I rented a unit here about 6 months ago. I have had to access my unit multiple times at all times of the day. I have always felt safe and secure at this facility. The property is always kept clean with no trash blowing around the property. My unit is in the climate controlled building and I have never found anything out of place or any trash in the hallways. The sweet young lady working in the office is always so polite and helpful. And she recognizes you when you walk in the door. It is always a pleasure to have to bother her :). I recommend this storage site to anyone who is looking for a reputable, clean, safe location for their valuables. read more

i canceled my rental six months ago. I cleared my unit. they clearly and unequivocally told me my account was settled and there was nothing left for me to do. they clarified that I would no longer be charged. I have continued to be charged every month. I've call multiple times and left messages and have received no answer. read more

The customer service has been very nice; however, the company's business ethics seem questionable. Be cautious of their "promotional" offers. Even if you read the contract thoroughly, they have found ways to circumvent their terms. I rented a small unit (5x5) for $32 a month, starting in August 2023. In February 2024, my fee increased to $60 a month, despite the contract stating that I was entitled to a 30-day notice before any changes. I am seeking reimbursement for the period from February 2024 to October 2024. Despite several attempts to contact the district manager, I have been unable to reach anyone. As of today, October 16, 2024, the same unit is advertised online for $27 a month. read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

Then go up on the price after putting a few items on the truck. Then after that STILL DID NOT GET EVERYTHING. Left a whole trip behind and "go down on the price" but turn around and go right back up on the price again while headed to the drop off location (SO UNPROFESSIONAL). Then try to go up on the price AGAIN and refuse to unload my items and tried to say that's the price that's owed is without the deposit ,but the whole time telling me that was the full pricing of the move "which should include the deposit" Long story short I was FORCE to OVER PAY than what was agreed THEN still have to MAKE 1 move TRIP with a truck ($200) AND the MESS up my NEW CONSTRUCTION WALLS and LEFT EVERYTHING ON THE 1ST LEVEL and in the Garage... My husband called ahead when we were moving our belongings and spoke to the site manager and she assured him that we would have a storage unit when we arrived. When I arrived to Wheeler Road Self Storage after a long day of moving and a very long drive, the site manager graciously took care of me and squared me away with a unit that was exactly appropriate for what we had to store. The process was very quick and pleasant and the terms were clearly explained such as rental insurance, fees, etc. There are great features at this facility but the one that I appreciate the most is the on-site security. There are cameras throughout as well as the gated access requiring your passcode to gain access to the part where the storage units are located. Another feature if you need it is the air conditioned unit option. If you want a storage unit where you can feel safe and have your belongings there without much worry, then you should strongly consider these folks here! There are several locations throughout Augusta, just search and see what is more convenient for you!

I recently moved and used Mighty Titans to help me load and unload the U-Haul we rented. When I…read morefirst moved to the area, I used Two Men and a Truck and did not have the best experience. I can happily say that this was not the case with Mighty Titans. I asked for a quote on Yelp and Ginger contacted me within 24 hours to answer all my questions. The movers, Anthony and Rick, showed up and didn't waste any time surveying the house and loading the truck. They worked diligently, knew just how to load and unload the truck to fit everything, and were very polite. Everything got to our new house just like it was when we packed it and they helped put the furniture back together. While carrying furniture into the new house, the movers nicked the wall going up the stairs. It was an honest mistake and they were genuinely sorry that it happened. Ginger was quick to help us resolve the issue, and they again apologized for the error. Overall I had a great experience and would absolutely recommend using Mighty Titans. Of note, I used a 26ft U-Haul truck and only reserved the movers for 4 hours when really it took 5 (they just charge you after the fact if you go over). I would recommend at least 5-6 hours if you are going to use that size truck. Also make sure that you get an appliance dolly and furniture pads if you need them. The Mighty Titan movers only bring a regular size dolly and a toolkit for furniture.

Needed some muscle to move a few boxes and relocate some furniture around my house after our…read moremilitary move. Usually my husband and I would try to do it, but he had back surgery last year. I didn't want to push him, so we hired someone else to do the heavy lifting. I spoke with Ginger on and off about the service, price and method of payment accepted. On our agreed upon date, two young men showed up at the agreed upon time. The minimum time allotment was 2 hours and that wasn't a problem. I quickly showed them around and put them to work. They were very respectful and careful with my items. We relocated a sectional, another large sofa, an entertainer from the garage, and lots of boxes. At the end of our time, Ginger was called and she sent an electronic invoice which I was allowed me to pay without providing my credit card info over the phone which is a pet peeve for me. All in all a great service. I wish I knew the fellas that help with my particular move as I'd request the same team. That would be nice.

I also priced full service moves by brokers and relocation companies but the cost was triple and the reviews of nearly all companies in the industry were sketchy. The cost was less than a DIY with a truck & towing my car. The UPACK team's customer service from pick-up (South east) to drop off (West Coast) finish was above & beyond my expectations. All promised timelines were met and my belongings were perfect (see better and after photo). The consistency was such a pleasant surprise because the carriers were communicative and accommodating all the way through the process. ABF even delayed the drop off for me so I could celebrate the holidays with family. In closing, if all of UPACK's are this awesome, I highly recommend!
