few years just to get boxes and packing supplies & the staff here is super friendly. I've needed last minute uhals and they've made them available within the hour sometimes. They offer 1 month free for storage units and if you are done with it before that month is up basically you pay nothing. The storages are climate controlled. They have extra security measures all around the entrance and in the storage building to secure your things and i loved it. I'd definitely use them again if I ever need it. read more

Very unhappy doing business with this facility. I paid all my deposits and fees upfront. I had my own lock and key i purchased from them. Then after I rented my moving truck loaded all my items into the truck then unloaded them at the facility I find out there is another lock on my individual storage unit. No reason why! Management has gone home, I call the facility phone number and the operator says come back in the morning. They couldn't have cared less about the situation they put me in. I had a reservation here. Received a call after I made the reservation on line. The young lady was nice but kept pushing I complete the rental process online. I knew I may need a bigger storage so I wanted to wait until Saturday to actually see them. However the storage irked was reserved ! Well I get there Saturday with a reservation to move in that day and guess what.....no one is there. Literally. I have movers, a truck the whole nine. I reach out to corporate and no one can tell me why no one is at the location DURING business hours. And the most frustrating part is I talked to a young woman AT the facility 3 days prior to. I'm assuming this is why she was pushing the online process. I had to run across town and secure another unit and as I thought, I ended up needing a bigger unit. Unprofessional and unreliable. Update-Last few months, doors are broken, so big problem if you need to come after 6. To fix the problem, they often have to leave doors open, which means inside units are hot as ac(when it is working) is outside & paying for climate control is void. I had to movers for extra hours as with doors broken, they could only get in door on opposite side of building, so each load had to go through several different doors and walk 20 times as far. Ac was broken for weeks which meant my customers & I were pouring sweat while I am paying top dollar for ac-climate control. Very disappointing. Sarah is good, but has a lot of issues that she is not in control of. Management does nothing to reimburse customers for problems & possible damage due to bugs & heat...they also have only 2 carts for the whole building & can only be checked out during office hours, if not in use. Come after hours & you have to hand carry everything through the numerous halls & opening several doors while carrying furniture. Very poorly planned location with totally inadequate parking, one entrance/exit, so quite a show when a few trucks there trying to back out of narrow space. read more

Dorothy was super kind and knowledgable. The facility was clean and in a convenient location, right off of the 285 freeway. Dorothy made sure that I knew how to lock and unlock my unit, which was very helpful. She also made sure that I had a chance to practice with the keypad on the elevator and outside the glass doors. Keep on driving by....The facility is beautiful and impeccably kept up. This is the only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1. First, it's incredibly overpriced for the size of the space you get. Drive two miles north or west and save yourself 30%. Second, they only have two carts for the entire building. That's right - TWO carts. So if more than two people are here and need carts at the same time (which is very likely, especially on the weekends) you are SOL. In fact today someone checked one out "this morning" but still hasn't returned it by mid-afternoon. They have no idea where it is or when it will be returned. The office staff can't seem to fathom how this is an issue even though I am the 4th person they've had to turn away in the last hour who needed one, and 3 more have been turned away since I have been sitting here waiting. Lastly, the office staff. Customer service here is laughable although everyone is kind. I have never interacted with less helpful individuals. Not because they don't want to help but mainly because company policy ties their hands and makes it impossible for them to be at all helpful. My advise is to not be impressed by the shiny new building and go elsewhere. I am moving out just to never have to deal with them again (into a unit just up the road, 40% bigger, for the same price.) Oh, and the new place had 6 carts available today just in the building where my but was located. Go figure. read more

Great location and well maintained. Very helpful and friendly staff. Especially enjoyed the helpfulness and good cheer of "Sarah"! Parking for loading and unloading from larger trucks can be a challenge so checking with the staff on best days and times is recommended. I do think the $22 one time admin fee is a little excessive in light of costs at the upper end of the market. read more

This is a nice facility compared to the one I've been renting in S.C. Dorothy is just amazing - lovely to work with and very efficient. I do agree with another reviewer that the automatic door is a pain when I'm by myself trying to drop off a few boxes and I have to balance the box on one knee and punch the code every time I need to get back in, then balance the box on one knee again while trying to open the small door. The other location allowed you to prop open the one wide door when dropping things off. Plus, the parking lot is very small. There are only a few spaces and on a busy day there's nowhere to park. But the place is clean, convenient and safe and Dorothy is always there to assist if I need anything. read more

Very upset with this location. This is not even a mile from my current residence. I went online to put a hold on a unit because I will be moving out next week. They called me that day and told me I needed to come in either today or tomorrow to fill everything out. I told them I couldn't because of work but I could come in early next week. I was told it was a first come first serve and I would have to cancel if I couldn't come in that day. I even offered to pay online because I really need the unit. Why even offer a hold date if you are not going to honor it. If moving wasn't already stressful you just made mine 10x harder. read more
